The plot is great, and I like the mystery, but I am realizing, like almost every tvN drama I have watched, the characters are not properly explored. I do not see who they are, which is why there is little attachment. They could be anyone at this point.
Lmao, Jung Gook got a little too passionate while talking trash about Han Sang Jin. It was hilarious how his hesitation switched to a heartfelt speech about Sang Jin gifting his sister not only 30 dollars as a wedding gift, but sending it after two years. The awkwardness as soon as he saw Sang Jin was every thing.
I absolutely love Jung Gook's dad. The dementia part cracked me up, and apparently they were meeting a couple from another drama world! I love when dramas do that. Anyway, I live for Jung Gook's crazy family. And his rookie team intent on making him the Assemblyman is so funny. Can't get enough of this!
On episode 2, and Park Shi On has stolen my heart. Such a struggle to live amongst people who won't understand you. When he said, "Hyung, I think I ran around the field 10 times today," my heart broke. Such a small line with a great weight. He was exhausted, and for good reason.
The drama was good - especially our Chief Kim. Nam Goong Min is amazing with his portrayal in this one. The politics is your usual corporate politics, only that this did not transition into a melo.
The comedy was done well, and the chemistry between characters was great. The women were capable and the side characters really sweet. I enjoyed the chairman's son's development the most - I felt sympathy for him, for never having the oppurtunity to grow under a father's guidance but to only be expected to do well through material means. His mother's influence was definitely helpful.
My only gripe is that the writer did not use Seo Yool and Ha Gyeong's attraction beyond a few interactions (that were very touching and oozed with potential). They threw a great oppurtunity out the window. Hinting at their possible future doesn't really cut it. But I'm glad with what I got! Lol.
"PAPA!" It sent me. Ugh, the writing is hilarious. Absolutely loved these eccentric, endearing characters - they made this drama, with an average plot, stand out.
Watching episode 19 again, and although Hwang Cheol Bum is a bastard, he still learned thing or two from Father Lee about proper treatment of those who work under you.
Okay, so episode 19 is somber. Man, I almost shed tears because the truth about the whole case is painful. Ugh. And this is unsubbed. My state will be worse once the subs are released.
Just watched episode 7, and I was completely immersed. Connecting the pieces together with the characters kept my attention - there were many "aha!" moments. I liked that they let the women solve one part of the mystery and the men the other half. It's amazing how those in power inadvertently wove together people and their pasts in an attempt to warp the truth.
The closing scene where the four had a coincidental meeting spoke a lot; the leads that almost led nowhere are connected, and they construct a path to that one place that cost the lives of many.
Lmao, this is hilarious! I love the truth to politics. Episode 12 really made me appreciate the writer. Hopefully, they'll build on this and not collapse like some dramas do. Guys, if you love crime comedy and true politics, watch this.
Despite the show being about the gang clearing Priest Lee’s name, i feel like the show focuses more on Hae Il’s…
Unfortunately, this will be hard to overcome, given how many times, within a span of a few months, the people he has become close have been put in danger. What's great is that they consistently reassure him that they do not blame him in the least. I really sometimes think the writer should have given a few scenes where Hae Il goes to therapy sessions. At least the psychiatrist would not have become pointless (poor her).
I think it was consistent with Dae young's character, given how the police wants to know the deeper going ons. Besides, they ended up fooling Cheol Bum,so he used him and abandoned him, which should have satisfied Dae Young

The end was satisfying! Do watch this!
