On With You Nov 17, 2020
Title With You
Since no one has mentioned the last story (eps 19-20), I'll talk about it. I thought it was the funniest, despite the seriousness of the entire drama. It's nice to have some comic relief sometimes. This story literally made me feel ALL the feels. I felt that this story was the most relatable. It not only covered ordinary community volunteers, but also the people that had to stay at home during lockdown without going anywhere. It was a really nice story to close out the drama.

Am I missing something about the ending? Du Lei never get into trouble for his actions? FL was going to resign but then showed up back to work? I'm so confused.

Are you watching "Like in the movies"? You definitely should try! It's amazing :3
No, I don't really watch shows while they're airing, but I'll def check it out once it finishes. :D

I've seen a few, but ultimately they were too long and hard to find subs so it was not worth the effort. I need to check out more shorter series like Gameboys. This reminds me, i need to go back and finish On the Wings of Love. :/

I always find it interesting how creative people can get to work around censorship laws. I did not read Zhen Hun, but I enjoyed watching Guardian. I'm sure it would've been amazing without the censorship. For me, the most absurd censorship to come out of china was the rap/hip hop ban and the SK ban in tv shows/dramas.

She did tho. IMO.
Yes, she did toward the end, but by then it was too late for me cuz I had lost my interest. I did see some boldness earlier on and in the middle regarding their relationship. That was nice, but I wish I could have seen more, especially when it came to her music playing and interacting with others.

At a certain point, I just wanted to be put out of my misery. I don't know why I continued watching to the end...I think I was waiting for FL to have some character growth.

I haven't watched many because I am still not used to listening to Cantonese yet and it's hard to find subs sometimes. I'm looking forward to checking out some of these dramas. :D I've been eyeing Line Walker for awhile now. I'll probably check out Barrack O'Karma and Love in Time for October. ^^

I'm a sap so even happy, touching scenes make me cry. xD I'm fine with some tears as long as it doesn't end in tragedy. Luckily, I was able to get over most of the dramas mentioned in this article. The drama that still traumatizes me until today due to sad story is I'm Sorry I Love You (kdrama). My heart breaks for the ML. Anyways, the good thing about sad character stories is that it usually means there is some depth to the story or has well rounded characters.

Yes! Thank you! The shirtless objectification has gotten so bad that it's almost mandatory to include a shirtless scene in the first two episodes to give people something to talk about. And the scene is usually entirely unrelated to the plot (shower, etc.). Even for fans, it's not even a nice surprise, it's something they've come to expect. Also, you know it's really a problem when the camera starts zooming in on their chest.

Is it episodic? Like most American procedurals, one case per episode?
Idk if you still need an answer, but it's not episodic.
