Very different vibe. LBL is more romance. Slow burn, calm and mature romance. With revenge plot as a major part for characters development but not overwhelmed the romance part.

But this one is grade A Comedy. It poke fun at 90s-2000s rom com.
Simple plot and the characters aren't too complex or required you to studying their face closely when watching.
With FML who got no ideas about love, don't really care about the novel and have relatable reactions to being transmigrated to 90s romance novel. Very up beat.

So I think this one is good for travel. You got a lot going on. So a more simple but very entertaining plot +comedy gold moments will be easy to enjoy.

Yeah. Besides being his GF. This poor girl is also her parents emotional support. Her father always fall back into depression since that day in the past. Mother is helpless. So she always the one nursing them back to life again and again. That's why that sunshine personality come from.
She just prioritize her family first. While asking other people in his life to be kind to him because she can't.
Because despite being selfish depressed her parents is good and loving to her.
She never think it's his fault or wanna break up but she thinks she owe her parents to do that.
But nha she doesn't.
It's part of characters development 😭

The moment he walk into work and people are nice and act like nothing happened. He smiled. It kinda implying he knows. That's why after that his mentality improve and he keep approaching her. Because he knows it will resolve soon.

their comedy is at its A game😂.
I find the romance really cheesy with the 1999 type of OST playing in the background (maybe I'm wrong. It just the music sounds old-school).
Appreciate them try to make soundtracks era accurate but it in romance moment kinda made me cringe 😅

This one is slower-paced than the other 2 because it talk about mental health and healing. Visually beautiful. Calm. Slice of life type imo. ML fell first and support her thru healing journey.

Shine on me is an heiress finding her place in the world, finding confidence to be herself, accept her identity, and to love again. It's a lit about college, then workplace relationships. ML & FML support e/o work type. It has melodramatic elements like CEO father, evil stepmother, and sister. But they are not a major part at all. Don't worry.

LBL got melodrama elements. It's the revenge plot. While the story focuses most of it on developing the relationship, the revenge plotline is always there as a major part of the character's development. It's not overpowering at all. Both leads are smart and mature.
The game kinda serves as a metaphor for his state of mind. Cold/calm/loneliness/playing mind game&waiting for the right moment to avenge.
Both meet while playing a role-playing game. Ignite e/o fighting spirit.
Then they find out they kind of a really good team tgt and became friends/partner both in game and irl.

All of them is pretty good. It all come down to personal tastes.

Things I realized days later after the end is FML's parents is irresponsible af for making their daughter feel like she have to support them emotionally since she was young.
I get it he's depressed and stuff but they put so much weight on her to be their safe place.

At first I was like she worked in a shitty place for 2 yrs so she grow up fast. Know how to deal with people, a little too humble but can stand up for herself if need to.

But at the end I realized it's them depending on her emotionally.
And because the girl is a good, kind heart and intelligent enough to know what they want. She gave them ALL she had.
That's why she can't go study abroad.
That's why she give up on her own life and live for them.
Get a steady job and marry.
Like, in normal family where a mother is present. There's no way a middle class family wouldn't grit their teeth and push their daughter to go get aboard scholarship.
The way her father said he was happy she didn't go just break my heart.
That's why our girl is so mature.

On FML being mature....

The game world is not a major part of it.
The game world is basically a metaphor for ML state of mind.
He got a dark past he cannot let go. And that night is a cold snowy night.
It also represent the lonely path he chosen to walk because he got a life long mission he has to accomplish.

FML step into his world, literally, and she bring sunshine into his world while also ignite her own fighting spirit that got lost when she grow up to adulthood. She find her self drawn to him and his fight. They became partner both in and out of the game.

The game only come up when they can't resolve thing irl after that.

It focus on them finding a best partner in e/o and heal e/o childhood trauma.
