I understand that maybe in your country it is weird socially, culturally but in Japan like in Europe and many US states and most of the countries of the world where the information is available, it is legal to marry your first step cousin. Biologically, scientists agree there is a marginal increase of the risk to bear children with genetics defects but not enough to justify a ban on marriages. This practice has been done for centuries around the world and it is still the case. So if you watch japanese dramas you should try to understand them and put yourself into their shoes so it does not spoil the pleasure of watching for you.

Hehe thanks for your insight. Chinese government do have a lot of narrative they wish to impose. Anyway as an outsider I just wish this be consistent. The drama said the main guy has myasthenia gravis. There are 3 seasons planned. I just hope it stays credible and fun.

I heard it is quite different in the book like he dies and he is reincarnated in the baby's body before the attack. I am not sure and I won't check but I will just stick at the drama. I don't mind it's just a book as long as the story between his present self and his projected self in the book is compelling and consistent.

I thought it was just a story he was writting for a contest to tell about living your life to the fullest if you had the chance to live another life. He places this new life in ancient China and uses modern ideas in it. So there is no time travel or reincarnation. It's just a book.

Too bad he only lasted one episode. He was really smart and funny.
