If I’d watched this earlier, I probably would’ve hated both the story and the male lead but realistically, most people are drawn to attractive people. Even the female lead, who was considered unattractive had a crush on the most popular boy. The sad part is that no one wants to be seen with the “unattractive” person in class even if they’re not considered attractive themselves. The world can be unfair like that.
This one was visually the best and they added some nice details too, like when he explained how he dealt with things as a teenager. But the ending in every version has felt choppy. What was the point of apologizing to himself? I was ready to overlook his mistakes from when he was younger but the conclusion felt so lukewarm
This version has a better ending and the FL actually holds the ML accountable a lil bit. But The storytelling here was weaker and it lacked the intensity the other versions had.
The other versions had more depth in their characters and past actions. I kinda felt bad for him too there. It felt like he would always love that one girl, no matter the appearance. But those versions had a sloppy ending
I know everyone hates the sml, but fl suddenly not liking him and forgetting about him would not be believable.…
The problem is, this is a 12 episode drama and the SML will show up in episode 9 too. If it were a longer drama, she could have taken her time. Spending the entire drama with one man, then suddenly realizing she loves someone else and ending up with him? Most viewers don’t like that.Right now, it’s just bad storytelling.
FL doesn’t deserve the ML or even Woojoo. She’s his legal guardian for God’s sake. I’m not dropping it since there are only four episodes left. They’ll probably just make her end up with the ML for the sake of it. Taehyung deserves better than her half baked love. This is one of the few dramas where I feel the FL doesn’t deserve the ML
But she isnt suddenly switching tho? R we watching the same show haha...after they "sleep" together in…
Honestly, I’ve lost hope for the love story after seeing her go on a date with the SML in episode 8. It would’ve been fine if it happened earlier but now I’m thinking they might show the main couple kissing right after she gets back from the date.
But she isnt suddenly switching tho? R we watching the same show haha...after they "sleep" together in…
That’s the main issue I have with this tho. She’s clearly falling for Taehyun too, while still having heart fluttering moments with the SML. She’s prioritizing the SML over the ML in her romantic life. But after all this, we know the rules of Kdramas, she’ll end up back with the male lead. I just feel we, as the audience, deserved better than this double dating mess in such a short drama.
The premise was good but in a 12 episode drama, if the female lead likes another guy for eight episodes and then suddenly switches to the male lead, it feels unfair to both the audience and him. It really sucks when a drama you thought would be your favorite goes downhill like this. This happened with two recent dramas too. When will writers learn to balance a story properly
The real question is: “Who *isn’t* a nepo baby in this industry?”It’s incredibly hard to break into the…
IMO being a nepo isn’t really an issue if you’re talented. Most industries run on connections and networking. It only becomes a problem when those connections are used to hijack the storyline and screen time
Is the guy playing the second lead a nepo baby in real life? He’s getting so much screen time despite barely being relevant to the plot. I’m wondering because in another drama I’m watching, the antagonist turned out to be a nepo baby irl and she’s getting more screen time with the male lead than the female lead. They even changed the storyline in the second half to fit her in
Now I get why manhwa fans get so annoying whenever an adaptation is announced. I don’t even read manhwa that much but I was really hoping this one would get a good adaptation.
He’s the last person I imagined playing Iseop. It’s sooo disappointing. Could they really not find a male lead in his 20s or early 30s for this role? The character acts immature a lot of the time and watching someone pushing 40 do that would be painful.
He actually fits The Remarried Empress but he doesn’t fit this role at all
THIS HAS THE MOST SEXUAL TENSION I’VE SEEN IN ANY VERTICAL DRAMA I just wish the male lead had cleared up the misunderstanding and reassured her sooner. But I guess without the miscommunication, the story wouldn’t really exist
THIS IS THE BEST AND MY MOST REWATCHED VERTICAL DRAMA I’m not sure if it was officially adapted from the Who Is the Prey manhua but the first half felt exactly like it. I remember reading it and literally getting nightmare the same night because the male lead was so evil, yet I still cried at the last letter he wrote to the female lead.
This drama changed a lot of the things I disliked in the manhua, which made the male lead more watchable. He was still cruel at the beginning but a fully faithful version would’ve been unbearable. I ended up crying during the last few scenes here too
I didn’t expect a vertical drama to be this well made or acted. Their kissing scenes together felt really intimate and authentic. I had tried another adaptation before but it was so bad I dropped it. Here the actors did a great job.
But the drama was handled in a comic tone that didn’t suit the story at all. The acting from both leads felt very amateur
