China’s censorship are freaking insane, dramas go through multiple reviews before being allowed to air. And…
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't age of sexual consent in China 14? Marriageable age is 20 and 22 for men, but age of sexual consent is 14... which is ... interesting .
What is the age of sang zhi when she met jiaxu for the first time? I don't get it though if they have a difference…
She is 14, he is 19; no romantic anything whatsoever. Next when she is 17 she develops a crush on him, he is treating her as younger sister. And finally when she is 20+ . I wonder why is this obsession with age difference in Asia... Every time if a drama's couple is not the almost the same age there is a major commotion. Bizzare.
Why? What happened??? I haven't watched her latest video yet
I am paying attention: I think you are obnoxious busybody who comes to the forum to provoke conflict while claiming to be a protector of good manners. Talking to you is not worth my time. If from now on you tag me I will block you.
I want to say something to the avenuex, outraged, and uncomfortable . Art doesn't exist to make anyone comfortable, in fact it is the opposite. I know in Asia many still think dramas suppose to be morality tales, but we are in the 21 century, and this is a international forum. This drama is in no way about grooming, or anything remotely inappropriate. In fact it is so scrubbed and wholesome, if it was a floor you could eat off of it. I remember similar hysteria over Love as Galaxy and Nevertheless. It seems to be a thing. There is an expression in English about people who see wrong and dirt everywhere they go "They need to have their head examined" . I am beginning to think the expression has it right.

Avenue x attacked this drama on moral grounds for even being made. Where is social responsibility? How could they use a 10 year old child to play a 14 year old! (I don't know maybe because this 10 year old is a helluva actress and looks remarkably like Lusi? ) How could they show that she is romantically attracted to him! How could they let him say this or that to her! Or do that for her! The lady could not even watch it past 1 ep. It was a total meltdown and was majorly overboard.
Ronghao tells his master Lady Chidi that his mortal desire was selfishly wanting her to be alive and by his side.…
I think the story is about many different kinds of love, not all of them romantic, that alter fate at a price. Both realms' rulers eschewed love, even punished it; and love wreaked havoc on 3 realms and it was loved that saved all three in the end. And I loved what lady arbiter said Everything is fate, except love.

He was like 7 or 8 when she saw him and saved him. If that was out of romantic love it would be sick. I would think her mortal desire was simply to bring back to life the poor blind boy who played such beautiful music. It was pity for his plight. Gods are not supposed to want to interfere with natural deaths of mortals out of pity.
Gaaaad this is ugly and pretentious. (outfit, not the model). He looks so cold, arrogant and foreboding, no warmth no charm to match these awful shades of gray he is wearing.
yeah, that part was majorly annoying. And all of her idiotic behavior as Moon Supreme - I know it is supposed…
Exactly. She is really smart and while non milliciouse even cunning . She knows how to get her way while being ever so cute and ever so helpless. In fact she gets her way in every situation, and she is resourceful , and brave in a squealing kind of manner. All of a sudden she behaves like a tantrum throwing raving idiot in a life and death situation. And all that 'I want to escape is getting' ridiculous: escape where? as well as telling Jeili about the curse and the bracelet- seriously?
How many times does he have to tell her that the immortals will kill her the minute they lay eyes on her again,…
yeah, that part was majorly annoying. And all of her idiotic behavior as Moon Supreme - I know it is supposed to be funny, cute, and all to let him learn of loving kindness but I wanted to throttle her (him) :) It is just so silly, but Dylan is really good in this role though!
I can't imagine too many men, especially 22 year olds with no prior experience who could forgive her behavior after the first night they had spent together. It was so hurtful, so undeserved, I just cringed. Him forgiving her without any explanation makes him a not just much more emotionally 'mature' than she is, it makes him a veritable saint . But I really liked the drama. Acting is excellent. It has attractive, interesting characters with credible motivations. It didn't slide into grotesque or cliché, relationships were believable, the dialog intelligent and fun. It is about friendship, camaraderie, betrayal, professional and personal challenges , human relationship of every kind as much as about romantic love. It is, as others mentioned a tad too long, with way too many disasters/setbacks befalling the leads, - for some reason most Chinese dramas always do one too many troubles toward the end, but still it was very good.
The story is convoluted but shallow. ML looks like a carp not a god, his acting is limp and boring to watch , FML - and I love the actress - takes forever to get a grip on the situation, and even when she does behaves like an idiot, and she never shuts up! There is zero chemistry between them. Mura is OK but her acting is mostly yelling, and the character is not very smart. Bi Ryim is vaguely amusing but 2 dimensional. Most of secondary cast is beyond annoying. The only interesting well acted character is the CEO, but even he is written like a cartoon. Total waste of time.
It is trite, and predictable, but could have been amusing had the ML been acted by a stronger actor. FML is excellent, but it only highlights how stiff and amateurish ML acting is..
3 eps in I thought main characters were absolutely insane. Why don't grown people in K-drama behave like normal humans instead of all these ridiculous misunderstanding, yelling, glaring, posturing and accusations? Is this supposed to be funny? Any way, I ended up disliking this drama for a host of different reasons one of them the plot line with the crazy killer boy. There was just too much rudeness, ugliness, and casual cruelty in this drama, I was not in the mood for it at all. And the title is majorly misleading.
