Don't know if someone already pointed it out: They reposted the BTS of Ep 7 and deleted the scene where Nanon…
It's not fishy. I already mentioned it below to another comment, but I personally consider that 100 % the right thing to do. I actually question why it was kept in the deleted version β someone messed up or didn't stop to think. It's an integrity thing. While I enjoy watching the BTS clips, I don't think those should capture intimate scenes. Imagine trying to focus on a sensitive or otherwise difficult scene while having the BTS camera guy filming you β that has got to be unpleasant at best, disruptive at worst. I've so far only watched BTS clips for The Untamed and Bad Buddy, but both of those had a few moments where the actors asked the BTS camera guy to leave them alone. I feel like BTS should only show stuff that's not intimate or otherwise sensitive.
Moreover I found it amusing that some people are blaming "Bad buddy" for the fact that "Not me" is not getting…
Isn't it like common knowledge that if more than one show with a similar topic airs, word of mouth (in particular) becomes beneficial for all shows? I think Not Me will probably be helped by the Bad Buddy hype train, much like 2Gether became a gateway for fans to find GMMTV (and other production companies) other BL shows.
Hopefully fans who throw blame around will calm down eventually. I think both shows are so incredibly different β like night and day β that I can easily follow both at the same time.
That's good imo! BTS clips can easily get too close to the actors' process of feeling out the scenes and getting into character, etc, and I feel like we viewers don't need to see all that. I've seen a few BTS clips from various shows where it's clear that the actors don't want to be filmed, so I think it's good that they mostly show only the less intimate scenes. As fans, of course we want to see it all, but the actors' integrity is more important.
I like how Backaof executed Pat's improv scene - where other auditionees took the lines from the script - talking…
Aha! I didn't get that Pat was doing an improvisation! I kind of thought it was a bit weird that the play had a scenario that fit exactly to Pat and Pran's circumstances.
Regarding the abundance amount of product placement in ep 7, I saw someone mentioning that it might be because…
I've been thinking the same thing: squeeze as much product placement in as possible, so that they won't have to disrupt the dramatic scenes with in-story commercials. It makes sense to me! Aof al so managed to make most of those commercials quite quirky and sexy, which makes them a bit more easy to accept despite the fact that I'm not a fan of ppl.
This is legit one of my most anticipated series for 2022! Mike/Toptap and Singto/Krist didn't really float my boat, but I could feel the chemistry between Mike and Krist immediately! I also really love the concept for the story with the time rewinding mechanic to explore different timelines, and the fact that both of the male main characters are bi/pan. If you've ever played the game Life is Strange, you'll know the potential for dramatic storytelling through time manipulation, though I'm absolutely not expecting You Are My Favourite to get as dark as LiS.
Regarding Pran's mum saying, 'Just not the kids next door', she was referring to both Pat and Pa (since she said…
Definitely this. I think the story has made strong indications in both Pran and his mom's dialogue that Pran's mom and Pat's dad used to date, but it ended incredibly badly:
"This is Pat. Doesn't he look like a CHEATER* like my mom says?" is Pran's first voice over line. I don't think Pran has any knowledge, just repeating things his mom has told him during the years because to her mind it "like father like son".
And when Pat confronts Pran's mom in episode 7 and his dad comes up beside him, suddenly all of Pran's mom's criticism is personal critique directed at Pat's dad. "Maybe he just wants to get away from YOU*?" and so on.
Pat's dad on his sad looks very hurt/guilty whenever she remarks on him and just can't come up with any retort.
Plus, most telling for me, is how BOTH Pat and his dad turn around and look behind them while leaving afterwards.
And there's also the matter of Pran's mom being mentioned constantly as the driving force behind sending Pran away from Pat. Pran seems to worry about her most of the time, not even mentioning his dad when he refers to the possibility of being sent away when talking to Wai in episode 6.
I haven't read the novel or manga (don't know which it is) that this is based. So only going off the show. But…
I have to confess it's been soo long since I read R&J that I can't remember some of the minor characters. I don't see this story as ending tragically, but I think we'll get a lot of heartbreak before then.
ok just realized something, earlier in this episode, Pa and Pat talk about his girlfriend in middle school and…
It's a good reveal about Pat, because it's both a strength and a character flaw that exposes him to manipulation. I think that could be a reason for him reacting strongly to Wai manipulating Pran, but I guess we'll see if the story decides to go there.
I liked the episode. But the editor keeps making these little mistakes that I can't get over, you can tell that…
You're not alone! I don't always notice the editing goofs on my first watch, but I sure notice a ton of them when rewatching. I think it's a combination of the on site crew not photographing positions etc (I've seen BTS of Chinese dramas where they're super careful about that) and the editor prioritising the best shots despite stuff not staying consistent.
I've seen mobile phones moving around the scenes, positions changing between quick reaction shots, recorders hidden behind shirts clearly showing in picture, bruises where the person wasn't shown to be hit, etc.
I love the show to pieces despite all this, but once I start recommend it to my friends I'll have to think about it since not all viewers are ok with watching goofs like that.

Since the story is only very loosely based on R&J (I wouldn't even have picked up on it either if it hadn't been mentioned in the final trailer), so we can't perfectly match everyone to their Shakespeare counterparts. Wai is clearly the Tybalt of BB to me. I feel like there isn't any Mercutio at all, but if there is one, I'm going with your theory that Pa plays that role, or Ink. They certainly fit that role better than Korn.
i was a huge shooter for wai since he always seemed like a great friend who always has prans back, but this episode…
Seeing how Pran's friends behaved in the episode prior to this was also an eye opener. I think they started out nice, but we've gradually been exposed to their less nice side. Perhaps Pat's friends who started out as pretty crappy dudes will get some good moments going forward, to balance it out?
I feel like I just drank a whole cup full of happiness. I'm just so content right now! I want to send Aof flowers for creating this show and insisting on Ohm and Nanon to play it β writing it with them in mind, even. I love how proud the cast are of their performances, and how the crew working behind the scenes also keep pouring their hearts out about what they love about the show. And let's not forget how nice it is to watch Aof and his friends react to and analyse each episode, making it another highlight while waiting for the next Friday. To think that we have 5 more weeks of this to look forward makes me even happier! π
Okay so I just got to know that in the table scene where Pran stops his friends, the translation is wrong. Instead…
Oh! I just rewatched the episode and they've corrected the mistranslation! It's now: "Really, Pran? Your first love is now in a new relationship?" I'm glad they fixed it, and I hope they'll touch up the rest of the episodes as well here and there.
Bad Buddy YouTube cumulative episode views (combined total of all parts per episode)(Rounded to the nearest thousand)EP…
Nice, that's a really great retainment of views for the episodes released so far! Normally the drop off is much steeper. I like it! Also, lol at how episode 5 goes against the trend because so many viewers kept rewatching that final scene. π

While I'm grateful that GMMTV provide subtitles when the episode premiers nowadays, which means the translator works on a really tight schedule, I wish they'd at least correct the mistranslations and grammar afterwards. Or use an editor.
