So today our FL kissed Shang Yi Zhi and began the romance with him. But for readers of the novel, we know that…
Oh really?! I'm quite surprised then... Dunno if it's just me, but the romantic chemistry is a little lacking, if I'm honest. I'm not drawn to the drama because of the romance so it doesn't really bother me.
Apart from what is on the recommended list, are there any other dramas like this? It's been a while that I've seen the two leads with such great chemistry and it's just very realistic, in life, work, romance.
I've dropped this drama as I understand the ex-bf lingers around forever which would only be frustrating and repetitive but could someone enlighten me on...
I haven't watched OSN but in that, is the "current" boyfriend (PYA in this case) annoying as well and roughly how far in, in OSN does he drag out the break up - towards the middle, latter half, towards the end(!)? PYA is really annoying with his little tricks and manipulation.
I really don't like the way PYA talks to XN's Dad. Granted I don't know of XN's Dad's role in her upbringing and their family issues surrounding the divorce but based on what I've watched so far, XN does not seem to talk bad of him. PYA's attitude towards her Dad is somewhat rude.
On a separate note, I found it amusing that PYA interchanged between his two hairstyles, lol. I ddon't find it that common in modern chinese dramas. Yes, MLs tend to have a different hairstyle when at home to at the workplace but yeah here he has that sleek all back kinda hairstyle and then at other times it's a bit on the curley, wavely side. But yeah, just something I spotted and found amusing XD.
I'm totally into this drama and am loving all the characters. I don't often watch a drama where I feel everyone…
Sammmee! Sometimes I'm little weirded out or confused by his facial expressions and thought maybe I'm reading too much into it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets that vibe from him. I've never seen any of his work so can't compare.
Is it just me or what? Why is PYA somewhat surprised that XN wants to end the relationship?
I mean, what he is expecting?! That she'll become his mistress knowing quite well that his Dad doesn't approve of their relationship and certaintly will not agree to them getting married or that he will be able to persuade his Dad to approve of XN when he has not been able to do so for the past 10 years; and then also expect his business partner's Dad to continue to support their business when who they really want to support is their future son-in-law? He's just trying to prolong this relationship for his own sake while hoping things will fall into place.
The editing is weird also. They go from having such a serious talk, she crying and revealing that she knows right well that the person he will be marrying is not her and that he's making her a fool... for her to then later say she wants to break up and he thinks she's joking?! His ego...
Well, Jiang Xiaoyuan basically figured out why and confronted him with the truth: he feels guilty about standing…
That 180 degree turn shocked me too.
Yeah, I agree. He's probably struggling inside to come to terms with this and that his generosity towards JXY was because he believed she was the JXY he knew. The JXY he knew is missing and probably blaming himself partly for it because from the conversation (at the dinner she wanted to treat him to) it was revealed that apparently he could have been there for his JXY when she was having a hard time, but he wasn't. But at the same time, she reiterated on numerous ocassions to him that she's not the JXY he think she is and albeit he agreed to become "friends" without really understanding what she really meant, it is so unfair for JXY to now be treated so badly by him. Hate him now too lol.
On a separate note, what is ML's profession? And he really looks like a character out of an anime! Lol
I watched 2 episodes and then went to watch one trailer. Is it correct to say that the whole drama is about travelling to the opponent's country to bring back the Emperor, filled with mini arcs here and there? Or is that in itself is just one of the beginning arcs otherwise I feel like it may drag.
Not dubbed... theirs voices were picked up at the scene of filming I believe.
Sometimes depending on the surrounding and where they're filming certain scenes they have to dub their own voices but for the most part, you can tell their voice are picked up at the time of filming like most non-chinese dramas. In the above clip also, YSX was like at one point saying something along the lines of, "wasn't the original voice good enough, I said it so well"
Shangguan Quan always has watery eyes when she talks to Gong ShanJue , I don't know why I feel she likes him maybe…
Re her status at WF, I think while she is labled "Chi" her skills surpasses that. Her Trainer prolly knows her too well that she doesn't have the ruthlessness it takes to be a Mei, though she could. She's not cold blooded. She doesn't want to hurt those that are innocent.
I also noticed when SGQ bragged that she has vital information she can now share with her Trainer/ WF before the half month (iirc) deadline, YWS was like, I'm not worried about that, I'm concerned about how to deliver the new information, SGQ's expression changed as if she hadn't thought of it!
Her Trainer is a relatively good one (to an extent) compared to SGQ's one. He was worried about her, told her the remedy to lessen the pain, warned her multiple times not to trust anyone (though that didn't last long, she revealed herself to SGQ so early on!) and told her to always insist no matter what, she is YWS which saved her big time. The Gongs clearly likes to scare/ test them, GSJ in that case and GYZ and the bug with SGQ.
