When I saw the Bad Buddy initial teaser about a year ago and all the promotions by GMMTV when it was being released,…
I actually really loved the initial teaser trailer, but after watching the actual series I think it's miles better than the initial concept in every regard. π
One of the many things I'm loving about episode 6, now that I've had a week to sit with it, is how Pat and Pran not only came up with a way for the two of them to have a safe space for flirting (pretending to fake flirt as an excuse to flirt for real), it's also how in doing so they started taking back the power to decide for themselves what they want out of life.
And they also took back the whole competition thing that they love so much βΒ it's now become something they do for themselves because they love competing, instead of something they've had to do in order to make their parents behave. I've been rewatching this first half of the series and was reminded of how fun Pat and Pran had when they competed, like running up the stairs or fighting over food, and so on. There's a certain spark in Pran's eyes that was missing after his heartbreak in episode 4 and during the entire uncertainty in episode 5β6 when he still couldn't recognise or trust Pat's feelings for him. But once Pat told him that he and Ink wasn't a thing, that spark came back immediately. And it made me so happy to see his competitive mood back again! Sassy Pran is best Pran!
Of course we haven't seen the last of their awful parents and their stupid conflict and the way they continuously try to control their children's feelings for each other, but this was an important first step towards eventually confronting and hopefully solving the conflict in the future. Pat already sort of started the process of fighting back by going over to ring Pran's family's doorbell. And hopefully Pran will now be ready to fight for their love as well.
Aof wasnt director of 2gether, they brought him in for still 2gether to try to salvage the opportunity they squandered…
I haven't watched Still 2Gether so I can't comment on the quality of directing, but don't you think it's harder for a director to come into a property/project that you didn't direct from the start and then salvage it? I think that sounds like a hard work to do. If he'd written/directed the original series from the start, it would probably have looked very different from how it turned out, because he works differently than the original director, each have their own storytelling style.
I think it's better to judge someone's talent from projects that they have full or at least a lot of creative control over.
I've been thinking about this as well, but hopefully Ohm's experience with acting in BL allows him to advice Nanon…
Sorry, I just don't see it. I think you're reading too much into his comments. Some people just speak like that. I have watched several interviews and seen nothing that makes me think he's afraid of being seen as gay in any way. He seems very relaxed about it.
I'm watching their lives intervews, and I feel so bad after it , because every time I feel that the interviewer…
I've been thinking about this as well, but hopefully Ohm's experience with acting in BL allows him to advice Nanon how to handle such interviews. They appear to have good communication together which may help them talk things through, and Nanon has lots of older colleagues who've also been subject of intense shipping that he can talk to if he needs advice. But yeah, I really wish those journalists (or are they influencers?) could start actually asking the actors about their work, like talking to them about acting which is their actual job, instead of trying to sneak in insinuating questions.
I haven't really noticed that Ohm is trying to prove that he's straight when he answers. To me it seems that he just ignores the creepy part of those questions and tries to answer as if it was a normal question, if that makes sense? Though I might not have seen all the interviews, so maybe I missed something.
Last bit of observation on episode 6 before episode 7 airs. It's only to ensure you guys don't miss out on anything…
Aof and the three script writers working on BB have been really good at using this kind of queer subtext to create context for Pran and Pat's romance, while still showing their friends (especially Pran's) as ok with having a friend dating another guy. I'm sure we'll get some deeper conversations between their respective friend groups once the secret's out.
I really appreciate the time you took to write all of that π. I really enjoyed reading it!π€π€
A good story opens up for analysis! To me, it's a sign of good writing and good storytelling when I want to start to analyse all the details in a story.

That's such a good point! Aof and the script writers have been really clever throughout the story at using the Romeo & Juliet forbidden love subtext to highlight the still very much ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ people around the world, while still creating a story where being gay is more or less normalised.
i see a lot of comments praising ohm as a bl actor. this is the first bl i've watched with him in it. what are…
As others have mentioned, He's Coming To Me is really good! Ohm carries that drama singlehandedly (while Singto mostly just stands around looking cute, sorry to all Singto fans but it's true...). Absolutely worth your time!
As audience, we have the privilege of seeing everything unfolding before us, every charactersβ actions, words…
Exactly this. I think sometimes the audience forget that each character has different insight in the story, and often only the audience have full overview to what's happening. Sometimes the audience only gets part of the story on purpose, to confuse us.
Wai acting like he did in this episode is completely logical story wise based on what he knows and how he feels, like you pointed out perfectly in your post. I'm looking forward to see what he does in the upcoming episodes.
