To everyone crying or upset that LMH is in this, stop being such a Debby downer. If it bothers you that he is…
It is fact LMH is really not one of the best korean actors. Plenty of guys ahead of him. So I understand that some people think a better actor would have been possible. Or maybe they are afraid he will ruin the drama. The plot looks intriguing. I will try it as I found City Hunter pretty decent. I think a good story can save a drama with an average actor or actress.

We haven't seen that yet but I think it will happen soon since there are a second female and male leads.
It would be nice if there is side romance but it is risky for the drama. Some side romance are so good that it is prejudiciable to the main couple. Perfect example is High society where the side couple even gets a better ending. Good side romances are Descendant of the sun or Pinocchio. But the drama needs to give enough character development for the second leads so people can adhere to their love. In this drama, I don't really see where they can start from. The second female lead is not bad so far. She is not an horrible wench just a woman looking for her fiancé. But the second lead guy... he is not really a good guy. I mean he is hiding in North Korea because of some bad deeds related to Se Ri's family. And the way he talks to and treats his subordinates he has a long way before he looks nice and amicable.

So far I think the second lead woman will keep chasing her fiançe she has not seen for 10 years and the second male lead will see Se Ri as a way to go back to SK and settle things with her family he betrayed back there.

For those who are after SeRi for being spoiled , what do you actually expect from a rich heiress!!!!. She is the…
I don't have a real problem with her personality. I think all along, she was someone independent and cunning to reach her objectives. She is not really a rich heiress has she is an illigitimate child and she launched her own business. She does not live with her rich family to suck money from them. She is not spoiled just that she has the references of her own class while being lost in North Korea. She is quite scheming in her business but she does not have intentions to harm people. She just try to put herself in a better situation or adapt herself and save her a$$ using her charm or her sweet words... So far she is quite interesting and funny but true I wish we learn some darker aspect about her past soon.

I love this drama more and more as the new episodes come out. Some scenes were probably won't make sense, but…
The drama is a parody so it is fine that some things are unrealistic or make no real sense as long as they point out at a fact or a truth to entertain or advise. What annoys me is when something impossible is showed as realistic to facilitate the plot. For example what annoyed me recenty was /SPOILER: The fact that she managed to get back her whole paragliding equipment by night when it was supposedly stucked in a tree surrounded by landmines. / what?? What the fu... funny friends.

The wiretapping guy scenes somehow remind me of My Ajhussi. This guy will definitely change sides soon.
I am afraid he will be killed before he gets the chance.

Is this some webdrama with 12 eps of 10 minutes? That's bad. That actress was great in My secret romance. Why it took so many time to see her again in such small projects. Wish her the very best.

I really really liked this and will definitely continue to watch but I'm curious about something.. I really don't…
South Korea doesn't see North Korea as an "enemy" even if the official status between the two nations is a state of war and they need to prevent any invasion. Specifically regarding the entertainment industry and South Korean's producers maybe there are some official organs to tell them not to do too much regarding North Korean but in the case of this drama I believe they avoided the issue. The North Korea depicted in this drama just does not exist.

/SPOILER. It is a satire, an exaggeration. North Korea does not have any brand new Jaguar speeding in front of the Kims' pictures on the main road downtown city. It does not have any Jaguar parked in the mud right in the middle of a millitary village for days. There is no new brand Range Rover with a (twice) stolen wiper next to a old dated truck. There is no village of the military families. Most of the time, they would live in barracks closed from the outside just like in any military facility. There is no trucks looking like they are from a Mad Max movie. Things are purposely grotesque because this drama is not about telling any truth. It just has a lot of mockery for systems but a lot of affection for people, should they be from NorthK or SouthK. Notice how Se Ri makes jokes about the reunification. It is because beyond the silly or dramatic or unrealistic aspects brought to entertain, it wants to focus on what the korean people really want and the dream they have deep inside of their heart.

This is why it can portray Captain Ri as a nice guy caring for his fellow soldiers who care for him personaly. He is uncompromising but sympathetic for poor children in his village and he is falling for a south korean woman who felt into his arms. And now they kissed! In a real North Korean world, he would be brought to the firing squad. So personally I don't think there is any problem they are developing his character this way. / END SPOILER

She is so weak. She won't survive the struggle after she marries Fan Xian. Maybe she dies on the wedding day.

They won't end together. It's impossible. Even for Kdramaland.
If you agree to the same condition... It's a deal.

It's early to say this after just 2 episodes... but the ending of ep 2 makes me think that it's possible for them…
I like your hypothesis. A reunited Korean peninsula would be fun. But I guess him quitting the Army to become an internatioonal musician and she goes to cheer for him, that's more likely. I just have the feeling they won't end together. This won't have a happy ending. An open ending maybe.

But that's not the style of this drama. No alien and no mermaid. Only an officer dedicated to his duty and his country and a woman who wants to make money and give a lesson to her family. Of course, If you wish for some green E.T in a saucepan to take them to a planet full of love and water... you can ask the writers do it.

You mean King 2 Hearts? Nah... Can't be silly like that... I bet in the end , they say goodbye on the DMZ line and look at each other and smile and then... it's the end.

Hell no they can't. He is a son of a prominent North Korean family with lots of advantages. I get he is nice and wants to uncover the truth about the death of his brother. Sure. But if he defects to the south to be with her, Uncle Kim will have his dad the minister cut in pieces with a rocket ok? And she is a chaebol 's heireiss. She will never abandon everything including a last brand new earings to live with him in the village of military to peddle in order have electricity and watch TV ok? So no. They are never going to end together.

i think they're still stuck in early 2010s era of park shin hye's mediocre acting
She sucked in Memories of the Alhambra too... The only dramas she was good in were You're Beautiful and Pinocchio.
