I agree with the list concerning the shows i've seen (can't say much about those i haven't :P) But I gotta add Yoo Bang from History of the Salaryman!! also maybe Lee Tae Jo from Partner and the whole group from Shut Up Flower Boy Band (all 6)
Thats from what i've seen of korean since i mostly watch japanese :P

My drama buddy is my dongsaeng but she lives a long way away. We call and talk about dramas for hours. No one…
Same here!! People around me are INCONVERTIBLE!! I once got so excited when my 7 year old niece sat next to me watching a drama and started to ask me "whats going on?" everyone else in the family was worried.. having one weirdo "in their view" is enough :P

I haven't seen all those dramas so i can't really judge
I agree with "heartstring", i never though "secret garden" music was #1 but knew ppl liked it
there are others that i've seen that also have awesome music
"shut up! flower boy band" 1st comes to mind
The main songs of "To the beautiful you" and "gaksital" r my favorite right now!! There's also "History if the salaryman" that (in my view) has awesome songs there. "Nine tail fox" although i didn't like that drama I loved its main song, still listen to it now like i did the 1st time a few years ago:P "the Devil" also had a nice touching song. well really think its a matter of taste. music can sometimes influence us to like a show, or vice versa ;)

"a few people think "Gaksital" is just a hyped up drama which doesn't really deserve the #1 spot.…
So from what I am understanding... you didn't like Bridal Mask?? Because I loved it. If it isn't a matter of taste, and u hate it and I love it, then what does that mean??

I have to agree that taste is not everything. The script, the acting, the setting, the design, music, directing.... all have an effect on any show. But no matter how well people work on a show, how much money is spent, it'll be impossible for 100% of the people to like it. So taste still has an effect by the end of the day.

You forgot to mention Shunji's character!!! You're right about the Lead (KangTo) he was AMAZING. But this second…

Great article!!! I also think that Park Ki Woong deserves a mention!!! He is an excellent actor. Although Joo…
I was really watching for both!! Joo Won is amazing for sure, but shunji's character under less capable actor would have made the show half as good as it is now!! I think Park Ki Woong stole the show just as much ;)
They totally gave me the feeling of "Kira vs L" (from deathnote anime :P) so thats really something ;)

OK so I have to add to this that Park Ki Woong was freaking amazing. He made chills run down my spine when he…
Well his "friendly" character was soo boring that it didn't interest me at all, but his slow turn to the dark side was soo heart breaking and scary!! At that point I think the actor did such a terrific job!!!

You forgot to mention Shunji's character!!! You're right about the Lead (KangTo) he was AMAZING. But this second lead (Shunji) was JUST AS AMAZING!! Loved their Running after each other outsmarting each other!! For once, both evil & good are smart!! which makes it so much fun!!!
The lead actress & character (Rie) was just as interesting.. only wish she had more screen time :( (I only got to episode 24 till now and got to the point of afraid of watching what has happened BUT also GOTTA SEE IT since its the ONLY thing I THINK ABOUT ALL THE TIME!!!)
For me Oh Mok Dan is a "necessary" boring character :P but the actress didn't do such a great job either... I was actually more excited about the growing relationship between her dad the lead (father figure) But I love what her character does to the rest of the lead especially shunji when he wants to possess her, and Rie when u feel her envy

My first dramas were "when spring comes" and "Hello my Lady" both of which aren't famous or anything, but there were on the KBS World channel that me and my family "accidentally" got when we got the arabic satellite. Then when I missed a last episode of some drama, I started looking it up on the internet.. Thats when I got introduced to also Japanese & Taiwanese dramas :D I gave up Taiwanese after a while but come back to it sometimes, then I switch back and forth between Korean and Japanese ones (Among other things I watch Anime + British + Arabic + American/Canadian) depending on my mood. Gotta say it kinda changed my life :P (I see it in a good way others see it in a bad way)
Your experience is very similar to mine. When you first get introduced to this world, anything would do for you to get to know that world more, then you become more picky, but enjoying it all the same ;)

Title Bridal Mask
I've never seen a drama with more than 25 episodes. I am not sure if 28 hours of my life would be worth it or…
I've never watched an asian drama for more than 20 episodes... except "History of the Salaryman" which I felt cheated when it was extended so I never planned to watch this show but I promised a friend I'd try the first episode &... got so addicted that 22 episodes went by without me feeling it :P its both hard to watch and addicting at the same time ;)

This was one of the most amazing movies ever!! Tragic and sad, but captivating! Colourful! I dunno what to say to convince people to watch it!! Its really a movie that will be appreciated by all kinds of viewers

Does a romance develop between the leads?
Nope not really but their relationship was never the type that would lead to romance. I still loved its really special
