This is soo SOOOO cliche - with the prettiest devil ever, I guess;) Cliches that makes you cringe but funny at the same time. And a laugh is healthy right? We got some suspense here also so at this point (up to 10th ep) it's not boring. Overall "a pretty drama". I just don't get why Jin Star took Joo Seok Hoon in the 10th ep to look for Do Do Hee, while clearly their aims are different?
It left me unsatisfied. Esp the ending. Everything elese was "cute" and "kinda fluffy" but the whole thing about how did she survived in the past was unconvincing.
Exactly.. Its scary how we girls are romanticizing wrong behaviour..
I don't think teenagers treat TV series as "role model", at least not knowingly. However when one sees smth similar repeatedly it kinda becomes known/normal. I'm not sure how to put it. Like small children repeat every word they hear - which leads to funny situations. That's the simplest form of it. In later years it becomes more complex. Maybe the thing with pics with many filters etc. on social media now which lead young ppl to think that's how human body looks/should look? In my opinion humans start to really think for themselve and analyze things around 20yo ;) Earlier it's just to simple to influence them and make them say and even think what you want them to. (I hope it doesn't sound like I'm deprecating teenagers of having their own thoughts. That's not my point. No one could magically start to think on their 20th bdays. It's a long process of learning and coming to know things.)
congrats. you have successfully misunderstood the whole thing basically. especially the hotel scene. The girl…
"I can't help it they jump out :) After learning the theory and what is expected, while watching a project I notice all the small things." Oooh you've meant in that wa. Smth like "how did they make". I wonder how the actor could've said a line that stupid or embarassing or how the actors felt having to for example stand and "look passionately at each other" a loooong time wich the crew need to film it from every angle XD
"what I wrote about the character were observations based on her behavior, not my personal feelings" And in general about your observation I've agreed. I don't remember it that clearly to argue about that. Still while watching she left that kind of feeling in me. Young, shy and inexperienced.
I certainly don't remember her promise O_o But some ppl treat words as wind ;) Still I don't like how the whole hotel part was done. It could have and should have been made differently. Even if it doesn't show blatant abuse it letf a feeling of disrespecting from his side. And irritating indecisiveness from her side.
Slow but good. Was my first thought around the 4th ep.
Why the unnecessary drama?? Was my second thought.
Slow but great! And the drama wasn't overdramatized. Was my third and the last thought.
I can recommend it with a clean conscience. At first I didn't like Ji Hyun - I mean the actor they have chosen. But he did a good job, was convincing and I got used to him. It was very refreshing NOT to see "am I gay?", "is smth wrong with me?", "I can't be gay!" dilemmas. Everything happened naturally, that's a big plus for this drama. And I love the OST! I definitely will rewatch it.
Exactly.. Its scary how we girls are romanticizing wrong behaviour..
Hmm are you trying to prove the maturity of 7yo? Biology can't be cheated. A teenagers brain isn't fully developed - their way of thinking is strongly hit by that. Of course some of them can show signs of maturity sooner then the others but that doesn't mean they are "mature".
I've never said that "most of the girls are retarded" come on, from where did you get that? I even clearly wrote that there are MANY girls who don't romanticise bad behaviour. And one can come across comments that make you lose faith in humanity ;) *joking* Still many will still grew up from it and after a few years will wonder "why did I write it?" "why did I like it?" "why didn't I see it?"
congrats. you have successfully misunderstood the whole thing basically. especially the hotel scene. The girl…
Indeed. You wrote quite a massive comment here. I've never agreed with a statement "we/us girls are romanticizing wrong behaviour". If that's what you're trying to nitpick about.
Do you really make "mental notes" on every drama you watch? No hidden agenda here, I'm just genuinely curious.
And everything you wrote here is not objective=true, but subjective opinion - as mine is as well.
Also I don't insult others (as long as they don't insultme prior) so please stop trying to fault me for that.
Different opinions? Great! You say there're no big loop holes in this drama? You might be right. I've never accused it for this. And after 3 years I might not remember them even. You say that behaviour of the female lead was consistent? Again I won't argue. She (and he I guess also) didn't do anything out of the character, that would be hard to explain.
Still I was pointing and criticising the drama for showing a situation that was very uncomfortable to watch as a romantic one, which in my - and not only my, as we all can see - opinion was abusing. She might be too shy to say "hey let's have sex" but he should have never made hidden signals with the hotel owner behind her back and forced it like this after she many times vocalised she didn't want to. Tracking your way of thinking: she was too shy to say "I don't want to" so she bypassed it with "I don't think it's a good idea" (or "I think it's too soon for us").
I have simple mind - if someone says "no" that means "no". If someone says "no" but thinking "yes" - it's their loss then ;P Overthinking is a hole without an end.
One of the very few drama that has a surprising and satisfactory ending, really, one of the very, very, very few.…
Both of your comments have encouraged me to give it a try^_^ I hesitated bc of only dubious "bromance" tag and rather low rating. But if it's decent (we're talking about a Chinese drama, I don't expect muchXD) and the battle scences are well done, it's worth checking out :)
Just wondering, is apologising that tormenting? And a grave punishment? Esp if one done smth wrong (and even illegal…
I don't think the term "cancel culture" applies in this case. His career doesn't seem to be affected, but I don't track this case. However I do agree that amount of focus on "netizens" is extreme. Big media can do news on "there was a great uproar on the Internet/FB/Twitter on that matter" (or any other platform which is mostly used in the country). The heck - those comments mean absolutely nothing. But they create an illusion that by writing an anonymous comment online one possess actual power. And I hate hypocrisy too. So both actions require the letter, imo :)
Why are people taking this so seriously?? he is over 18 he can smoke if he wants to
Yes he can do it since he's adult and he also can be judged by that. That he's stupid for doing so. Cigarettes stink, intoxicate (not only you but your surroundings too), drain one's wallet (but he don't need to think about that though XD) and there's not a single thing they improve (or that cannot be replaced by smth else - I mean mythical calming effect). And indeed - I hate smoking and the odour.
It's disturbing to see how much power these netizens have over the entertainment community. Any actor or pop star…
Just wondering, is apologising that tormenting? And a grave punishment? Esp if one done smth wrong (and even illegal - remember he had to pay a fine). This "remorse letter" is a Korean (and at least Japanese I guess) thing - I think we all doubt the sincerity of such flowerful expressing of regret, but when you are in the spotlight many things will be over the top. I assume he kinda regret (being caught mostly) but all the rest is a theatre.
Also if we all start to think "it's no big deal" to leave trash everywhere, we're gonna drown in the litter - as many places do right now actually.
The most boring "masterpiece" there is. 😅Dropped this.Just watch Chicago Typewriter instead for a good 20th…
I think I'll drop it too (11th ep). I can't digest such overromanticised resistance movements. Also the age gap... Why no one is saying anything about that?XD And the romance itself is rather unconvincing.
In my opinion it's a drama about nothing. Nothing has really happened there. For 9h the plot is rather sketchy, close to non-existent. I was very bored, although not from the beginning, the second half mostly. I prefer to get to know other characters too, their circumstances, the plot other than "falling in love without any reason" but here for about 98% of time the focus was on the main couple. And it's not like they were really busy with anything. I gave it 4 and I don't recommend it.
I couldn't able to complete it, not because it's boring. I gave enough chances until 5th episode. Normalizing…
I've just finished it although the last episodes were rather boring. I don't feel that it "normalizes cheating" or "promote" it. Absolutely not. Everything happened because of Shoji's betrayal and even he couldn't understand why he did it. "If only I didn't do it", "why did I cheat on her"; "if only you didn't cheat on me" (Yui) show that dramamakers wanted to point it's a serious matter and one should think more before the act because what's done cannot be undone. Also I think it was that the older generations were more "accepting" and tried to push "it's no big deal, just have fun too" but it was not the case for the younger one. Political background could play a big role in all of it. A glimpse of Japanese election (dorama style) was quite noteworthy, but I'm so full of elections right now (it just ended in my country) therefore I've watched this drama for a few weeksXD However the most unconvincing character was Kyoji. I was thinking to the last minute that he must be sent by Shouji's mother, for sure, 100%. P.S. I hope ppl will stop repeating that if smth is shown in a move or drama it means "it's promoted". For quite a long time I can see that many people if they don't like some topics, threads or anything say "it's promoting" smth bad or "it's a propaganda". Movies in general, or from entertaining industry don't show reality 1:1, they have no power to force you (or anyone) to act or think in a specific way. If they could we should ban American horror movies in the first place, esp in this time of year (halloween) because all of these movies "promote killing, raping and torture" and they show it very detailed and realistically.
why the king didnt die by the poison? so many questions.
I've thought that I missed smth... How did they cure her? I guess that Jung Ji-Woon is kind of genius doctor, but I doubt wiping her hands would be enough XD
I just don't get why Jin Star took Joo Seok Hoon in the 10th ep to look for Do Do Hee, while clearly their aims are different?
