Considering the tone, I am pretty sure it will be a very happy ending.
I dropped 2521 because it was evident at some time that ML and FL would not end up together and I did not like that. I do not sense the same thing here. I am 100% confident Eun Gyeo + Eun Yu and Yi Chan+Cheong Ah.
Wait so the mom, Choi Se Kyeong told her daughter that her first love sang a song at the festival for her, but…
Logically the spring festival Eun Yu's mom attended and fell in love with her first live is not the one her daughter is going to attend. Eun Yu is deluded.
ARE THEY STUPIDDDDD? LIKE HE LITERALLY TOLD HER HE SAW HER FUTURE AND ASKED IF SHE SOLD HER CELLO AT THE TIME…
I like that Eun Gyeol's bro told him he should let himself fall in love he and he kisses that girl who is his dad's first love and an ajhumma he met at age 18... :D
Yi Chan is so loud and reckless. I like how he falls for Cheong Ah but I cannot fathom how this kind of guy becomes such a silent, reasonable and thoughtful dad...
It is really good. Love how things are progressing between Eun Gyeol and Eun Yu while they are totally mistaken about who the other person is. I imagine many ways on how they will discover each other's background. Hope it won’t disappointing. Yi Chang is yelling too much for my taste but his story with Cheong Ah is so cute...
In 2023, 25% of the married couple encounter cheating. So to look the other way or not, it is a reality of the society anyway. People just must deal with it as most of the time, it is not illegal.
But in Joseon era and these older times, even if there was cheating and infidelity, it was illegal for married couple. It could lead to fines, severe physical punishment or even death. This is why in this historical drama, it does not sit well for me.
No matter bad the husband is, he can ignore her or beat her, the fact is they are married. If ML and FL have a love relationship, it is cheating and infidelity. If they sleep together, it is adultery. If they marry... Well they cannot. She is already married.
It is not that I am stuck on the legal part. The legal aspect is a full part of the story.
Ep9 was crazy but still fun with all the misunderstanding. I have a concern though. Does Eun Yu has a bird's brain?
How can she conclude that the guy who will sing a serenade to her at the festival is her mother's first love? She is not her mother. Her mother was in the USA at the time of this festival and she never attended it. She was probably talking about another Spring festival during which she fell in Love.
I am wondering if this is a mistake in the writing or if they are going to explain to us later.
It does not matter how the officer married her. She agreed to marry him and his actions and choices do not make the marriage invalid and it does not allow her to cheat. If she is not happy, she should go to him and ask for a divorce.
For me it makes no sense that they put a husband between these two. The romance is flawed because of this. It is extramarital affair. First time I watch an historical kdrama where a married woman is emotionally embroiled with another man and doesn't respect her married status.
Back then people mostly married in arranged marriage. But she married by choice. She chose not to run away with the man she thought was dead and to marry the officer out of gratefulness and duty. She should keep taking responsibility of the choice she made and go back to her husband without caring about her former suitor.
I am just not feeling it, the way they are reconnecting because she is a married woman. It is like she is backtracking on her choice and her feelings are taking over when she is still officially married to another man.
Also this make me disappointed about the ML. How can he be so smart and cunning but he is silly because of a married woman. When a woman is married, you should just stay away from her.
Do people really think it is romantic that an older suitor rekindle feelings with a married woman? I guess the writers are going to make the husband more and more dirty to make it look acceptable.
We do not know the intentions of the husband so we cannot justify the FL's action based on speculations we make on what the husband intents to do. Honestly it would be ridiculous writing if he sent someone to kill his wife because she ran away or was help captive. It is ridiculous enough that the husband suddenly turned a jealous moronic guy after she was abducted.
She chose to marry the officer on her own accord. She was married and his good wife for years. She never loved the officer but still marriage is an instution to respect. She should just go back to him as this is what a good wife should do when she has no news of her husband. But instead, she is meddling with her former suitor.
I am just saying for me it is not a nice and moving romance because she is formally married. Now I am still curious about what they are going to do in the war and how they can save their country. It is just that romance wise, I do not like married people involved in extramarital "things". I do not find it appealing.
I do not ask her to stay single. I just ask her to not marry for wrong reasons. She married for wrong reasons when she was bragging she would only marry a man she loves. She never changed. Her words were one thing. Her dutiful side was another thing. ML just missed it.
Thank you for you comment. I like exchanging opinions. But when people start to question my abilities and make things personal, this is where I block them. You are being blocked.
