What was the point of that whole faking death situation anyway?
Which is what I thought would happen. Honestly maybe the producer didn't want to see his character not knowing something. No he had to know everything and be the most oversuperpowered man for no reason other than ego. It was absolutely pointless in the series because because nothing came of it, hella frustrating
Novel spoiler ahead:In the novel Jeff calls an ambulance while Alan is pressing down on Way's wound and trying…
Now THAT'S something I can definitely see! I have nothing against characters dying, but it HAS to mean something. And Way's death felt so useless and like they could have saved him easily. There wasn't much blood and the fact that after everything they've set up Way said I love you to Babe AGAIN instead of saying it to Pete and apologising to Babe felt... So off and dumb. It could have been meaningful, but it was just unnecessary
So... They didn't even TRY to save Way's life? No calling an ambulance? No pressing a shirt against his wound to stop the bleeding? No trying to have him stay awake? Nothing?! That's so stupid, they didn't give a fuck at all
I really enjoy the way they take huge inspiration from the manga and the original, but still manage to put their own spin on things without it feeling cheap. Everything feels very natural and well paced. I can't wait for the next episode!
You have a lot to catch up on then with TayNew as they have been best friends since Uni days and have not changed…
Not really lol, at least for me personally. I did start Dark Blue Kiss, but wasn't really into their chemistry to be honest. Something about their interactions took me out of scenes multiple times. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. But loads of people did love it, so at the end it's personal taste.
I do like their chemistry here tho and was positively surprised, so I'm looking forward to future episodes.
I haven't seen any drama with this couple before, but I liked their chemistry. This is of course only the first episode so we'll see, but it was a solid start. They established the main's pretty well while not over explaining who they are and what they do.
The only I didn't like was the sound editing of Achi reading people's thoughts, but that's more of a personal thing ^^
delicious garbage the trashy acting, the comical piano music every time Kamol shows up, the insane water bill…
I have to say the comment section was the biggest factor which kept me from leaving after the first episode aired. It was a special time for sure. This was and is absolute trash, but it was our treasured trash and we still came back for more every week ^^.
After Jom vanished from 1928, he didn't go back to the future (or his present), he went straight to the 1700s…
Ooooh! Thank you so much. Now that you mentioned it specifically, his life before was vaguely hinted at. I would definitely like a season two, judging by the commanders outfit, the clothes will be top tier. And we would get an explanation of the macguffin ring.
Can someone explain the post credit scene to me? I feel like an idiot, but I'm so confused. Is it a spoiler for a new spinoff series where Jom time travels some more?
Rather then calling this a remake, I would say it's a sampling of the original like producers do in the music industry. The general idea of Why RU's plot is there, but new imagined.
It's good, they visibly had maybe 1/8th of budget of the original but tried their best. The story is character focused and slow burn, in a good way.
The only that genuinely sucks sometimes is the audio, mostly in outside scenes where the wind is obviously blowing heavily, but you can't hear anything.
But if you like small scaled, character focused, indie feeling stories there is a big chance you will enjoy this drama.
I haven't started this drama yet, but was wondering if there is any significant differences between the cut and uncut version. And if yes which one is more worth watching?
Is this the all episode being dub or just some scene ?It turn me off when i watching the drama suddenly the bgm…
I assume the microphone they had used picked up too much wind and the original audio was distorted (you can see bushes and leafs move around in the background). Either they didn't realise it after/during filming, they had no money left to reshoot the scenes properly or they just took the cheap way out and rerecorded the audio.
Which sucka because it genuinely pulls me out of every single scene they do this in
I don't care what anyone says, how bad the audio gets or how confusing the subtitles are, for some unexplainable…
The audio thing tho! Is it just me or do some scenes they filmed outside seem... Dubbed? Like there is zero background noise sometimes even though you can SEE plants move. So either their filter was way too strong or they... Forgot to reshoot scenes because of the wind?!
If you expect a korean remake of the thai original, I would say don't. It's more of a 'took the basic ideas' kind of thing. The budget is visibly also not as big, but they obviously tried with what they were given and I do like the characters. They're not as cartooney as the characters from why r u, but still very full of expression.
I would say if you like a small scaled, character focused slow burn story loosely inspired by why r u then give it a shot :)
I can't get over how in ep. 5 Jioh wants to do more detailed editing and wears glasses that have no glass in them, rendering the whole thing so pointless. I understand it's because of lighting and reflections in the lenses, but like... At least be A LITTLE BIT SNEAKY. I literally burst out laughing
I also find it all a bit weird ( i haven't seen the last episoe yet) but why is everyone okay with this? like…
I know that cover up marriages are common, especially with traditional families like Lom's. Even to this day, BUT it could have been handled better, I agree. Especially when it seems like they have no plans for the future. What about the children their mothers are already planning? What about the apartment? What about Nuea's family? They've met Lom, they'll probably want to meet his family too.
It was absolutely pointless in the series because because nothing came of it, hella frustrating

Thank you, you made things a lot clearer :)

Was it too fast paced? Yes, but there are way worse dramas out there.
Which sucka because it genuinely pulls me out of every single scene they do this in

Just... Loads of open questions
