FYI, Rong Yu is definitely a worthy partner because many suitors would pluck roses for their beloved but very few would stitch a comfortable sanitary pad themselves for their girl 🫶 (episode 1)..... He is very considerate and compassionate although he is quite restrained in revealing his true feelings.

I think this will be on the lighter side not dealing with many serious topics... At least in the beginning focus would be more on romantic plot, maybe later in the series they could introduce some profound issues.
Watched episode 1...This is the first time, I am watching any series of the FL but based on previous comments actress seems to be quite popular. The character she plays of He Jiu Ling suits her personality... Jiu Ling seems to be a much loved and pampered member of her family, indulged in all aspects by her father and brothers. She is also quite fearless even though lacks proper combative skills.....I presume as the series progresses she will mature and become more serious in her demeanor.
I have seen some dramas of ML, Wang You Shuo... He is best at playing gentle and considerate protagonist. The character of Rong Yu is right up the actor's alley.
The first episode did manage to convey the basic personalites of ML and FL, it highlighted how very different they were from each other as far as their nature is concerned but both united for the common goal of helping people... It will be interesting to watch how both bridge the gap of their clashing temperament.
I just hope, Mango's subtitles remain comprehensible throughout the series.

When this drama started, I had thought it would be an entertaining watch full of laughter, it did start quite loud and rowdy because all characters were still trying to find their place within the framework of the narrative... Middle few episodes that revealed all characters' background made the series turn more emotional, viewers could relate with their motivations and understand reason for their behaviour... Last few episodes were just about a loving caring family getting on with their lives shouldering all harships and enjoying moments of togetherness.
Cherry on top were other side characters like the vegetable vendor, the steward, Jing Rong's best friend, the swindler astrologer, cousin Hu Nana trying to marry the master etc. they brought with them their own brand of giggles and guffaws.
Exasperated reaction of the painter sketching their family portrait in episode 24 says everything about this family, they are lively, messy and boisterous.
First two episodes can be watched on Zhejiang STV official youtube channel... Eng Sub is not available but being a games show, it can still be a fun watch without subs.

Shen Wang Yuan manages to soften Ban Xia's attitude towards him at the end.
Felt sorry for Jin Rong, while in the beginning she was pursuing Young Lord Ning for wealth, she genuinely fell in love with him. Lord Ning rejected her as a future daughter in law based on her common background.. I felt sorry for her when she was sobbing her heart out at the end...

Yeah the make up incident was quite adoring. I even liked the fact Bu Ping soothingly told Ke Ling that it was ok to want to dress like a lady, he is proving to be a considerate brother in law for other Chun girls.

In a way it seems appropriate that Ban xia's love interest is introduced so late in the game because everyone else's love stories are almost on the way to domestic bliss so this new introduction is keeping audiences' interest intact.

Inspite of awful subs, I could still follow 90% of the story. I don't want to jinx it, but I hope subs improve in other episodes.
