This is getting more exciting. The villain is getting on my nerves with her breathy manner of speaking, but I am not complaining: the actress is doing a splendid job. And honestly I don't see how Mi Young and Jung Gook's marriage will survive - they are on oppose sides of the law.
Btw, the scenes where Kim Hae Il is walking through corridors and they slow it down are so fun, lol. They are so unnecessary but suit the nature of this drama.
Guess who's listening to Joy and about to ugly cry? Me. This drama is like being in a relationship - you become emotionally invested. I have only felt this way for two other dramas: Hello Monster and The Last Empress; and now this. Ugh. (Now In The Breeze is playing. Kill me. On a tangent, the rapper has great flow.)
I liked Goo Ara in You're All Surrounded and did not understand what the big fuss was about her acting. I get it in this one: her expressions are few so they get boring after some time.
Judge Park's spirit and sincerity is an admirable quality, but her thoughtlessness is a setback, and a very unprofessional one, given that she is a judge. She comes off too arrogant, believing she knows better than others. I hope I see character development.
My favourite character so far is the Chief Judge Han. He's so focused and gives zero crap. I love the way the actor has portrayed him. The one noticeable actor so far.
My favourite parts of episode 18 featured Han. He is so easy to love. His bond with Hae Il is heartwarming, and their moments the sweetest. Joy was the perfect OST for their scenes in this episode. Honestly, the OSTs have all been so memorable. They make a drama that much better.
I’m so emotionally invested in these characters, this last episode really killed me. At first, when Detectives…
I had the same doubts. Immediately, however, they disappeared. Then I thought it could be Ssongsac - or who I reflexively of thought when I looked at the bike before Han was hit. I am salty over how the detectives missed the news about the escape of the four bastards. To attack Han like that? I abhor them. With every thing I have.
The immediate thought I had when the priests were attacked was "Use your cellphone!" But I guess he was too desperate. Sigh.
Hwang Cheol Bum has to be my favourite villain so far. Why? Because he does not pretend to be nice. Yeah, he has a cover-up, but that's about it. Episode 17 was so satisfying.
I had a feeling from the beginning that Hwang Cheol Bum would have to side with the priest in the end. And seeing that happen is exactly what I needed. Man, they look so cool together. Never seen a better fighting duo.
And am I the only who feels Cheol Bum has a thing for the Prosecutor? Lol.
This is so good so far! The villains are not your typical antagonists; the hero is a liar but a sincere person at the same time; the women are given significant roles; the characters are interesting; finally, the BGM is fun and well placed. If they build properly over this strong base, voila, you have an original, memorable drama. Hopefully, the writers won't make a wrong decision and destroy the brimming potential.
Finished watching episode 6, and more connections have been found that relate the main characters with each other or other important events. The first few episodes were not sub-plots, I am happy to say. What's more, the female lead has a past too, and as she digs deeper into it, while the detective and lawyer dig into cold cases, we fall into more complex webs. I wonder how the writers will connect every thing neatly.
The ML calls the FL "birdbrain"; however, she has the ability to think quickly under pressure, as proven in many occasions. She may not have been brightest when it came to academics, but she is most definitely smart.
I feel one of the side stories was meaningless to the bigger scheme of things, so it shouldn't have been added. A few allowed us to look into certain characters' lives, but a particular one felt purposeless.
