Everyone's sung the drama's praises, so I'll only say how arrested by Lee Hye Young's performance I was. She slowly built on me until I was enraptured. It's like Yeong Shin was made for her, or she understood Yeong Shin to her core. Amazing acting.
Mr Fighting (cdrama) - slice of life, not romance, but an amazing show nonetheless Wednesday 3:30 pm is a feel good webdrama The Best of You in Mind (cdrama) Bubblegum My Unfamiliar Family - imo, it has one of the most well-done friends to lovers arc Longing for Spring - pretty average but very cute, as far as I remember
There are more that I am missing, probably, but you can try these.
Just plucked up the courage to finish it, and I believe the drama was solid from start till end. I wish Cheng Wu plucked up the courage to confess in the end, but I believe the confession of the guests is a hint that him and Da Yu would be together - not now, but one day.
I loved Jackie Li, she was the star of the show. And by the end, I was impressed by Zhai Zi Lu. He really gave Cheng Wu a life of his own. The drama is underrated and one of a kind. Much to learn from, and a lot of warmth.
Looking forward to this! It's unfortunate that it got postponed, and almost cancelled, over false claims. In any case, it will be good to see Park Hye Soo on screen.
Before starting, I expected a lot, considering how much I have heard about the cast and how short dramas have moved me before. However, this was a let down. The set was pretty, and the visuals were pleasing. There was nothing inherently wrong with the progression of the story, it's how typically romance kdramas tend to go. I believe it was the writing; something was amiss, because this felt rehearsed, the interactions of the characters was artificial. There was no believable banter between long term friends. The drama was just... pretty looking.
I am someone who loves the friends to lovers trope so much so that I eat up low budget web dramas that have that theme. The tragedy is that the friends part was so unconvincing. That said, if you like the actors, maybe you'll like to see this union. But if you're here for the trope, there are better dramas. 5/10. I would give it less, but it did make my heart flutter at a handful of moments.
Is this drama so BAD that people keep rating it low and give it harsh critics? I love Doctor Prisoner vibes with…
Dr Prisoner was better written, better acted - the dialogue didn't feel like it was written by a teenager. It was a revenge thriller, borderline makjang, and it did that latter part really well.
The plot itself is pretty mediocre. The only good thing is SHJ's acting, but Oh Soo Jae is a hard character to digest, given how power hungry she is enough to misuse her powers as a professor. I don't know how she can be redeemed.
