Awesome, I do repeat it when I miss ML’s ‘drama queen/king’ antics.

This drama is really underrated

I was checking the reviews of 10 ratings and wonder if we watched the same thing, but I guess we don’t think the same and our standards differ.

You were stronger than me, I dropped it at episode 9 and just couldn’t continue, then I read about the feminism thing and FL getting more screen time.

First time watching a true story drama where the king fights for his love above all.

Very impressive how he explained the arranged marriage to nobles’ choice.

I highly recommend this drama

It’s a masterpiece, but only to those who don’t focus on romance only.

Here we get to see the early life of the empress and what Liao Dynasty has been fighting for.

In palace of devotion we get to see her in old age and you get to understand why she’s still holding on power and cruel.

So, I would recommend to watch this first, however, in Palace of Devotion she’s not the main story but supporting, also explain the fight between the two countries.
