I feel you. I usually try to stockpile EPs but I was so waiting for it since the 1st trailer that my willpower "lasted" till 2nd EP.

What I meant is that only Sand had any shown or implied interest in not only people of their same sex from MLs (and GL). I don't think there was anybody else who even showed bi interest (except "Freddie Mercury" and Atom).

To your CH list, I would add: "Healer and Killer". There were ~2 BL couples (spoiler: one is more one-sided). There were 2 FL that tried to get both guys from 1st couple (=ML1 & MC1). Let me tell you that ML1 was very clear (gave FL2's present - in front of FL2! - to MC1 😏) that he is not interested in FL2 (so she she had to go revenge route 🙄). MC1 was clearly ignoring FL1 feelings but with ML1 he was totally different (quite domestic, to be honest).

Have you seen Devil's Judge? How would you judge this one? On one hand MC had actual love interest (and he even eventually got browbeaten to say that he loves her) but when it comes to chemistry and actual actions - it was BL to me (his reactions after "death notification" was so vastly different). I really liked how MC was the glue of ML's family (niece and housekeeper were hilarious). I am not going to say a lot about FL2 (that was chasing ML) because he was clearly disgusted with her, so there was no chance for any romance there.

Try "What have you eaten yesterday?" (JP) - MLs are mostly in their 40+ and you see like everyday struggles (right now there is 2nd Season being released; it also has 2 movies - all on Gagaoolala).

"To My Star" (KR) is also quite mature.

TH: "Not Me" is mainly about the social issues so I would recommend it.
"Midnight Chicken" tried to be mature but 1st couple is meh for me - 2nd couple (one of the teenage boys is deaf for about 3 years at the start) is everyone's favorite and 3rd is played by First and Khao but barely shows them together (though their storylines are really good).
"Manner of Death" + "Triage" - criminal storyline.
"Laws of Attraction" - budget could be better (facepalm for explosion).
"To Sir with Love" - larkom set at the beginning of XX, I think.

In TW: "Be Loved in House", "Because of You", History 3 (but be aware that "Make our days count" has BE), "We Best Love".

If you are ok with BE and to cry a lot (+likable FL1 and FL3 at some point) then "Healer and Killer" is just great (ist's Chinese, so you know... censorship).

I haven't tried it yet, as I like to stockpile but it's soooo tempting!

I think only Sand fits this. No other ML showed interest in any girl as far as I remember.

I was wondering if I was the only one one not liking this very much - now I don't feel so alone 😉.
I haven't read the manga but the series was just so boring to me. It was just 5 EPs, max 25min/EP and I couldn't force myself to watch more than 1 EP at a time.
It's not my 1st JP BL, so it's not the "country specific" (I can never with some of JP hairdos 😂 - like in Seven Days: Monday Thursday/Friday Sunday) that made this BL just simply not my coup of tea. Even The 8.2 Second Rule had me more invested than this one. I think it's on the lower level of enjoyment than Zenra Meshi (Naked Dining).
They should really take notes from Our Dining Table or What Did You Eat Yesterday? or Kieta Hatsukoi on how to make the couples and story "work".

Side note: his s*x friend was a lot older, so it was creeping me out.

Dan was perhaps not necessary (as SandNick were there to show us that you cannot force your heart to feel certain way) but Boeing was IMO (not everything but a lot).
Boeing was the reason Sand had grudge with Top (and hence leaking of the recording). Being treated this way had to leave scars in Sand's heart, so his return was for closure for Sand. For Ray he was a warning that his "threesome tactic" can backfire. He showed that Top's previous partners were just to keep the trauma at bay. Messing with Mew was I think to absolve Top a bit from his past ("stealing" him from Sand) and present relationship with Boeing - like to show that Boeing wasn't just some innocent who was seduced by Top but was equally responsible. For Nick he was the last drop, something that led to Nick decide to choose himself. His encounter with Boston was also needed for Boston to stop pretending.
This doesn't mean that I wasn't frustrated by his presence a lot XD

I will admit to doing SandRay re-watch several times already.
I am hoping for S2 with them as established couple and no big drama (I read in some novel spoilers that they apparently adopted a child, so I would be down to family drama with them - including them being exhausted from taking care of a child). If S2 is to mess them up I am wholly against it!

They were both hilarious. Especailly the "follout": Nick whemently deneying hook up and both Mew and Ray getting inbetween the guys (let's face it - they were jealous) XD

Mine were Sand and Ray.

I have to disagree with you about Boston. He was clear with Atom but with Nick - not really. He was constantly getting his hopes up by "leveing up" his status (verbally and even going so far as for them to take picture together - something that Boston was stricktly against due to his father).
All that to say - Nick was right when he told Boston to stop pretending to be somebody else, as he is fine the way he is (just not right for Nick). And that is the whole truth - he doesn't have to change, settle down etc. He however has to be crystal clear about it the whole time with his patners.

For me the worst he did was the whole Top fiasco (I am not absolving Top from any blame here). Mew was his friend, he knew that Mew had feelings for the guy (they were aready dating at that point, I think) and still he went after him (and before that he tried to manipulate Ray to get inbetwen them). This shows how he values his friendships - as in: not at all. This was also shown in they way he "outed" Ray to Sand - it was done in deliberately cruel way (I know he was hurting because he was rejected but the way he took it out on Ray - and Sand "by stray bullet" - was just awful).
I don't know if he thought that since they were his friends they can forgive everythig but I hope he learned that while hook ups/partners come and go, a true frienship can last a lifetime and is worth care.
I was even wondering if nobody tought him "bro code": hands off of your friend's partners (a lot of them even go as far as exes being off limits as well).


This doen't mean I think he was the worst characted for me (they all had their darker sides and I just couldn't get myself to actually like or care about Top and Mew) - that tille is for Cheum and Atom. Protecting her bro when she thought he got SA was not done in the best way (she was more angry about her friend doing her bro than SA...) but once she got to learn the truth what did she do? Comforted her bro without any scolding! Fals accusations hurt the actual victims, so they lost a lot in my eyes after this "arc".

Unfortunately it is so 😒.
However they sometimes try to talk about different topics like in Not Me, Only Friends, Tale of 1000 Stars, Manner of Death/Triage and Moonlight Chicken (not the main couple but Liming+Heart and Alan+Gupta had interesting storylines; sadly the 3rd couple was basically left unexplored...), which I really enjoyed. KinnPorshe was also not bad.
I feel like we get at least 2 high quality BLs (I am not talking about production value because Not Me had smal budget but for me it was still better than Bad Buddy - I know it's an unpopular opinion 😒) out of Thailand/year recently, so let's hope the trend continues (I haven't watched Last Twilight yet but I have big hopes for that one... perhaps I should stockpile tissues 🤔).

I would say that some HIStory instalments were so-so. Similarly My Tooth Your Love and Plus & Minus.
However overall they have usually quite varied themes (not just string of engineering couples 😉).

👻 story at the end was sad and funny at the same time. Kenji is such a drama queen 😂 (personal story: I know this person who decided to buy used car - the old owner was not using it much and it was in great condition, not to mention that the price was quite attractive; the car was being sold by family member as the old owner died - mind you he didn't die in the car; colleague decided not to purche it because of the spouse who was feeling spooky to drive "dead man's car" o.O).

It's nice that they mentioned changes in law about partners but as Shiro said himself - it doesn't do all that much ☹️

How about spin off of them and ArronHank? Like visiting Japan...
I just loved Aaron as such a dufus and Hank being done with him (in EP03) 🤣
