Man, someone please tell me this will get another season, or just a 3rd special. I feel sad without these characters in my life.

All I'm asking for is that the writers eventually, someday (preferably within the near future of my life) finally let Akiko and Akira actually get together. It's adorable and hilarious watching Akira chase after her and pine for her and hope, but my heart can only take so much.

And I guess I here I go to see if there is any progress on their relationship in the 2022 special. Here's desperately hoping, lol.

Just finished watching, and I loved this. When I watched the original series in 2021, I enjoyed it immensely, but it was also a pretty strange ride. The overarching story is very silly, but the writers really knew how to pull completely unexpected, from left-field, twists while pulling at your heartstrings and making you love these (sometimes odd) characters. It wasn't until watching this special, however, that I realized how much I love the original series.

I just love every character in this universe, and watching them be happy makes me happy. (Spoiler below for one particular plot point.)

This drama is very silly, lol. I assume the silliness is on purpose as it feels like it is, but even if it's not intentional, it's still really fun. It's a story about a couple of oddballs being odd together and ending up in some outlandish scenarios. Definitely don't take anything in this drama too seriously. Just go with it, and you'll have fun.

I really need to get around to watching the original.

I've been unsure about whether this will be something I'll want to watch, but all of the stills are really pulling me in. This looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Does anyone know where I can find raws for eps 7 through 10? I'm not finding them in my usual spots.

I just rewatched this, and oh my goodness is this such a lovely drama. Love it even more now.

I totally get why it was so popular with people. It's 100% a crack drama, lol.

This is one of the dramas I watched as a newbie Asian drama lover. The story sucked me in and then drove me absolutely nuts. I ended up pushing myself to finish it. Needless to say...I hate Goong. I hate it with the passion of a thousand fiery suns.

I will also absolutely watch this remake if it ever actually happens, because I am clearly a glutton for punishment. And I have this small, ever-present hope that the remake will find a way to make the story, and its characters, less infuriating.

I'm absolutely delusional, but at least I can admit it, lol.

I know the translation has him saying something like 'It's been a while,' but I think there's enough wiggle room in the scene for that to not mean what people think it means. Either way though, my head cannon is that they are together, lol.

I've now finished the series, and I think people's comments on the ending may have been misleading. The last scene seems open to some interpretation, but given the scene just before it, I think it's possible we actually got a happy ending? I'm not truthfully sure, but I'm making a happy ending my head cannon, because the last two scenes make it seem possible.

I still think about this drama, 7 months later. One of the best drama's I've ever watched.

Also, I'm dreading the ending, because I've read the spoilers, and I'm preemptively sad.

Leaving a comment here so I'll see it when I write my review, but the main actor is PERFECT in this role. He NAILS the cute and comical expressions of his character, and I love it so much, lol.

I've been thinking a lot lately about gratitude and how I can live a more grateful life. I know from personal experience what walking around with bitterness and anger and hurt can do to you if you don't address it. It steals your life. There's actually scientific research showing that gratitude has immense health benefits both mentally and physically, and the lack of gratitude and/or bitterness and long-term anger and hurt cause health problems for us both mentally and physically. (The same actually goes with forgiveness and an unwillingness to forgive.)

It's definitely hard to overcome pain and suffering in our lives and develop gratitude and an ability to forgive, but in the long run, they are good for us.

Yeah, some of the jokes really felt out of place this season. Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't remember season 1 having any gag jokes.

Well, I should say the second half of the drama, ep 6/7 on, are what saved it for me.

The last 4 eps saved it for me too. The whole thing felt very incohesive at times which was a confusing, and not always enjoyable, viewing experience.

This season was a mixed bag. There were some really great moments, some strong character development. It was really great to see what these girls were like as kids, their upbringings, and later as college students and how their friendship began. It gave us a lot of insight into who they each are. And while everyone else seems to have hated how things played out between Ji Goo and Ji Yeon, I think it was some of this season's strongest writing. I actually mostly like how things played out in both of our romances, personally. But there were some poor writing choices this season as well. The first two episodes were fine for me, but when we were still in the mountains by ep 3, I was ready for the girls to go home. The whole 'healing in the mountains' bit was only going to work for so long, and they stretched it beyond what was reasonable. Ji Yeon's job at the yoga studio felt totally out of place to me and didn't start to feel like a cohesive part of the story until halfway through the drama. There was some gag humor that felt totally out of place and not really very funny. And the tale end of the last episode was disappointing in some ways.

This season was just incohesive, and I'm torn on how to rate it.
