They let ppl mess with their heads too much for my taste. I would have said "First off, I only joined the family to save you from certain death. You're welcome. Secondly, I've been saving the members of this family ever since, not you. So, You have a lot of nerve to treat me this way and talk about honor and respect. I never married your son so, i don't have that obligation to him. I only used that title to save you, not to be bound by it forever."

On ep. 15 and loving it so far. But her revenge is blinding her to other possibilities. Like her head maid said, just because her sister had his pendent, doesn't make him the villain. She's not even taking into account his personality. Prince YI is closer to someone who would have assaulted her sister. and He's powerful enough for her to keep it a secret too. And how does she not know that maybe her sister had his charm because she had a crush on him and that's why she kept it. Or that he gave it to her in case of emergency for her to use it when she needed it.

She came to one conclusion and has stuck with it. Not even thinking about how her pursuit will her the Empress who protects her. This is the main flaw I see in her logic. Other than that, she's one tough and smart cookie.

Some ppl want too much revenge. 😂 In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if your family's name is cleared?

Just kill the bastards and enjoy knowing they no longer get to live either. Ppl be out here doing the most.

Spying in the dark risking exposure, looking for documents, and secret gold hidden in secret rooms. Marrying ppl just to get in their house, kneeling outside the palace for three days just to show the emperor the evidence, getting caned 30 times because you banged the drum looking for justice.

Forget all of that. Sneak into their homes, strangle them, make it look like a suicide if you want. Fake a suicide note that is a confession or force them to write it themselves, then kill them.
Bam, ya done getting your revenge. 😂

She isn't as annoying in this one as she was in that last series. And I think her character is actually smarter too. I enjoy the jealous woman antics of the SFL and her grudge deserves vengeance. So, I'm enjoying it.

I do want to see how it ends.

I can see where you're coming from. Me personally, I would never be in a relationship with someone who killed my fam. But in this fictional situation, I'm supposed to be convinced of their growing relationship since they are the main leads and the premise says they are work together to get her justice. And they are drenching it in his affection for her from that whole childhood past the way Cdramas love. 😂

So, I take that and think. Will she forgive him since he was following orders from the king based off information he was given?

Considering how easy she believed he set her up to be sold off based off some house servant's word, will she have leniency for him?

I think it was a mistake for the writers to have him be the one who killed her family and is now seeking the truth. They should have had it just him arresting her family and someone else could have killed them, which sparks his own investigation into who.

That almost sounds familiar. Yeah, a lot of writers rely on cheap and lazy tropes because they either don't want to be or are incapable of being more creative.

He might want to leave that sword in her chest. I hate when they make smart and strong FL weak and stupid.

Ugh, yes. And she has this facial expression when she's being cocky that makes her even more annoying. Yes, she is beautiful. I'm just not on her side entirely because as you know, like in the last drama Marry Him in Her Place, the ML is giving and giving and not getting anything in return, not even a bit of trust. Like what will he need to do to prove to her that he's on her side? End up with both of them falling off a cliff after he takes a poisoned arrow for her and is unconscious as he hangs on by a thread, only to vaguely hear her make her confessions and promises she won't keep about how she will love him and not use him if only he can survive? Will he have to do that?

Yeah, me too. I kept waiting for the story to fulfill the premise. The only thing she was good at was healing ppl, but when she continued to leave her medicine unattended and it was tampered with and she ended up nearly dying only for the ML to save her every time... I was so disappointed with it.

The Palace Gambit was much better.

It was bad. 😂

On ep. 7. I knew from Ep. 1 that one maid was going to die because she was too gullible to survive in that palace. Poor girl, she didn't deserve that. But I am really looking forward to the payback.

And Ming Yu is hella annoying and stay overstepping.

May I also suggest In the Name of Loyalty. It has a rational, cunning and kickass FL out for revenge. Great villain who was entertaining. Nice schemes.

Why did they make the the leads so gullible when it comes to Prince Han? It's like they gets dumber when dude is around.

She's lucky he loves her because a man who isn't so foolishly lovestruck would not appreciate constantly being punished for her actions and schemes. I dislike when the FL cruelly uses the ML, constantly taking and never giving. Using their feelings against them. I get it, you want revenge, but should that revenge come at the cost of ppls' kindness.

Thinking he sent the box with the knockout drug only shows that she's not as smart as she thinks she is. Why would he do that when he's been saving her the whole time? Also, if he wanted to get rid of her, he doesn't need anyone's permission, he can just kick her out.

She just believes anything a servant tells her? If that's the case, the. She should realize that if evidence was pointing to her family being guilty, then that's all the Governor had to go on since she experienced herself how easily it is for ppl to be falsely accused and how one can believe the accusations.

Funny thing playing the "seduction game". You better be prepared to go all of the way if you want to trap someone. You can't be rubbing all up on the guy like you know what you're doing. Trying to seduce him, and when he takes the bait, you turn into the Virgin Mary. Don't play adult games if you aren't ready for adult actions.

Better find another plan if you're aren't ready for that one.

These servants are the main trouble makers. They love to stoke jealousy and rage into these nobles. 😂 They'll be like:
"How dare she show up stealing his attention away from you, princess. You're better than her".

You took the words right out of my mouth. Like every Cdrama doesn't need that added bond of a childhood encounter where only 1 remembers the other because of a charm, pendent, scar, or in this case, her eyes.

Two ppl can just be strangers and fall in love without having previous ties. This is why I tend to fast forward past those childhood scenes. They keep flashing back to them too.

The way I would have snuck off in the middle of the night right after that first attack in Wulong. Dude stayed too long and they act like they forgot he was kidnapped in the first place.

And he was a fool for not telling his wife the truth about what happened in Wulong and the fake identity he used.. his excuse was stupid. "I didn't want you to worry". Sir... These ppl are threatening war looking for you and you think by hiding this pertinent info from your wife and the king was a bright idea.

It was a silly plot to begin with for me. Because just how was it supposed to work out from the beginning with her marrying her fake daughter into the family to gain a share in that company. Like the company wouldn't sue for breach of contract. Like they can't get a divorce? Like her real daughter wasn't going to show up and try to slip into her place undetected. Those two women weren't identical twins where so might me able to pull it off. That's why I took a break and just checked in here and there. So much stupid nonsense.
