Not that there are many e-sports dramas out there, but this makes top 2 for me.
I know cute posters can be deceiving, but the 2 other dramas I've seen from this director were pretty decent so I'm optimistic.
The only thing I don't get is why does Xu Wei not like Xiao Bei in the beginning? He had no reason to.
But of course, what I watch will depend on what gets subbed.
Interesting you mention listening to the OST before watching the drama. I don't think I could do that. Some dramas have great OSTs, but they don't match the scenes or moments in the dramas. I need to see the drama in its entire context. This is where sound mixing plays a crucial role along with the OST. It could make or break a drama. As for the dull, boring music, I just end up fast forwarding through those scenes. ^^;; But in any case, memorable OSTs make memorable dramas.
Just curious if you're seen Go Go Squid. That's based off an actual hacking/cyber security competition. I know hacking isn't really as glamorous as it sounds, but apparently they actually do hype up the competition like any other e-sports competition (but there's less screaming fans).
I usually avoid fan theories, but I find it interesting you mention it ruins the drama if you read too many. They're addicting, but I can see how they ruin the element of surprise. It sucks when a scenario is written way better than what actually happens.
