And as a writer myself, I started commenting in these comment sections and writing reviews to see people's perspective and improve my own perspectives as well. Whilst I write various things, a few stories so happen to be about a male couples, so watching these bl's and understanding my own critique's and that of others have helped me become SO much better. But that's more of a personal side note, I doubt majority is here for the same reason haha

tbh it's probably the same reason why I binged hallmark movies a few years ago. It's less about the shows and more about the comfort zone you suddenly find yourself in. I started picking up bl's again when things were rough and now it's the only thing I watch since it's become a safe space. But funnily enough it has made it hard watching regular shows now. Almost like bl's and I have some weird trauma bonding going on. I can imagine a lot of people end up watching shows like this and finding them entertaining because it is so predictable. Hallmark movies are awful in their own way, but the predictability almost gives you a sense of being in control over what you experience and feel. Since you already now the drill from start to finish. I also happen to be a 24 year old that has always easily gotten sick and has had a bunch of chronic pains and diseases to deal with, getting sick from the rain is honestly an on going joke by now, but damn I do feel jealous when at least someone bothers to take care of them when I never had anyone take care of me. So from that perspective, though please do not wake me up with a wet cloth, I romanticize the idea of someone making me porridge and tucking me in. (though this one was particularly bad, I'm not even sure if it's finished or not)
Also, besides the point, you're 55?! I swear to god I thought you were in your 30s whenever I came across your comments :o
despite reading the novel it's didn't really register just HOW creepy pai actually is until i watched the series,…
I only just binged Sky and Pai's story yesterday, remembering the hype when ep 7 was out and people couldn't wait to start their story. Man oh man do I wish to know if it lived up to their expectations xD Nothing about their story so far pulled me in tbh, if anything I just ended up reminiscing about my horrible ex and spotted every red flag that Pai was proudly waving around. The creepiest part for me besides the obvious disregard for Sky's boundaries, was when he thought back on Sky's sad expression and wondered why he looked like that. In that scene as he is thinking back on that moment Pai is SMILING to himself ? Was that on purpose or did they mess that up whilst going over the storyboard. Cause that is no laughing matter sir. Don't smile because you can't get him out of your head, when the thing you are thinking on is him being genuinely distraught. But then again Sky somehow fell for all that (probably because he doesn't know what a healthy relationship is suppose to look like) and slowly starts to encourage the behavior. Using Pai's feelings for him to his advantage... so idk anymore XD it is what it is by now
I know there are people who don't like this series, or people who find it boring, BUT if you give the series your…
I don't mind something a bit slower, I already saw a comment that said the synopsis basically starts somewhere around 2/3 in, but I usually love character driving shows better anyway!
Okay this might be an unpopular opinion, but I like the 3rd story better than the 2nd one. Simply because it doesn't annoy the f out of me xD The whiplash of plot twists in that one still gives me a headache. BUT in all honesty, I do feel like the 3rd one is gonna be one of those forgettable shows where a week from now I won't be able to tell you much of anything about what actually happened. I'm not even sure I can retell it to you now and I just binged the first 4 episodes today. And not to sound like a broken record, but the first story is the only one I would happily rewatch
Wish we could rate the first story on it's own. The rest seems to ruin the entire score - . - but that is what you get when you decide to have a multistory show like this.. Wise lesson to anyone to just make standalone shows
Loved the first story, struggled through the last 2 episodes of the 2nd story. There's something off with the…
:/ I felt the same with the second one, sad to hear that they one had 1 good one so far. kinda seems like a fluke now lol I was rooting for this show but was already wary since you can't rate the stories individually. You need solid good and steady quality for a project like this
Yeah I hated the fact that he just outed akk and ayan infront of the whole school it didn’t make sense considering…
I am so grateful that Akk didn't take it as horribly as he could have, he was still so scared and simply not ready at that time. Thua never even bothered talking to Akk himself about everything either. Using Akk's relationship as ammo for his argument in front of everyone was such a low blow... For someone who preaches that he just wanted the truth to be out, he was quick to leave out the part where he was responsible for the curse too. SMH.. I wish the others weren't so forgiving when you can tell he would have done the same thing had he had the change to do it all over again.
Watch this as a slice of life rather than a dark fantasy and it changes your whole perspective. This show is about dealing with reality that sometimes becomes harder and scarier to face than any story, curse or conspiracy you can come up with.
Not bad but in the end nothing really happened. The trailer fooled us thinking it would be a cross between thriller…
Agreed, but it honestly turned it into a portrayal of life. People fuck up and do stupid things, a lot of us also need something that will allow us to shift the blame and deny the truth. Even if that comes as a mysterious curse or a conspiracy. You see it all over the world in both forms. People believing that whether it's by human hands or an energy we can't explain, there must be something more than what we see. Because sometimes it really sucks to admit that life can truly just be sad and bleak the way it is and that there genuinely isn't more to it.
Akk & Aye literally are one of my favorite couples. They felt so real and actually had an emotional connection which doesn't happen often in bl's! They ruined Thua for forever for me, he never regretted what he did and didn't apologize. I would have dumped his ass on the spot. I got soooo mad
Those were really good love scenes - very natural, with the awkwardness mixed with aggression. I thought that…
this is so unrelated but that first sentence killed me xD I haven't seen the show yet so reading that first line out of context made me burst laughing. My mind just read that in the most serious, posh voice as though you were critiquing some real ass adult movies with the utmost professionalism.
People automatically consider Japanese dramas too "weird" or "exaggerated" and dismiss them or rate them low. This…
I personally don't care for the over the top acting, but I grew up watching japanese shows and movies so I can see past it pretty easily. I think for me the only problem I seem to have is the lack of intimacy. I often find myself referring to japanese bl's as having a 1 kiss quota, that also often tends to be fulfilled prior to the characters even being together, causing their relationship to actual go backwards on a physical level. But besides that, it's kind of a cultural thing but even more apparent in a lot of the bl's I've seen from Japan, where the leads are so nervous to even be next to one another that their emotional intimacy also seems to stagnant and only reach 'you're cute' puppy love level, rather than a deep bond beyond that. (there are a few that do better on this luckily and I've yet to see the already aired episodes on this one) Which to me is worse than being goofy and weird in a way i might not understand. There are some other minor things that Japan tends to do, like the over use of a not properly communicating your feelings which causes the couple to always momentarily separate right towards the end before they have their happily ever after. which I've seen a lot of people complain about in the comments of a lot of Japanese bl's/ the goofy ones usually seem to have the most praise in the comments since you have at least some comedic relieve. Just looking at the last 20 comments on here I see everyone loving this so far tbh
