I'm a really bad kdrama watcher :P I only watch Nine that I loved!! If I ever get the time, I might watch cruel city, maybe 2 weeks (thats if I really have nothing to do lol) but the rest doesn't appeal much to me. I've seen inuyasha (which is similar but better than gu family book) & all chilling romance.

Beyond relevant!! I can see that some newbie drama watchers or at least newbie to japanese dramas and movies might not know him since his last drama was in 2009 and he's been doing only movies the past 5 years but he's done many dramas and movies for over a decade and has won many awards. He's basically one of the top!! Eita used to play second lead to him. So yea he's someone awesome and very relevant ;)
I watched it for matsuda after watching him in Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi i didnt even know odagiri was there so it was a real delight to see him there :P
This movie was so informative for me about making of dictionaries so its pretty unique. However i guess it wasn't meant for me. It was too slow for my taste and i didnt feel its magic but i agree with the acting + matsuda got a well deserved award here.

I think its mainly because he's appearing in so many shows at the same time. Also some of the shows he's appearing in are mainstream so its given him popularity here. I've always liked him but never got into marathoning his show but now i'm motivated :P
hope nothing permanent. They should really do something about the live shoot. We'd have less accident if they decrease it. I know they keep it this close so that they can change the story at any time and increase their ratings but thats just the cause of all the nonsensical endings and putting their actors and staff in a dangerous position. I mean ratings will not be worth it if one of their actors gets a long-term injury and they'll have the WHOLE DRAMA CANCELED!!
On a positive note, that means it'll even out the episode and we won't find ourselves having the drama stretch out an extra episode to even it out (since we also only got 1 episode last week)
