Well overall not so bad. Ji Bai made me think he's some sort of superman in the last couple of episodes. Also some scenes I'm got a hard time believing. And so many unanswered questions glossed over with a wedding, as if that is enough to make viewers forget about it. Well not for me!

One thing I appreciate in this drama is music used effectively. I especially like the piano soundtrack used in some scenes + the camera work + xu xu's comics.

Also Wang Kai looked naturally cool there. Not the most challenging roles for him but a good one for fans (my favourite of his performances is his role in the movie "A Murder Beside Yanhe River")

Review Long Vacation
I agree w/ everything you said ...Hard to believe you still found it enjoyable after all that ... Not enough depth,…
I think it's the 90s charm, where actors act like natural human being as opposed to today's robotic take on life. Also the music has to do with it lol + having to was Takenouchi being this charming was a plus :P That alone makes it worth the watch although there was more to watch and enjoy despite the weak writing. I think it's the actors, they felt comfortable and had chemistry.
Despite the theme of death and disappearance, this movie is about the celebration of life and human connection. I love the different shot and the camera work in the movie. I was confused though about certain scenes and events. Also my favourite scenes were those with "Tsutaya"

Thanks great article :D Although I thought Kimura Yoshino was the lead in Boku no Yabai Tsuma :S I wish the specials get subbed!

OMG GREAT :D oh man while watching the thought that went through my head is "I've got so much to watch!"

First off Fumo Chitai (& Shiroi Kyoto) + Long Vacation + Manatsu no Merry Christmas + With Love + Oba: The Last Samurai + Calmi (I've downloaded it a while ago but forgot to watch it :P)

You're so right he always gives me the same impression as Kaneshiro. I dream to see them in the same work together! The thing is even if there's a drama I don't like much (I was one of those who criticized Rondo) I never regret watching something of his since I get to see him :D

I really like those 3 characters their ideals are different yet they ended up fighting together at the end, guess…
Yea I felt the same, they represent people of all era, but especially of turbulent (times like these days). I'm actually glad I'm not the only one who saw it that way ;)

He could never win me over in Cunning Single Lady though. The leading girl was very clear in treating him like a younger brother, so later when he became clingy while she never gave him reason to, he really annoyed me. I think that's why I have a slight bias AGAINST him. The only other drama I saw him in is CitT, and I did like him there, but couldn't see his character with the lead. Also the commotion later did not help :P

Dropped @ ep 11

They bombard us from the beginning with POINTLESS fight scenes, and the story goes round and round, and I just don't care. This whole thing is to show off JCW, but it's not even trying to show off his acting abilities. I've seen him do better. And every episode they have to TELL US how good looking he is. I don't know I've seen shallow dramas, but this doesn't even have a story to tell.

Totally agree! Well I dropped at episode 11, and your review made me happy I did so. I have to agree with Yoo Jin's brother, his character really surprised me. But generally all talent was wasted here.
On Phantom Detective Nov 12, 2016
Great watch! I just never get tired of those types of "Noir-50s?-narrated by the hero" type of detective movie. It really felt like one of those detective movies of the wild west :D

ps. that ending scene, I wasn't too sure who I would've rooted for :P

Mostly enjoyed it thanks to Do Kyung Soo, his acting & the character he plays. He's a natural. Otherwise for such a short story it took me so long to finish lol. It felt draggy. It was too slow and we never actually saw them working on the movie or the outcome. I mean they only STARTED working on it by episode 5! Where they were at the beginning of episode 6 should've been at episode 2-3 at most. I don't get the exact aim of this short drama.

Anyways short and sweet, and good acting/genuine characters.
On The Lion Standing in the Wind Nov 8, 2016
So I wasn't wowed like many who commented, but it was still a good movie.

I did like the direction here, as we kinda start in the middle of the story, then move forward, then backward, then forward again. It sounds confusing but it's really not, it worked much better to tell the tale, and let us see how Koichiro's life unfolded. I also liked the focus and Maki Yoko's character. It felt like a parallel to that of Koichiro. Despite his job being harder and much more desperate, and I don't see her decisions were any less important, and definitely not any less selfless.

And somehow, it felt for me the message of the movie finally hit home at the end of it. It is that we live in one world, that we need to take care of all of it, it all belongs to us. At least that's what I felt. As opposed to "what goes around comes around" it felt more like "we are one" (something explored in the anime FMA:B). Anyways loved that message.

The acting, from Japanese and foreigners was great overall, no complaints there. Some of the English dialog could be considered cheesy at times, but overall it was fine.

My only problem, I guess, is that I couldn't understand Koichiro at all. Most of the film I felt, he probably wasn't the best man for the Job. He was way too emotional. Like what was he intending to do?

Well the lyrics of the song at the end (which are pretty important) managed to clarify a bit. It was actually very smart to have it end this way.

The dynamic of the main couple is so refreshing! I can't think of another drama couple they would remind…
Don't know about this one (yet) but second Gea's recommendation ;)
On So I Married an Anti-Fan Nov 5, 2016
Well a well edited movie does makes all the difference. Story wise nothing out of the ordinary, but quite a number of funny scenes, specially the handcuffs scene. 2nd leads were caricatures, lead girl was irritating the first half of the movie (she deserved to be fired, but the magazine itself is so unprofessional. What has become with the journalism industry?!?). She becomes much better the second half, but then things go the usual route, which is boring :P

Nice watch overall though
On The God of Risk Oct 21, 2016
Overall nice watch, but certainly should've been called "God of Crisis" instead. My only issue is, it didn't go the realistic/factual way, with all the invention of countries and companies, and while that would've been fine if it was more entertaining. It took itself too seriously trying to appear all realistic while it wasn't realistic in many ways.

why this drama has bad ratings oO crazy I gave it 10 I would love a second season or another story in this type
The drama isn't for all that's for sure. Romance make me sleep :P This one kept me on the edge of my seat the seat the whole time.

but it's what makes it good. Those people decent to the deepest of hell, how would they know love?
