I watched some "fell for the one who killed my fiancé(e)" stories but I was surprised by the events in this one. It is a bit different and unexpected for me. FL is ok but ML is the best so far.

Yes she needs healing for her trauma and her nightmares but there is also something wrong with her behavior. She wants people to pay more than they must. She considers the tragic events she lived, her pain and her own moral compass are prominent compared to the justice. Worst she is able of scheming plans to obtain her own "justice".

Regarding her fiancé, she was missing someone in her life. She chose Pat because he saved her and gave her a new life (so she thinks). She rationalized a compulsive decision with a fact when she knew nothing about that man. She was just so happy afterwards as it made her father go easier on her. And she is angry now because the decision she took was overruled by an accident.

She is immature, angry, and stubborn. She is not the only one who suffered. Others did and they do not go to the extent she goes.

Fingers crossed this does better than LOTRS in a same genre of drama.

I was shocked by the way Grand Prince changed and how he turned into such an evil guy. He ordered the massacre of the village of widows but still he escaped unscathed in the end. Later I learnt the character is based on a real historical character who actually took over so I said to myself ok, somethimes the bad guys win.

I don't think the CP is really evil here. He is surrounded by schemers and he does not know the truth regarding his mother, Jin Moo, Mu Deok, Jang Uk... He will probably be put in a huge dilemma and he will have to choose between friends and family.

But who knows. If he becomes the main villain, it would be great. It would mean that a lot of things happened that changed him for the worse. There are so many eps left and possibly a second part. Maybe he will be the villain in the second part?

But Uk likes the soul of Nak Soo with the face of Mu Deok ... tricky.

She is in Mu Deok's body but she is suppressed (she seems asleep) and she is cohabiting with Nak Soo's soul who is awake and in control. She briefly took over but it is not clear if it of her own will or because of an external event. So yes it is possible. She can be back. I would even say it is very likely that she will be back.

There is a mystery about her identity. Is she a poor country girl blind and weak raised by an old woman and has nothing to the point she was sold to a gisaeng's house? Or is she the Jin's oldest lost daughter who would have mage potential? Many theories are developped that she has powers and she can control her body or Nak Soo's autonomy or that she is conscious of the events.

Hopefully tomorrow we learn more about this.

I dropped it very early. I thought this concept of judging cases in front of the people with judges looking like priests and lawyers, prosecutors talking like preachers was ridiculous. The vote online from the viewers as base for the verdict reminded me a show where a couple having a divorce comes on tv and their case is presented. Then people can vote to tell them to divorce or to stay together.

I thought this could be a very subversive way to criticize churches, preachers and public opinions which want to decide the life and death of people just based on tv or internet. But I could not stand the court spectacle itself. I said to myself ok, if this is all about presenting cases on TV and manipulating people based on what is disclosed, then ok, I had enough with the first ep. I really did not like the concept.

Lee Joon Gi is one of my fav actor but I still dropped Again My Life. Looked convoluted and sounded noisy.

I would not mind a little bit of romance like in Whisper or just some hints to romance like in 365 Repeat the Year. But most important is that the main plot is smart, complex and coherent with a great ending!

Uk is constantly teasing her and now he is starting to be the victim of his own game. But on her side, she sure is very protective of him but she is too scheming to be really interested in him as a man. It's like she has a "noona with her own agenda" side which works as a roadblock.

In term of souls, we would say one soul absorbs and consumate the energy of another soul and destroy it. It is different from plitting or merging where the two souls would become two or one. Something I don't think is "possible" but who knows in the world of Fantasy...

I don't read korean language so I would not be able to debate with you about the title. Based on what I see, I would say 'transfer of soul' is quite adapted.

For me, Humans have a body and a soul. The body is the physical vessel. The soul is the mystical part that continues to live apart from the body.

So in normal situation in Daeho, a human being is born with a body and soul inherited from his father and mother. And this is a unique and specific pairing.

In the Alchemy of Souls, it is possible to switch bodies or to shilf a soul in another body causing this body to have more than one soul inside (with its consequences). Technically, it is not said that a body or a soul can be split in two or merged with another body or another soul.

So for now, I would stick with the logic of unicity of soul or body. This is why I would not consider any soul splitting or soul merging unless they come up with it with a good explanation... I don't say it is not possible. But they'd better make it coherent.

I agree anything can happen in Fantasy but there is still a need of coherence and consistency. If it is possible to split souls or merge souls, then why not merge Uk's and Yul's souls?

Silly idea but just to say that the writer cannot go into too convoluted directions or it will impair the credibility of the story. I believe they already have their hands full with the current complicated situation.

How is it possible to combine two souls? It is possible to combine two bodies using telepods in science fiction but two souls... Is it possible? Never heard of such a concept in Fantasy...
