I really needed the part when yoh graduates and moves in, and when they do it for the first time.
me too! like how did we get here, I want to see all the development. It would have made us understand their dynamic on a way deeper level plus I just love seeing how people get together. I live for the angst haha
Okay but for real, I got to ep 7 and haven't watched the newer eps yet since I like binging them in bulk, but say what you will.. I will never ever ever want to see my friend again if my friend started dating someone who beat me, put my concert tickets in my mouth and watched as someone else put it on fire WHILST STILL IN MY MOUTH. Omg diabolical xD Good thing this isn't real life, cause omg wtf has to be wrong with you to be like 'yep, kinda into that tho' xD I love how he also had a complete personality change, like everyone wasn't scared of him in the beginning because he is a massive bully who would force you to expose yourself in front of others and kiss your friend for shits and giggles. Like the writers were like; uno reverse bitch, we like him now xD
My notes on this show: - I missed that they didn't really show us how things evolved from moving in to being intimate for the first time. I would have liked to see how we even ended up like this, because I wasn't clear on whether this was part of the deal or whether they just kinda did it one day and never stopped - I also am a little disappointed that we basically ended the show pretty much with no progress from where we started. Since we started at a point where they already had intimate relations the only progression could have been a love confession and perhaps making their relationship official. Even a silent knowing that they now understand they love each other and are definitely to some capacity in a relationship would have worked for me. Which didn't happen... Perhaps as a set up for a 2nd season? no one even ended up clarifying to Mizuki who the guy with the glasses was. - Mizuki, though the most toxic one of the two, made the most effort? Like he tried telling Yoh more than once that he likes him. Not to mention he was always the one taking the initiative. He approached Yoh back in their school days, ends up inviting him to live with him, seemingly is the one that initiated a sexual relationship, is the one getting jealous and pro-active about wanting to get some level of monogamy with Yoh (like i said, though toxic. Although in his defense, he did take back his words every time he outright said that Yoh was his and tried to exchange sex as a reward for him being with Mizuki) - I saw someone say that Yoh didn't seem to like their dynamic and whilst he surely has a complex he most definitely wanted to be with Mizuki, just to clarify that. He was actively upset that there were no sunny days and bought extra sheets, plus asked Mizuki to stay when he was about to run a bath so Yoh wouldn't get sick. Besides that it doesn't look like he was ever forced to stay. Mizuki offered housing and financial support and Yoh took him up on that. Though the most we got out of him was an 'I might like you'
All in all I enjoyed the show. It was an easy watch, but I wasn't over the moon about it. Just something to binge on a Sunday when you relax after doing house chores. At least that's what I did and it does feel like that was exactly the kinda vibe of this show.
I’m on ep 8 and I’m vegetarian so I definitely didn’t like her doing that. In general FL is super inconsiderate…
Yaay a fellow veggie! I did see people say she got better, I honestly didn't mind watching until she improved herself but that kinda took me by surprise. I did skip forward to see how she would make amends or that they would say it wasn't his duck but a different one like some misunderstanding. The fact that she had seen the duck around his house and it had a little bed insinuating that it was his pet made me think of how I would react if someone was hungry and ended up eating my cats or chickens instead of just going to the store. Only to be like 'yeah oops, my bad here is a new one though :)' I'd be lost for words. But if you can overlook it, hopefully the rest of the show is enjoyable for you, I did like the ML so far. The level of patience he has damnnn green flag all the way
Don't think I'll continue this, the whole killing his duck because she felt hungry was a lot. I could never look someone in the eye after that... how do you reconcile after that? (It's not even like they are in the wild either, she could have gotten food from the villagers or drove to town) Sure she was inconsiderate before, she has a habit of using other peoples things without asking and seems to feel entitled to him simply because she doesn't see his desires as important compared to her need to get this deal. But that went too far, who the fuck does that?
Guess we're not gonna bring up that he jumped off the rooftop? lol why was it even in there.. The only reason the ending didn't work for me was because we never saw Khao and Kim have a vibe. Apart from when Pluem is in his body. But then again i knew it was probably heading that way, so it felt like a natural conclusion
How she came to conclusion on her own that the girl he came with at airport was his girlfriend lol it was seriously…
Well she was told he had a girlfriend right before she went there and she only went there to confirm it for herself (which means that was the only thought on her mind anyway at the time). She never had seen him interact with another girl/woman either, so for him to bring a female with him to a situation that you could conclude counts as a family matter, you would assume that he to some extent is somewhat close enough with her to bring her along. So from her perspective, it kinda makes sense to jump to that conclusion. Usually i do think people tend to be quick to misunderstand things in shows, but this time it honestly isn't far fetched.
The timeline has to cover more time than we see, because Ae wasn't even pregnant when Pat began his job & she's…
No because I literally was like : that's a 3-5 month old baby. She was just as big as my nephew is right now and he just turned 5 months. So I'm happy to see someone else guessing the same age. As for the pregnancy, it's probably the hardest thing to guess since she could have essentially been pregnant for a month before finding out but who even knows at this point... I was even ready to say that this was just a twilight bella swan 2.0 with how quick the baby was born in that bus xD She even said it was over 30 weeks, but how much longer than 30 weeks babes? Cause 30 weeks is really premature... But with those variables they give themselves a couple months of wiggle room. - . - I binged this in one day and I still feel like I ended up with gaps in my memory from how long everything is supposed to be.
I need to know what is up with the writers and timelines because if you do the math Jaab and Jane have been non talking for a year at the wedding. Which presumably also means that Jeng has had feelings for Pat for at least nearly a year if not longer let's be honest. Their relationship I'm estimating up till ep 10 has been at least a few months, I'll give it a generous 3 months no more than that. BUT if you do that kind of math Pat had been angry at Jeng for at least a few months as well, yet them not talking feels like a few weeks tops. Now the big question is how long was Pat with Put... because that will determine how long Pat most likely avoided Jeng. Also after reading spoilers, the timelines are just going to continue being wack xD My head hurts... anyone figured it out yet? Oh well, good thing that the weather/seasons in Thailand are the same all year round
But I don't understand why phatt let his ex kiss him when he already likes Tai
At this point I just think he doesn't like confrontation. Which is why he doesn't reject her outright at his job when he already knew he wanted to pursue Tai (or at least was sure about breaking up), why he doesn't tell Tai about them drunk kissing, why he didn't pull away and waited for her to stop kissing him first, why he doesn't explain himself to Tai when Tai brings up feeling insecure about Phatt and his ex after he saw them kiss... His heart seems to be in the right place? But even nice people can be shitty partners. I haven't seen today's episode yet though so I don't know if more is brought up.
I took that as Phatt meaning he wasn't mad at Tai for wandering off. Which IMO Phatt had a right to be mad about…
Hmm what you said about Tai holding back sounds plausible, god knows a lot of us have had moments like that before whether it be with a person or any other desire in life. Now that you mention it, I think Phatt saying he loves him regardless is probably going to come up later after the whole Lomfon thing is about to go down. I can already tell that knowing there is another 'connection' will mess everything up that they believe to be true about soulmates. irl though you would have multiple soulmates, most of them friends/family or the occasional stranger that unknowingly helps you further on your path. It would be nice to see that being one of the conclusions, since it would lift all that heavy expectation off of everyone's shoulders and realize that relationships are what you make of them, soulmate or not.
I took that as Phatt meaning he wasn't mad at Tai for wandering off. Which IMO Phatt had a right to be mad about…
Yeah I can see that now, I didn't even think about the fact he just bolted up a dangerous mountain leaving everyone to worry because of the way I interpreted that convo. Even at this point I think if Phatt started showing growth in his communication it could make up for a lot things. So many people are awful at communicating so I don't think he is irredeemable. I think that might even be another point of frustration, since I do feel like he as a character really does love Tai, you just don't want to be careless with the one you love. (which oddly enough, I might be the only one in this but he seems more sincere than Tai in that aspect. Tai sometimes gives more the energy of infatuation, well they both kinda do since they don't really have conversations to get to know one another on screen. Phatt met Tai's dad before even knowing he had siblings and only heard about them through Tai's dad. But oh well, the whole soulmate thing does speed things up a lot. Kinda like skipping the important stuff, which I guess would make non verbal communication even harder. If you really know your person most of the time you can tell the intend behind their actions.) Tbh the waiting bit just reminded me of my own experiences. You can be together for years and still feel like you have to make up for it sometimes by doing the thing you mind least. I just hope that Tai genuinely understood Phatt, he looked happy enough when they were falling asleep... in a room lit brighter than a billboard sign... but I won't go there xD
I took that as Phatt meaning he wasn't mad at Tai for wandering off. Which IMO Phatt had a right to be mad about…
It was more so the context of the conversation that rubbed me the wrong way. I personally wouldn't be mad, just worried. But it was the fact that that was his reply when Tai opened up about his insecurities when it came down to Phatt and his ex kissing. Perhaps if they had written the dialogue differently it would have been less annoying when he uses that line to glaze over the concerns Tai just raised. It felt like either dialogue was missing in between or a way to lead the convo into a different direction since he never explained what happened. Which seems on brand, because Phatt has a habit of kind of leaving people wondering. He did the same by never clarifying to his ex that it was fully over when she came to his workplace. He never tells Tai about them making out when he was drunk. He just doesn't bring things up that would be important to others, when they deserve to hear those things from him. When Tai said he wasn't ready and asked if Phatt could wait he didn't even answer him. (I mean I think he was okay, but he really needed validation in that moment) Tai then offers to please him instead. Which felt kinda like he was trying to make up for it, even if they didn't mean to make it seem that way.
But yeah, if he had said something more like; this is what happened with my ex, but that's not a reason to put yourself in danger. Than I would give it a pass with ease. I just want him to own up to things, it makes it otherwise really one sided. It almost looked like a trauma response from Tai. Obviously it was a large trigger when Tai didn't even want to go to the mountain because of his parents. He still goes for Phatt and ends up seeing him kissing another person (from his pov). It felt less about the kiss and more about his issues with the whole soulmate bond and destiny. To prove your faith people do crazy things unfortunately.. he really needs to talk to someone about it though cause it is excessive in his case.
I take as he's too much of a gentlemen to literally push her away so stood there until she realized he was not…
Too much of a gentlemen to reject his ex , but too little of a gent to put up boundaries with her as form of respect towards his soulmate/current sort-of-partner. - She even came to his work to tell him she wanted him back and he just let that linger in the air. Never bothered to officially fully make it clear he didn't want that. I blacked out so might have missed it, but I don't recall him explaining the situation towards Tai either when he expressed his insecurities about it. The person you're dating shouldn't have more respect towards their ex than you when it comes down to something like this.
ngl the plottwist at the end of ep 8 is pretty good. I would genuinely like it if this was any other show. The last 2 eps really did my head in, the last episode broke me. And please for the love of god, just don't bother dating someone like Phatt. It's just a headache wrapped with your own plucked out heartstrings waiting for you to unpack it. The moment he said 'I'm not mad' I just blacked out... For Phatt? what are you not mad about? Come on, share with the class on why you would be eligible for having angie feelies. I'm sure everyone would love to know :)
He brought it over but it doesn't mean he made it or arranged itplus it wasn't the first time he received a note…
I had to watch it back to answer lol since it’s been 10 months. Anyway, in the beginning the guy seems to be the only one at the counter. Since the lady was busy somewhere else in the café and we don’t see if she went back to the counter to make the coffee. A valid assumption on the viewers part would be that the guy who took his order also made the coffee and afterwards we do see him bring it over. We don’t get to see when the woman goes back to the counter, just that she is back taking orders a little while later when our main lead looks over seemingly some time having passed since he got the note and put it on his laptop for inspo. I guess he didn’t overhear their conversation about the music otherwise it would be clear that the song was chosen by the guy. But since they were the only two at the café at the time of his order it would only leave him with one option as soon as the woman rejected him as well as that tbf they made him come across as the only stereotypical introvert. Which was on the check list. Unless you would assume that they have a stack of sticky notes ready for whenever he comes and there is some kind of pact to give him those notes no matter who serves him. But the fact that he suspected the person (the second woman) that wasn’t even there when his order was placed was a reach. I personally wouldn’t come to that conclusion. If he did overhear the conversation, he would have heard that the guy was more poetic about the beach when the other woman found it too cheesy. But all in all, when he thinks back on who it could be in the end, you even see him put one and one together by thinking back on all those events. Meaning that in the end, the guy really was the only one at the counter when his order was made. He did notice that the guy was there when they switched songs and he was talking about liking the beach. It really is in that moment that all his prior assumptions about the women make a lot less sense and in the end the guy really was the only option from the start. Whether he had gotten notes from other people before is something we never get to see, nor does the main lead mention it so idk about that. That could have still been possible, yet by default unless the sticky notes were already pre-made (which they also never mention or show) there were only 2 people that could have written it at the time of his order. It's in the detailing that they didn't show whether or not the woman went back to the counter when his order was made that could have changed the scenario and made it more plausible for him to be confused.
I watched it when it was airing and was one of the few that actually liked the show. The bad ratings were from people that had a specific idea in mind after the 0 episode. The synopsis on here was also different back then. It made it sound like there was this whole secret affair plot where Dao was trying to win over Nine. It unfortunately happens a lot when shows have a prologue episode before the actual show is filmed, edited and ready to air. It gets a lot of people hyped up, they idealize it and turn it into whatever they think it should be. Then when it finally airs and it is different, not bad just different, they will start this hate hype. It was brutal coming back every week to chitchat in the comments and seeing all the hate watchers as someone who wanted to enjoy the show with others that liked it as well.. Compared with so many other shows, this one is far from being the worst imo
Honestly, I just went with the 'ahh I guess he doesn't want to leave his finger prints anywhere' It's still a…
See that was the first thing that I suspected from the beginning. That his hands would be recognizable, but I dismissed it when he woke up in Ken's bed and wasn't trying to hide his hands or freak out over his hands being visible. It was too much of an inconsistency from that point on that I switched theory's at that point I think and even though it's overkill it is less of a plothole that way xD Plotholes annoy me too much so I always try to fix them myself with different theories that could technically work even if it wasn't the original intention. Otherwise a lot of shows become unbearable to watch.. Leaving fingerprints as a dead man sounds a lot more dangerous than wearing gloves 24/7 just in case someone might look at your hands for a second too long and notice a scar even when Ken is not around. As well as that their plastic surgery seems advanced enough to get rid of a scar, either that or a tattoo would work a lot better than wearing those gloves. So I'm not sure what they were going for, either way, it got a lot of people confused x.x
I love how he also had a complete personality change, like everyone wasn't scared of him in the beginning because he is a massive bully who would force you to expose yourself in front of others and kiss your friend for shits and giggles. Like the writers were like; uno reverse bitch, we like him now xD
