I am just saying that for me, a kdrama in Joseon era who has a FL who is married but is meddling with her ex-suitor that does not match with the law, habits and customs. Rarely saw that from leading characters in other historical kdramas I watched. Even if this kind of thing probably happened, it does not sit well for me as it puts a bad light on the lead characters ‘morality.
Plenty of elements in the drama look more or less realistic but I can accept them because it is not prejudicial to the way I see the main leads. I enjoyed part One despite all the unlikely things compared to Joseon Era. That Era probably never had a man like ML or a young woman like the FL. But it was a coherent, acceptable, fun, and entertaining.
The fact that they made her marry a nobody out of gratefulness and duty when she was so strong headed to only marry a man she loves, it was a joke. It brings nothing to the story but just serves as a cheap roadblock between the leads.
I do not expect much from the romance part. They look like silly cheaters who are backtracking on the first choice they made. Maybe there is a reason for that? Maybe it is preparing viewers to see them in even more "unconventional" ways and methods? This romance part is a failed version of "Gone with the wind". In that story, Scarlett married twice and was twice a widow. There was no morality issue compared to the awful "runaway wife/bad husband/infatuated ex-suitor" setting in this drama.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. But for me she did not fall in love again with her first love. She did not sleep with him. She did not expect a new chance and a new life with him. She just did what was required to be next to him for the investigation.
The fact that her good feelings and memories were revived and Ki Chul became important for her again and she was desparate to see him dying does not mean she is trash. She is human and humans are not robots to control all their emotions and feelings.

You are seeing things with your 2023 eyes. In that era, husbands had all powers on their wife. If they knew their wife loved another man, voluntarily slept with another man, it did not matter they were good or bad husband, they could just have her punished. They could even kill her and just get away with a fine.
This characterization of the FL as a married woman meddling with he ex suitor is just wrong.
I agree with you. From the get go, there is little romance, cute moments and moments of understanding, caring…
Regarding the investigation, if we talk about realistic situation, the police officer leading the investigation looked very incompetent always trailing behind. They should not have used the wife in the same undercover mission. She should have been removed with a pretext.
Eui Jeong is not a cheater for me. She is a decent person but fate played a huge joke on her. I kind of feel sorry for her. I do not know if she deverses the ML or SML but she sure lost both of them.
Many people give the stick to Eui Jeong. Why so mad at her? Eui Jeong has a rather sad story. They all do. It…
Eui Jeong fell in Love for the first time, but she lost that love tragically. Then she tried to move on and a guy at the police academy asks her out. He is a decent guy so she marries him, but the marriage is not going smoothly. Her social class and status is better than his. They have no kids. Her family look down on him... Years later, she meets her first Love again and plays bf gf with him because of the job and she flinches showing she is emotionally more attached to her first love than to her husband.
She just did not love her husband enough. Her feelings were not strong enough and she was swayed after meeting her first love again. Looking at her face in the last images of her, totally saddened, I am pretty sure she regrets what happened. She lost her first love and her last love symbolized by her church necklace and JM's ring resting on a tombstone.
how is she unfaithful when she did the same thing he did?
I do not think ML and FL cheated on their spouse with the other person. FL just let her past feelings for Ki Chul overwhelm her and it caused a disruption in the trust between the husband and wife, leading to them to separate.
Jung Gaechul was a drug dealer and a Gangster, who knows how many kills where under his belt before he reached…
Thats romanticization of the gangsters. This used to be done a lot in asian movies and dramas. The gangster is a criminal but he has the heart of a good boy who became a thug and a mafia boss because of the environment...
In the drama, Ki Chul's infatuation for FL leads him to take terrible decisions. It's not realistic but it's the choice of the writer. Overall, I thought his character was endearing despite his flaws and crimes.
Ji Chang Wook is one of my favourites but does anybody else find his character in this extremely unlikeable? definitely…
I have sympathy for the ML. He is not a great guy. He has his flaws but tried something to improve and fate played a joke on him. It reunited his wife with her ex. I do not hate her. I kind of pity her. She lost her husband because her heart was not strongly set on him. Ki Chul's ending was sad but the logical consequence of his choices.
This is the best drama ever! Everything was Top Notch!!!!! I love the divorce the most. From my point of view;…
I agree with you. From the get go, there is little romance, cute moments and moments of understanding, caring and affection between the ML and FL. On the contrary there are more between FL and SML. This suggest that for the FL, her first love was very important and even if she dated afterwards and married, the investigation showed that her feelings and her couple were not so strong. She showed emotions that revealed not that she was in love again with her ex but that she was not so in love and committed with her husband.
But he has his responsibilities too. He accepted the job to be promoted and equal his wife in rank. He wanted a better situation with his marriage and her family. He also during the investigation did not communicate well with his wife. Maybe he was too immersed to do it correctly and sit with her. Maybe these two alreday did not have a strong marriage.
Park jun mo always loved his wife euijeong but seeing changes in her behaviour he became sure that she have started…
Eui Jeong is the reason Jun Mo accepted the undercover mission and her behavior created a misunderstanding that led to what we know now. for me Joon Mo stayed emotionally and physically fatihful to his wife despite developing an affection for miss Lee.
As the bodyguard said, maybe after some time, she will go find the man she trusts.
To me, it doesnt make sense. He let GiCheul go.. then when GiCheul looks like hes about to commit suicide, Junmo…
He shoots him so he can have a warrior's death. Not a coward's death thinking they would suffer thinking of him when he committed suicide and will go to hell.

Hope the rest will be good.

It is not so easy as who is bad and who is good. They all have qualities and flaws. Events, choices, and emotional bonds led them to that ending.
