Oh totally, I always say that no matter what your story is about; if a person with absolutely no prior knowledge or common sense can't get it, it's poorly written. It's a writers job to make sure that everything is painfully obvious whilst simultaneously allowing the reader/ viewer the space to come to those conclusions themselves. Kinda like when you allow a kid to come up with the solution for their problems, but making sure all the things they would need are already there to be used. It will always be the hardest thing about writing, but when you master it everything you write will be so much better. I notice it a lot these days that shows tend to omit on giving us the tools and tell us to just 'figure it out'. Or give tools that only experienced people know how to use. I think as we grow up we forget that common sense is personal. My common sense is completely different than yours as we grew up differently, had different experiences and were taught different things. That's why I always tell people; explain it to me like I'm a kid. Just because I'm a grown up shouldn't mean that I know or understand everything. Giving that kind of grace without getting frustrated at others for not understanding our art is part of being an artist. I've seen shows where it was so obvious to me what had happened, yet I noticed someone else having a complete different idea one that sounded so weird and far fetched to me. It helped me honestly. To understand that even with those tools given, they are free to use them how they wish. Not everyone can hear the exact same sentence and understand it they way you intended for it to be and that's okay. It's kinda both difficult and beautiful that there are things you can only truly convey through writing, yet some things only make sense on screen. We try to marry those things into one but isn't that kind of like speaking in 2 different languages at once. The translation gets a little wonky and weird, but we settle with the thought 'I mean; they kinda get the gist of it, right?' Sorry for the tangent haha I'm not even sure where I was going with this, but I hope something in here made sense.
Honestly watching over a 100 bl's in the past year and a half and writing my thoughts about them has made me grow so much in my writing. So even though this wasn't as great as it could've been, it really did add value and maybe that can sometimes also be all that we need from our own art. What you said though does fit his character from what I remember, so who knows ;)

People don't really make sense tbh xD But I get what you're saying and agree the writers could have done so much better with this one in general. This show had many flaws hence why I offered my theory for those who left this show feeling confused. I prefer emotionally matured characters (or at least those that mature throughout the story) but irl people are kinda crappy from time to time too. My best answer I can give is that when anyone leaves without as much as a goodbye it's because they can't deal with the feeling of finality. Either because it never was supposed to be the last time or because that finality triggers something in them that they have yet to find closure for themselves. Ex) people who run away from confrontation, because of the emotions that it brings up. It's been too long since I watched this one to analyze why he left without a goodbye nor do I plan on rewatching this show. I kinda can imagine that it was a mix of both for him? He already gave up on one dream, but perhaps couldn't completely handle the idea that he had to leave everything all at once so he just ran away from it all. (ugh def known people like that) But I overall vote for more mature people in media too.

That this will finish airing in July feels illegal - . - I made the mistake watching this when 4 eps were out and now I'm just putting it on hold until the finale ep is out.

Okay so I was certain he was Din, but the entire time I was screaming '' The best plot twist right now would be if he was this complete other dude who obsessively took over Din's identity.'' It would be a mess, but it would also have me howling with laughter if they took it that far

Honestly, I just went with the 'ahh I guess he doesn't want to leave his finger prints anywhere' It's still a little overkill but made the gloves more bearable

Uhm I must have lost it cause I just binged this in 2 days (with the exception of the finale due to the comments here) but I enjoyed myself so much xD This show is so goofy imo. The writers must love the joker which made the villians silly especially when that one band started ramping up the music for the fight scene like this was an actual movie spoof more than anything XD Also loved my little psychic moment as a fellow psychic, though to be a wet towel that's unfortunately not how it usually works haha ehh what else? Ken is both simultaneously in serious need of people not holding him on such a short leash, yet I completely understand cause this guy will get himself killed one day if he keeps it up. Tbh I wasn't really confused at all? I saw a lot of people comment about how confusing it was, but aside from some obvious plotholes I didn't feel the same way. To me most of it was pretty clear, but then again I usually don't care to look too deeply into mysteries as I find solving them the most boring part so you can tell me anything and I'll just sit there like: ''Yep, sounds about alright.'' What can I say, I'm simple like that lol. Oh yeah, the synopsis is wrong, but honestly that's with every show at this point. Ken doesn't suspect a thing at all so there is that. But yeah, I'm happy I watched this show, I had fun and omg am I happy I waited a while since I could literally not stop watching once I started. This one was really addictive for some reason, though I can tell I'm in the minority on that one, which is okay xD Those were my thoughts!

Sidenote: Am I the only one that just assumed he wore gloves to not leave finger prints.. cause you know, he kinda dead? I thought it was excessive yes, but in my mind that made sense. Guess another '' Yep, checks out'' moment lol ^ ~^''

Oh also! Did anyone else notice that Lue's phone said 13:57 as in PM when they were at the bar drinking whiskey in either ep 8 or 9 idk. It was such a rooky mistake since all the other scenes are clearly meant to be at night that I just thought it was funny. All in all I laughed quite a bit during this show, though I'm not sure if it was meant to be comedic or not @.@

I don't even think it occurred to them that he remembered it. The reacted as though he randomly heard the name or saw it somewhere. Doesn't seem like anyone noticed his memories returning. But then again I'm confused by the whole show xD

I enjoyed this one. I usually am so so about Japanese bl's but this one was a nice and easy watch for me. I watched it in one go and personally found myself relating somewhat to their relationship. With the way things went the ending felt natural, I don't really know what else to say xD
I usually have some critics to write but I don't think I can come up with any this time. Not groundbreaking but definitely hits a good mark on all fronts as someone who watches shows from a writer's pov :)

I binged it just now and I'm happy I waited. This definitely needed to be watched in one go to keep the flow (especially since the last ep took a lot longer to air than the usual schedule). Some people didn't seem to like the ending, but it felt kinda natural to me since a lot of irl couples would be the same. Nothing fundamentally changed about them, but they aired their hearts and got a newfound appreciation for each other which is the true glue to any relationship. They'll probably bump into the same problems, but they'll hopefully be able to open up and resolve it together this time since they have more reason to do so this time around.

Somehow this show succeeded into making the nice guy simultaneously the worst guy, in general. I wouldn't want Fang Lie as a friend or as a partner, perhaps not even as a brother?
Now maybe this is a super unpopular opinion or a bold statement to make but this is my reason why. While Fan Leng is incompetent dealing with love, Fang Lie is incompetent dealing with life. This guy is so determined to make everybody happy, that he refuses to acknowledge pretty important things in life. When his brother starts 'fake' dating our FL, he can't possibly allow his own crush to know that her crush has someone else. He straight up lies and pretends, just to keep her from getting hurt. We see him do the exact same when the roles are reversed and Fang lie's crush suddenly makes a public announcement that she is dating his brother. Trying everything to keep the FL from seeing the interview, even though both scenario's were just a matter of time before the truth had to come out. His mom sets fire to the gallery and nearly kills the FL? Let's just forgive and forget. His crush puts the FL on blast online for stealing? let's just helps cover up that she was behind it. (or so he thinks he did) Even when she ends up blatantly targeting our FL he just brushes over it and refuses to acknowledge any of it until one day his feelings for her are gone. And that only happened because he now has feelings for our FL??? The same girl that he swore was the only person that made him feel so important and cared for, because she would run to safe him in a burning building and yet even after that he still covers for everyone that could have potentially hurt her??? And the second he has feelings for her he pretty much demands his brother to stand down and allow him to have a shot with her, because he thinks he would be better to her.... I don't think he does these things because he is a bad person. He simply is such a 'nice' guy that he just can't handle real life sh*t... When things are tough you need someone who can face it head on with you. Not someone that likes to pretend like all is good in the world. He wants to keep everyone happy at the detriment of allowing people to just live a full life. Learning and dealing with the consequences of their own actions or by delaying bad news for as long as he can to keep them oblivious which inevitably just delays the time they need to heal from those things. He refuses to see that there can be negative things in the world and that's just how things are. Imagine being in a relationship where the other person is so incredibly avoidant that you can never grow and heal together, because they refuse to acknowledge that there is an issue. It's scary because you simply can't trust them to be honest and upfront with you either under the guise of 'not wanting to hurt you'. Chances are with someone like that, they won't let you know what's going on until it's too late to remedy it. It could start out as a small crack, but they will hide it until everything is so broken that not even the strongest glue can but it back together and fix it. Good or bad, I personally desire honesty above all else. At least you know what is going on inside their minds and you have autonomy in the situation. Lying to make you feel better, just takes your autonomy away to deal with it in your way.

And on a side note: He also is pretty lazy at his job. He agreed to work at the company but ends up video gaming all day and letting an unqualified person deal with his proposals. Idk just a little irritation of my own.

I'm on ep 19 right now. This show is entertaining, yet incredibly frustrating and nonsensical. It has a whole books worth of plotholes but if you can look past all of those irritations, it's kinda fun.

I did see some people love on Fang lie a lot, but imo I actually think he is worse than Fang Leng? (Who is definitely not a desirable love interest)

Also Fang Leng's dad is hilariously bad at picking women for himself and his son. Someone get this man some therapy ~ 0 . 0 ~

I am so sorry for your loss and that that's how people react to your boundary. Even if it doesn't make sense to them in the moment, if that's what you need than that in and of itself makes it completely valid. It sucks when a (categorized 'good') character drops the ball so hard that it can even trigger us as people with similar real life experiences.

Yeah.. I would probably be pressing charges to be honest, but Tony gets to keep his job that he voluntarily tries to quite after his actions smh
