Hey! Hope this answers your questions. š1. Way too many to count! š I absolutely love Republican-era mini…
Thanks, I was actually curious before watching the drama since I read different perspectives about the drama so far. I was just wondering, because in many that Iāve watched, Iāve never seen so much traffic, criticism and praise before on republican era drama, which made me curious about this one.
Also, many have Iāve watched have a considerable mature audience.
I didnāt want to assume hence asking questions.
Anyway, I will watch it as I prefer to decide for myself if itās worth it or not regardless of ratings and criticism or praise.
1. How many republican dramas you guys watched before this one? 2. How many of you are just watching for the leads? 3. If youāve more than three republican dramas before this one, please name them. 4. If youāve watched many before, what was your expectation for this one? And what different is it from the ones youāve watched before? 5. Are you watching for romance? 6. Are you watching for visuals? 7. Are you watching for the actual story? 8. Is this your first or second republican drama youāve watched? 9. Are republican dramas your favourite genre? 10. Have you watched more modern dramas than historical and republican dramas before?
1. About the flower field scene: they obviously couldn't burn a real flower field, so it was filmed with a green…
I like that your response is respectful and objective.
I donāt think s/he meant that they should have burnt real flowers, however, the emphasis was on it looking fake when it could be made to look real, like in other dramas.
The lighting and directing too. The settings look fake and is ruining my immersion. Doesn't give that old era…
Itās possible that they rushed the production before it was ready and intended to ride on the wave of the success of the leadsā recent shows. Because, tell me, why did they need AI and messed up all the technical work that makes the show?
I havenāt watched the drama, however your comment was the only one I found to be worth reading and finish it.…
They can actually mess up a novel those people, since a novel still needs screenwriting. They donāt usually list all of them here. For instance, Kill me Love me had about 11 writers (if I remember correctly) that messed it up but weāre not all listed.
may i know what are her dramas that you never finish? im genuinely curious
Speaking of Yang Zi, Iāve only finished one drama of hers, I feel like her dramas (historical ones) needs a certain mood to watch as they mostly very serious and have lessons to take.
may i know what are her dramas that you never finish? im genuinely curious
The dramas I dropped: Novoland, pearl eclipsed, Storm eye, Legend of fu Yao, the great craftsman, in the name of brother, the other one with her ex husband (forgot the name). The last one, is This thriving land, I enjoyed this one because of the other actors and especially ML and his father. Also the story. But 4 episodes away I dropped it. This was the first drama of hers I didnāt drop from the beginning.
Why do people get so triggered by criticism? Can understand if they really love the drama but you shouldnt be…

You are giving a technical review of the drama and it will go over the heads of the brainwashed romantic loving fans.
By the way, do you know how many writers wrote the script? I found that many Chinese dramas fail to synchronise the scripts and the directors too donāt harmonise it.
I suspect the use of AI is probably because of cost saving if they were trying a quick fix of a mess they realised they created after editing was done.
Iām not sure I will watch yet as I donāt like the use of AI too. I dropped the FLās other drama because they replaced one of the actorās face with AI. A shame really,

I tried a few of her dramas paired with favourite MLs, but even with them in I couldnāt finish because of her. I guess itās just one those things. I donāt dislike, but her acting doesnāt keep me interested enough to finish dramas with her.
As much as ML is simping hard, itās actually difficult to box him as a simp.
He reminds of the Joy of Life emperor and Chen Ping Ping.
He has both of their characters, Chen Ping Ping is very sweet and charismatic to those he loves but very ruthless to protect and to his cause. Heās cunning and manipulative, yet genuine.
The emperor is very mysterious and dangerous. One who cannot to controlled and knows everything. He loves his children and protective. Heās also playful when he wants to.
The character of ML embodies these other character traits and perfectly so.
I think this will be He Yuās most fun and memorable character heāll ever play and remember forever.
He upgraded the simps game. Many will learn from him after this.
Meng Zi Yi said they taught each other how to behave as this is a gender reverse role. She taught his how to be cute and pout, while he taught her how to be domineering.
She started it, heās just finishing it. People donāt want to be accountable for their actions in general.…
Also, donāt forget that he knows that she has feelings for him but her situation is complicating it, on the other hand heās reassuring her that, itās okay, he understands and wonāt implicate her.
I don't understand why people are hyping the 2nd couple. He's threatening her. It may not look like it, but that…
She started it, heās just finishing it.
People donāt want to be accountable for their actions in general.
Had she not used him and invaded his privacy, he wouldnāt have fallen in love with her.
Heās not threatening her but treating her according to her character, also, his presence will help her more than she knows later, to hide or lessen the consequences of her crime.
Also, many have Iāve watched have a considerable mature audience.

Sheās a great actressā¦. Hope she gets to lead some day.

Great teamwork from both actors.
