I really appreciate the way classic literary works are incorporated into the story like an 'allusion'.
Earlier it was 'whuthering heights' wherein Pei Su's abusive father was compared to Heathcliff, showcasing his cruelty towards his wife and child.
Since the last few episodes we have been seeing the book 'Macbeth' on Luo Wei Zhao's desk...I wonder who Macbeth is in this story? who killed the righteous king and thereafter committed innumerable dark deeds to hold onto the power but was unable to do.
Is Pei Su the rightful inheritor of the crown like Malcom?
Loving the developing romantic relationship between Pei Su and Luo Wei Zhao....Both need someone they can implicitly trust, a person who can be their safe zone..last few episodes really brought home the point that even when stakes are high and doubt enters their relationship, they will always have eachother's back.
I feel he rejected her because (written in the spoiler tag below)
I feel that Yi Tan thinks that even if he dies when they go beyond the boundary to fight the black fox, he would ensure that he would keep Zui alive somehow.
That's why when Zui said if he would stay as devoted to her if she married someone else, he gives the answer in affirmative...Yi Tan wants her to live a long life....when Zui says that he must live a long life as well because she wouldn't leave his side in this life, he was unhappy with that answer.
The show may reveal his intentions a little later but it would have been better if atleast the audience would have been made privy to his inner thoughts.
Yeshh the chemistry between wangquan zui and yang yitan is really fire! The way they portray the emotions it’s…
I feel in the Fox Spirit Series, if people read some background information beforehand they might find the series more engaging, story becomes more rounded with the prior understanding of the world and conflict between the humans and demons... Not saying that one cannot enjoy the series without reading any source material.
Liu Shi shi has a wide range in her expressions...her eyes can radiate kindness, love and benevolence or can be sly and calculating.
Zui is bubbly and effervescent, her presence lighten the otherwise tense situation without making it seems over the top comedic attempt.
Both of them won’t make it out alive based on the original storyðŸ˜
Wish the series may change it.... but Wangquan Zui and Yang Yi Tan's stories portray the innocence of first love so well. This role of wu xuanyi reminds me of her first series, the Douluo Continent..
In Both of the series she played a role of a caring but fearless warrior.
Loving Wangquan Zui and Yang Yi Tan, episodes 11 and 12 were very sweet even though their scenes were short. Their budding love story is like a breath of fresh air amongst other bitter-sweet love stories going on in the series.
Dongfang Huai Zhu and Wangquan Hong Ye's story is also becoming quite interesting with the Sky City arc. When there was a short flashback scene to the earlier episode and the protagonists were watching the sunset together, Liu Shi Shi's change to demonic form in present episode was so obvious...her mannerism and movements has changed since she has been given a demonic aura.
Overall I am loving the series...I feel the story is fast paced and doesn't drag..all short stories woven in the bigger arc keep the series from being draggy and boring.
Wu Xuanyi's drama, Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love in Pavilion (Fox Spirit Matchmaker 2) is scheduled to air on IQIYI from 28th April, 2025.
Wu Xuanyi plays the character of Wangquan Zui, the younger sister of (the ML) Wangquan Hong Ye (Wangquan Baye) and a member of the Masked Daoists, having the power of hypnosis and specialized in telekinesis spells.
1. Du Yang Xi is already a little jealous with the way he thinks Shou Hua is taking care of Sang Yan Rang while…
True all husbands are the text book definition of henpecked🤣🤣🤣...but somehow Liang Han is the most obvious when he has something to hide, so gets gets caught easily by Fu Hui who is always suspicious of some underhanded scheme of her husband.
Am seated for this one... premise of the show is a little quirky, seems like it would be a fun watch.

I feel someone or something will knock some sense into his sooner.
Let's hope the script writers do not drag this till the bitter end.

A gentleman cannot go into kitchen as he has other important duties.
(after knowing Huai Zhu loves eating) To:
A gentleman should be good at cooking.ðŸ¤

A pleasure to read your posts.
I always know, I would meet you on Wu Xuanyi's drama page.
One thing that is common for us both.

Her given name 'zui' means drunk.
