So happy to move a drama from my plan to watch to complete. This drama has been on PTW for probably a decade and a half. Its cast is something I'd have watched years ago, I'm not sure why I never did, maybe because the poster looks depressing. But being on Netflix made it easy to watch.
Anyway for a revenge drama, it's pretty wacky and silly in a fun way. I had no idea it was a Kudo Kankuro drama until I watched the first episode and realized (before even checking lol).
Story-wise, the way the story went required some suspension of disbelief, all the way to the end. Overall it's entertaining, with a sweet happy ending.
reading the comments here… am I the only one watching and enjoying the drama for the parents? They’re both hilarious but heartfelt. Their acting is great and comedic moments are spot on, especially Ji Jin Hee. Perfect at showing the loser part of his character. My favourite is Kim Jee Soo. She’s so lovely. I can understand the mom’s motivations and actions and is the character I’m rooting mostly for. Those two have distracted me from the acting of the actress playing the daughter. I mean she’s not too bad, but she’s getting better slowly. The character though is interesting. Her resentment is understandable, and I’m looking forward to the growth of the character. Her love interest’s family story seems pretty messy so kinda fits with the narrative haha.
Anyways this drama so far has been great entertainment :D
The beginning was interesting and something I can relate to, having lived the ups and downs and just want to instead live in peace. The way the prince was portrayed made it understandable she wanted to stay away. But half way through the drama everything that made the characters who they were gets thrown out the window.
Lol you accuse me of lacking a rebuttal while you skip that and attack me, but your attack is so dumb it made me laugh. I’m sure you don’t want any advice from me, but from 1 human to another, ease up on the hate. Have a good day
I don't know when I watched this drama, but I feel like I have experienced all of them, like depression, panic…
I think it’s not about the chemistry, it’s just not the goal here. Watching the drama, I didn’t care about who ending up with who, or even ending with no one, but I did care about the characters finding peace at least, and getting their daily dose of sunshine
I think I just started watching cause I felt like watching something with Tamaki Hiroshi. It was surprisingly engaging enough, and moving enough but didn’t surpass anything. A nice relaxing watch.
you are misleading and ignorant, how about learning the whole picture instead of picking parts. 1 of the 5 pillars of islam is zakat which is a tax paid by muslims. Since they shouldn’t impose their pillars on non-muslims, they have them pay a different type of tax. And again all this was done in the past. Nowadays it’s all standardized for the most part. And if we wanna talk about what people did and still do in the name of religion, no religion will be spared. The problem is with humans so quit it with spreading hate and being part of the problem. Be part of the solution and learn to open your mind and heart.
This came up on my Netflix account so I checked it out. Didn’t realize it was a Miike Movie. It’s definitely…
Maybe I just to not care enough about narcissistic psychopaths who catch feelings. The fact he still wanted to live without facing his crimes, or that he didn’t even try to do anything to stop his partner in crime, the only real psycho in the whole movie, means he didn’t change enough for me to care
This came up on my Netflix account so I checked it out. Didn’t realize it was a Miike Movie. It’s definitely mild and calm compared to his older work. I think it had a tight story but just not catchy nor engaging.
I'd give the actual cases 10/10, the main backstory case though predictable but engaging enough 6-7/10. I wouldn't have minded the time skip if it were done better.
I would have enjoyed it more if there were more cases than the protagonists'. If there is a 2d season I'll watch it.
I keep on hating the main backstory but it does give some consistency to the characters. I love the main trio and their relationship and would like to see more of that. Also, the prosecutor's character and his relationship with our main duo is cute.
KudoKan’s still got it! With such an open-ended finale, there has got to be a movie or sequel. There has to…
I wouldn’t call it open ended. We saw all the characters’ lives go on (fate unknown as it should be in life but full of possibilities) The last scene could either be for a possible 2nd season or (more likely) left to the viewer’s imagination but it doesn’t affect the drama narrative.
Haha during the first song I couldn’t enjoy it because I was trying to make sense of it the WHOLE TIME! But I got used to it later on
It’s still entertaining but weak in the weekly stories, much less realistic when it comes to the money making business. Demoting Kiriyama’s character to such a minor role hurt the drama since his competition with Nagase was entertaining and unpredictable.
This season I enjoyed Hanazawa’s competition with kamiki more than anything happening in the Tosaka agency. The problem here is their motivation. Ikaruga’s obsession with Tosaka got old quickly especially when his he has such weak reasoning for it. And as painful as Kamiki’s backstory is, it doesn’t make much sense as a motivator and the last episode didn’t give hin enough reason to change. He’s just mental.
I like Enomoto’s character only when she’s not being creepy and stalkerish… Her character had some upside during this reason but overall went downhill.

The main antagonist was so cartoonish haha.
