I was wrong, they released only 2 episodes on day two for international viewers with eng subs... So maybe they will follow that release pattern in future.
This series is a mixture of humour and romance... I am enjoying watching it...I was accompanied by a friend when I was watching episode 3 who inquired what I was watching as I was smiling continuously... Yes, the humour is not new and has been presented in other serials often but it doesn't make it less funny.

But it turns out she is observant and realises that something is wrong with the old woman accompanying the child as they don't have familial resemblance... She follows them and uncovers child trafficking. 👍

3. To see who will be the bait, xing chen has a fight with jing bu ying.
4.jing bu ying discovers during their contest the FL doesn't have any internal force, she is useless.
5. Both the brothers keep the lack of internal force if FL a secret.
6. While fighting with the black clad warrior who was kidnapping another hero, xing chen inhales Poisonous powder thrown at her, which makes her hallucinate that jing bu ting is a donkey. 🤣🤣
7. Xing chen wants to ride the donkey the whole night. 😛
8. In the morning jing bu ting is in a dishevelled state, he asks her to take responsibility for him and give him a status.

So ML, ziyu became the sword wielder because his father and his older brother, the next in line of succession both died in a mysterious way.... Shang jue who should have become the sword weilder after the death of two people was conveniently out of the valley at the critical moment.
It is not clear how the father and elder brother died.
Even lady wuji seemed suspicious when she is reacalling the incidents of the night of assasination.
Was this the grand plan all along to make ziyu the next leader??
Wufeng seems to be blackmailing/ appointing girls from noble families as proved by the scapegoat zheng nanyi's identity who sacrificed herself to protect shangguan.
Just finished the first episode, it is quite longer compared to other series... I feel the plot is going to get more complicated and people with hidden motives will emerge... FL was given a warning in the very first episode, don't trust anyone, I think the viewers should also heed that warning.
Director of this drama is quite renowned, his projects always have an underlying darkness to them... He presents things quite beautifully, he weaves the narrative while presenting the characters... I agree with others who commented, this feels like a movie.
This drama and it's familial relationships reminds me of game of thrones, this has a very similar vibe to it.
Thank God it is weekend, I will not be able to keep up on weekdays with the dramas I am currently watching.
Oh!!! Iqiyi unexpectedly released this drama also..... So many dramas released at once by them.. I will watch this drama too, the director of this drama is quite good... And undoubtedly good cast .....

On international official website, they released 8 episodes with english subs for vips on the first day... And IF they follow the pattern of release in China, they will air another 16 episodes in the next 2 days with english sub on their official websites for vips.
The platform may do this for any number of reasons, but from a viewers point of view, I like to binge watch all episodes together if available instead of waiting half or full month to complete a series... So if the drama resonates with viewers, then releasing many episodes together may generate higher viewers.
It is always uncertain, which drama will perform well.. Everything depends on the acceptance and enthusiasm shown by viewers for that drama.

1.jing buting drew an egg in the second round of selection hoping to get disqualified, but it was interpreted as ' bold and powerful' so he was advanced to the final stage of selection. ( presumably the Fl's family is advancing a cripple to allow Mu binghe to win)
2.Jing buting deliberately falls down from his wheelchair and waves a white flag lying on the ground 🤣🤣in the final stage.
3. Jing buting wants to extort money from xingchen for helping her run, so he calculates the total including travelling expenses... When xingchen inquires why the travelling expense, he says 'didnt you ride my wheelchair? "
