Except for Deng Lun and Li Yi Tong it's bad. All the other characters are just grotesque.

Yes I believe there are plenty of Culture in Asia or Africa or other places where you can and eveb should marry your sister in law or your brother in law for example to keep the wealth and kids in the family but I was just mentioning that Chinese drama often do this. I don't see this is Korean or Japanese dramas. China dramas really present marriage as a simple formality and not a red line you cannot cross.

Still I believe that traditional families like in China would hardly approve of a younger son marrying the woman who divorced his older brother. Question of image and reputation as in most case the woman will be branded evil and not suitable. Anyway in this drama Yuexuan has a backdoor to win her back considering his real background.

I hate LSK. He is best when he portrays a loser. He looks like a dog abandoned in the rain. I hate this actor. Why him?

Even if U like Deng Lun I have not watched Ashes of love as Chinese fantasy dramas are not my cup of tea. I am shocked by this info. Chinese drama really do not see marriage as a red line.

I have to disagree with you. Loveless marriage is still marriage. It is a sacred institution morally and a legal framework you need to respect. If people involved have no love for each other they can divorce then start a new. I have seen marriage which started without love but to openly date or be pursued by a man when you are married woman sorry that's pretty lame and the sign that this woman a little moral values. I really don't understand this kind of plot. I guess I will have to see how they explain that. Maybe for some people marriage is really not a big deal.

It's like they don't really see marriage as a red line. Like marriage is just a practical consideration. I still remember the main girl in the Legends marrying to obtain a magic pill and she doesn't hide she likes another guy to her husband then asks for divorce like she would ask to be passed the salt. More generally I think love triangles in Chinese dramas are weird. It tends to look like cheating as the girl would keep all her options open for a long time. I guess this is their way to conceive courting.

I am still at ep 6 waiting for sub. I will wait patiently and try to accustom myself to the idea that they will be reunited and he will be chasing after his ex sister in law. I get that he sacrifices his own feelings for the sake of his brother but chasing his ex sister in law...
