TBH, I am a little disappointed since they added two unnecessary tropes to create hijinks that are just silly IMO. It turned from sophisticated fun into a folly of cliches
1. Him lying about being the CEO. This is just silly because eventually she's going to find out and be mad that he lied about something that didn't really need to be lied about. Not only that, it requires her being stupid enough not to check the company's website. And it also requires none of the other employees who know the truth to correct her.
They should have just gone with her finding out the morning he was going to work and offered her a ride. That could have had its own humorous scenarios. Doing it this way allows her to make a fool of herself and makes him a bit cowardly.
2. Because he lied about being the CEO, now the FL thinks his sister is his ex. And now we have to watch them not say what needs to be said in order to clear up this misunderstanding.
Now, I just have to see how long they're going to drag out this silliness in this 24 short ep. series.
You know, if the emperor wasn't such a horndog, his harem wouldn't be as chaotic. He sleeps with damn near any woman who flatters him and bats her eyes, then is bombarded by treachery from his wives. he's blinded by because it's hidden behind a pretty face and a smile.
This is the kind of series where you don't just shut off your brain if you want to enjoy it even a little. You have to remove your brain and set it aside somewhere safe to protect it completely from this nonsense, then proceed.
This movie had three things I hate. 1. Annoying kids 2. Stupid time loops 3. Pretentiousness
I hate movies with time loops because most don't do them right where they can feel new and exciting each time like Edge of Tomorrow or Happy Death Day to me. This movie did it the way I hate. I was bored.
Yeah, this one isn't for me. I don't like unruly children and that's the main purpose of the child in this movie so that the mother can complete her programming of finding him.
While programming human emotions, she should have programmed human intelligence because my God, woman! How hard is it to keep up with one damn child! I thought Lori and Maggie were bad.
For me, this was boring and pretenscious, tries too hard to be profound. And I believed the low reviews are a result of the bait and switch where viewers thought they were getting a disaster film instead of a simulation. They could have still gone with the AI angle and keep it a disaster film of where does humanity go from here? But they didn't do that.
I'm taking off a whole point off my final review for the scene I had been waiting for being filmed in the dark. I felt robbed.
And the person who can't fight needs to shut up about how someone who can defends themselves. Another point deducted. I hate those morally superior characters.
Also, I'd be checking that rabbit the little girl loves so much. I bet there's a bomb in it. Also, ML's wife is the worst. She is just mean when she doesn't even need to be. I don't even see how they were attracted to each other by how she treats him and her daughter. That's why the little girl is closer to her dad.
and I don't trust that English speaking teacher one bit. she's highly suspect.
And both parents were stupid to continue to send their daughter to school during bomb threats and personal threats made like that's a safe place. She was already naive enough to take ice cream from a stranger that could have been poisoned and dad allowed her to continue to eat it.
There really have been some good ones lately. This is disappointing to hear but I’ll check it out with this…
Yeah, I'm going to watch it to see where it's going but my expectations are low. I'm on ep. 5 and it's like the writers are purposely avoiding the MC having an adult conversation to keep the "misunderstanding" going. I hate that. This results in having the ML act stupid and outrageous just to keep the "suspense" going.
It did deflate a little and that's because the villains haven't been dealt with, nor have their schemes caused…
Yep, I've seen that one and it is good. The ending to Reborn from Ashes was lazy for the most part. But they did it to explain the supernatural element in the series. I just finished watching Love and Strife. That was good.
First ep in and I see this series has one of those stupid FL that just accuses ppl without any real investigation. And of course the ML has to be stupidly devoted to tolerate all of the nonsense, betrayal and accusations long enough for the relationship to blossom from enemies to lovers.
I guess. It's just disappointing because the short C dramas lately have been moving in the right directions. This feels like a regression of FL intelligence.
It did deflate a little and that's because the villains haven't been dealt with, nor have their schemes caused…
Oh yeah, the FL leads in those series weren't playing around. I would add The Palace Gambit to that list as well.
This one isn't bad, I like the jealous stalker trope, but I prefer it when they either get what they want and it backfires or they get very close to it. Just being an annoyance for too long gets tiring. They had the SFL only attack her and fail. She should have blackmailed him more to be with her. If you're going to go that route.
It did deflate a little and that's because the villains haven't been dealt with, nor have their schemes caused…
It really didn't need to be 30 eps. It's just dragging the plot out. I dislike when they keep a villain alive just for that villain to continue to cause problems. And their excuse for not killing them off is always stupid. Like in this one she felt it would be "too easy". But aren't you supposed to be ruthlessly looking for revenge? Even if you didn't want to kill him then, she could have kept him prisoner and tortured him to death slowly. Why allow him to return to his life to cause more harm?
So, yeah she sure is taking her sweet apple pie cooking on the window ledge time.
Is it me or does the plot deflate a little from ep. 20-ish forward?
It did deflate a little and that's because the villains haven't been dealt with, nor have their schemes caused enough problems to justify their continued existence. The male villain should have been killed off sooner when she first had the chance. The female villain as well, unless she could escalate her plots without them always failing. That would have added a bit more tension and made her a bigger threat. Furthermore, there hasn't been a reveal of another villain that is bigger or badder yet by 23. So, at least for me, that's why it feels like it's slowed down.
I bet she wished she had just killed that guy when she had the chance when the ML brought him to her unconscious. But noooo, she had to find evidence and this and that and by refusing to get rid of a problem the easy way, more ppl suffered including her. This is what I meant when I said in an earlier post, some ppl want too much revenge.
I would have reminded them of the arrows that guy was shooting off as to why he protected the princess. So far, this is fun. I don't really blame the ML though. He's been keeping his priorities focused on surviving and getting the hell up out of that world. She has the luxury of not suffering the way he has.
He's been stabbed to death about 7 times, beaten to death once, imprisoned, exiled, poisoned, tortured, threatened every day practically. You're damn right he wants to leave and doesn't care about the other men in the world because for him, it's not his world anyway and once he's free, he'll be safe.
She on the other hand is trying to be a hero. I'd lean more towards MLs approach. Remove all the other men until the only one left standing is her guard. See what happens next.
I would have cut ol girl up if she had stepped to me with all of that attitude.
I would have been like "b**** don't you have a husband? WTF are you back here bothering us? What woman goes from being a servant to noblewoman back to servant willingly? Awww, that married life to your dream husband ain't what you wanted it to be, is it?"
I wouldn't care what the rules were, that baby cradle should have been in the same room with the Empress. Take care of your own child
absolutely agree with you but i feel like giving them an easy death is too nice. there lives should become living…
Then kidnap them, lock them up somewhere no one will find them and then torture them. If you really want to hurt them, kill their family first so they can watch knowing their legacy is over. Burn their homes down and let them know so that they know everything the loved and schemed so hard for is now ashes. Heck, before you burn the house down, if it's empty, you can search for documents if you want.
That's if you really want to serve that dish ice cold.

The Rebirth was good. Reborn from Ashes was entertaining, but weakened at the end. That's another one that should have had 24 ep.
Another good one is In the Name of Loyalty. That one features a smart FL who didn't just act without thinking.
