Thanks, I was actually curious before watching the drama since I read different perspectives about the drama so far. I was just wondering, because in many that I’ve watched, I’ve never seen so much traffic, criticism and praise before on republican era drama, which made me curious about this one.

Also, many have I’ve watched have a considerable mature audience.

I didn’t want to assume hence asking questions.

Anyway, I will watch it as I prefer to decide for myself if it’s worth it or not regardless of ratings and criticism or praise.

I don’t think s/he meant that they should have burnt real flowers, however, the emphasis was on it looking fake when it could be made to look real, like in other dramas.

It’s possible that they rushed the production before it was ready and intended to ride on the wave of the success of the leads’ recent shows. Because, tell me, why did they need AI and messed up all the technical work that makes the show?

They can actually mess up a novel those people, since a novel still needs screenwriting. They don’t usually list all of them here. For instance, Kill me Love me had about 11 writers (if I remember correctly) that messed it up but we’re not all listed.

Speaking of Yang Zi, I’ve only finished one drama of hers, I feel like her dramas (historical ones) needs a certain mood to watch as they mostly very serious and have lessons to take.

The dramas I dropped: Novoland, pearl eclipsed, Storm eye, Legend of fu Yao, the great craftsman, in the name of brother, the other one with her ex husband (forgot the name). The last one, is This thriving land, I enjoyed this one because of the other actors and especially ML and his father. Also the story. But 4 episodes away I dropped it. This was the first drama of hers I didn’t drop from the beginning.

I haven’t watched the drama, however your comment was the only one I found to be worth reading and finish it.

By the way, do you know how many writers wrote the script? I found that many Chinese dramas fail to synchronise the scripts and the directors too don’t harmonise it.

I suspect the use of AI is probably because of cost saving if they were trying a quick fix of a mess they realised they created after editing was done.

I’m not sure I will watch yet as I don’t like the use of AI too. I dropped the FL’s other drama because they replaced one of the actor’s face with AI. A shame really,

I can’t believe the actress playing Bu Shi Lin is the same actress who played the formidable Shangguan Jing in New Life Begins.

She’s a great actress…. Hope she gets to lead some day.

I tried a few of her dramas paired with favourite MLs, but even with them in I couldn’t finish because of her. I guess it’s just one those things. I don’t dislike, but her acting doesn’t keep me interested enough to finish dramas with her.

Zang Ling He’s style. He’s characters are always gray.

Last watched 19, I think I’ll wait for all.

As much as ML is simping hard, it’s actually difficult to box him as a simp.

He reminds of the Joy of Life emperor and Chen Ping Ping.

He has both of their characters, Chen Ping Ping is very sweet and charismatic to those he loves but very ruthless to protect and to his cause. He’s cunning and manipulative, yet genuine.

The emperor is very mysterious and dangerous. One who cannot to controlled and knows everything. He loves his children and protective. He’s also playful when he wants to.

The character of ML embodies these other character traits and perfectly so.

I think this will be He Yu’s most fun and memorable character he’ll ever play and remember forever.

He upgraded the simps game. Many will learn from him after this.

Meng Zi Yi said they taught each other how to behave as this is a gender reverse role. She taught his how to be cute and pout, while he taught her how to be domineering.

Great teamwork from both actors.

Also, don’t forget that he knows that she has feelings for him but her situation is complicating it, on the other hand he’s reassuring her that, it’s okay, he understands and won’t implicate her.

She started it, he’s just finishing it.

People don’t want to be accountable for their actions in general.

Had she not used him and invaded his privacy, he wouldn’t have fallen in love with her.

He’s not threatening her but treating her according to her character, also, his presence will help her more than she knows later, to hide or lessen the consequences of her crime.
