No one is defending him & they r just asking to stop spreading hate in the name of justice.I never saw a comment…
I'm deeply sorry you were assaulted, and the person who did that to you is a worthless piece of shit. I support you in whatever feelings you have - you don't owe us "nice, kind words". Sending you a great big hug.

No, he does not need to be defended. Any man who thinks the way he does is not a friend of women...period. I don't know who or what he is, and an apology that comes after he was forced to address his words doesn't prove repentance/sorrow. So based on that, nobody should be defending him. Just let him deal with the aftermath, which will be an example to others. Women complain about rape culture/abuse, but at the end of the day, we're not willing to let men suffer the consequences, as a stern rebuke. We want to protect them, and hope they'll just grow into better human beings, because of the passage of time. Doesn't work that way.

Women are often the gate keepers of misogyny. I hate to tell you, but it's true. We coddle men...always offering…
Yeah, and that comes from being "followers".

I don't follow any of them. I think some are attractive and appreciate the ones who can act/sing.

That's the extent. I don't ever think I know them personally, because I don't.

How do you know he's never assaulted anyone?

men are literally evil we been known but what makes me want to go fuckin smack my head against the wall is women…
Women are often the gate keepers of misogyny. I hate to tell you, but it's true. We coddle men...always offering a breast to feed, and these same women would never extend anywhere close to that level of grace, to another woman.

A simple Google search for "rape culture in Thailand" and any familiarity with Lakorn (that often normalizes rape as a form of entertainment) will lead any one with common sense to conclude there's a problem...and it's largely cultural, and if the offending party happens to be handsome, and present well, it's all good. Women zone out. We're not loyal. We don't stay on code.

Did you read a lot of the comments? Women were basically told to "hush" under the guise of "promoting positivity". They want peace, at the cost of your emotional well-being.

So Build saying what he said is not surprising, and I promise there are more "surprises" to come, and it's not going to end well. I've seen men get canceled/dropped from series, for saying much less, in the US. The "We've all said bad things" didn't cut it. "We all were young once" didn't fly. So the best thing to do when someone pulls you to the side and says, "address this" you need to do just that, and that MAY be the best opportunity you'll get. Because avoiding your shit always backfires, because it makes you look shady.

I'm growing weary with this nonsense, and I'm glad every single time when one of these men get reminded that while your past may not define you, it will follow you, and you may have to give an account for your, cruel, insensitive words.

They care more about a BL series and a man they don't know than they do about how his words possibly affected victims of sexual assault.

"What if" is a tricky position to take, because you're speaking about something you don't know. What if he changed? What if he hasn't? What if he sexually assaulted a woman, because he felt she was asking for it, because her dress was too short?

What if?

What we do know is he said women who are raped deserve it, because of how they dress. We know that. Doesn't matter if it was "8 years ago".

We also know the BOC brought it to his attention and he did nothing to address it. We know that. "What if" he'd actually addressed it, and expressed genuine remorse and a commitment to help change laws that affect sexual assault/domestic violence victims? What if? Perhaps if he'd gotten in front of the storm, and addressed it, to show that he was indeed not the same man....what if?

We also know whenever these kind of incidents come up, there's usually an apology. We expect it. It's damage control. The actor does what's required by his company. That we know.

What we don't know? If the apology is legit, and if they've truly changed, because of what we know about celebrity scandals. A rape apologist' mindset must be challenged and there's a lot of inner work that must happen to uproot it. It doesn't just go away, "with time".

So you really shouldn't have much to say to anyone, out of respect and consideration for the thousands of women who have been sexually assaulted and blamed because they were "dressed inappropriately". You can pass, rather than cape for a man because you like his character, and don't want a show to get bad press. Unfortunately the actions of one, good or bad, can affect the collective. We love it, when the actions are good. We want to forget it, when the actions aren't so good.

If a woman expresses her anger, you let her express it, and if you can't be understanding and supportive, it's best to not say anything.

Girl, the rape apologists have come out!

Babies get raped. Was it the diaper? When 90 year old women are raped, is it the granny gown?

I started not to say anything but I will speak for myself. As a young woman I was the victim is sexual assault.…
He didn't say "Women who wear orange socks are dumb"

He said women deserve to be raped because of how we dress. That goes beyond stupid, and there are plenty of young men and women who would have never positioned their mouths to say something that vile.

How do you know he's changed? Do you know him? Do you think he would admit to feeling the same? Of course he apologized. They all do. We don't know of it's legit or not. Rape apologists don't "out grow" their perspective, simply because time passes. He had to be forced to speak on it.

If he'd really wanted women to think he wasn't the same guy, he should have gone ahead of the "storm", and let the world know he was not only sorry for what he said, but he was committed to making amends for his words - helping to change cultural attitudes towards women, that cultivate rape culture and domestic violence.

It's really strange and disturbing that you go that hard for a man you don't even know. Men who think women deserve to be raped, because of how they dress are rapists, in the making - given the opportunity. All they need is a woman who tells them "no", and they feel entitled, because her dress was too short/tight. Let's not even mention male celebrities who use their societal status to harm women.

Love him all you want, but you get major sideye for wearing a cape for a rape apologist.

If a man says women deserve to be raped, because of how they dress, first thing I would think is, "Has he ever sexually assaulted a woman, and felt justified because of how she dressed?"

Because you "like" an actor and a series, don't let that melt your brain. Keep your wits about you. Some of you idolize these men.

No, I didnt say stupid shit close to what he said. I think of women all over the world who have been sexually assaulted...baby girls, elderly women. Some have DIED from the brutality/savagery of sexual assault.

I think of myself, being groped in a club in Korea, and feeling helpless and full of rage, and having to push it all down, because I was a foreigner, and Korea has shitty laws, and I don't speak Korean, and want to get back home to the US.

I don't give a FUCK about a damn BL series. So don't ever ask me to ignore my truth, for VegasPete and Season 2 of KinnPorsche.

Absolutely πŸ’―

Yeah. They're gonna get enough of that "We all". I didn't say shit close to that when I was a teenager, and none of my friends did either. Women deserve to be raped??? What about babies? Is the diaper to blame?

"Don't we want a season 2??????!!!!".

Which is asking all the women who have been sexually assaulted, to ignore their feelings of rage, to keep a damn BL series on the air. What in the entire fuck?

You're right. I never get that far gone with any actors/celebrities, and yes, I will drop them, and keep it moving.

What's interesting is that women are often the quickest to defend this nonsense.

I'm not going that hard for anybody I don't know personally. I have no idea who Build is as a person.

When I was in Korea, I was groped TWICE in a club, and had to think "Do I kick this guy's ass or let it go, because I don't speak the language, I'm a foreigner and the police will be of no help to me"

Smh.
