This drama is set in Joseon era but it promotes very modern ideas on couples and relationships to help viewers to be open minded.

She consumated her marriage the night of her wedding. She said she would be a good wife and good wife bed with their husband the night of the wedding. After she said that, she is seen outside at night alone watching the moon. She did her wife's duty. She was married and a good wife for years. Impossible she did not sleep with her husband for so long when she has no reason to refuse her husband at night.

That translation of korean words into chastity might not be accurate. I agree with you. It's more like people says she has been dirtied by the invaders. Maybe a korean speaking person can clarify.

Plenty of roadlock on the path of their "romance": The Princess and Ryang Eum. That guy has been trying to separate them for years. He does not have the courage to confess and stop his schemes to allow ML to love who he wants to love. As for the Princess, she likes the ML, she is possessive and she will stop at no dirty schemes.

Jang Hyan disappoints me so much. Why ask her to stay with him when he knows she has a husband? After letting all her love feelings flow to her ex-suiter, Gil Chae remembers to go back to her husband to clarify things... Tada! They made him even worse than before. I knew they would dirty him but not with that ridiculous manner haha. The guy has a wife and his going to be a dad!

I thought that the main couple would survive in the end but the ending is better than expected for me.

I wish to know how she built that house on her island but I am also glad that they did not drag the story of her exile. Maybe we will see later some scenes with her time on the island.

ML is ML like it was in Start up but maybe she will end up with the SML...

I think it is a huge spoiler as it gives away one of the main reason of the feelings and actions of Ki Ho. Someone who has not watched it yet should not be informed of that beforehand. It spoils the experience.

Pretty sure Jung Ki Ho will have a different name later. No romance tag here on MDL but romance is likely.

Not sure if we will see them again in flashbacks but they were really good in the first ep.

First ep is so good. It is fast paced but it has everything. A solid backstory with endearing teen characters and emotional moments. Can't wait for ep2.

The way you present it, it looks like all actors are paid after each episode and they are all paid the same amount for every drama they are in. In reality the production presents its project to the actor and they negociate a global amount of acting fees based on the project. An actor can play in a 12 episodes drama and earn 1.5 million and he can play in another 20 episodes drama and earn 1 million. Different actors receive different fees on a drama and on other dramas they will be on.

Of course, it is always possible to say 1 million/20eps, the actors is paid 50 000 per episode. But for the actor, what matters is his global acting fees that he negociated beforehand in contracts that even determine changes in the fees if there are additional episodes, or cancelled episodes or if the drama is cancelled or renewed or has reshoots and so on. Some actor can even refuse by contract to play in additional episodes because they are booked on other works already.

This is why actors have agents and lawyers. To foresee and arrange all this beforehand for them. The result is they receive an agreed acting fee by contract that is not always correlated with the number of episodes that were shot.
