I like her as an actress. She is talented. These two are among my fav South Korean actors but I have to say this pairing leaves me skeptical. Will also try it though.

Park Joon Mo started to have affection for Mrs Lee but not necessarily Love. He was just genuine with her, and this is why he told her to go to HK so save her from being arrested. That moved her because she made it look like a joke, but she really liked him.

As for the FL, I never thought that she really loved her husband. She was barely affectionate with him. But I also don't think that she loved SML after meeting him again. I think she did her duty as a wife and as a cop but because SML was her first love, she showed a lot of concern for him, and this did not sit well for the ML...

The start of all this is that his wife's family was belittling him and maybe his marriage was shaky already. He took this risky job to be promoted and change that situation. But the investigation revealed his wife's first love, and she was doing things that put him at risk and she was never clearly on his side until the final outcome.

Why not. The ending suggests there is a possible way for these two.

I am too. The final was underwhelming.

I do not think the FL liked the SML. At some stage she was ready to kill him. I think all this investigation put a huge toll on ML and he learnt things about his wife that shaked his trust in them being a couple. She asked him "Can we go back to what we were". It means for her, despite how she behaved with the SML like worrying so much about him after he was shot by her husband instead of calling for emergencies herself, she still wanted to be back with her husband. But for him, it was too much, and he chose to part ways with her. The way she looked at him walking out of the graduation room, she clearly regretted what happened, but he had made his decision. That experience changed him to the point he needed a reset.

Pictures are good. Hope the story is good too.

This is were the problem is. Even if her husband is an A hole, she is still married and it does not make her meddling with her ex suiter anything romantic, cute or morally acceptable especially in Joseon era.

She freely decided to marry her husband and they were happily married. So, she should go back to him and solve her situation instead of caring for her ex suitor. Her husband suddenly becoming a petty jealous man who does not know how to react appropriately to the disappearance of his wife is ridiculous characterization.

This is a cheap way to justify the actions of the ML and FL meddling with each other when they do not know the actions of the husband. Only the viewers know. The writers will keep making him a fake roadblock until he is killed so ML and FL relationship will become morally acceptable.

Yes let's see. But so far a married woman meddling with her former suitor... well it does not look good.

Gil Chae is married and Ryang Eum is beyond redemption. I love the princess. She is a nutcase and deluded but at least she knows in what boots she stands in. As for the husband I do not care. The writers will make him ugly because it is the only way to make ML and FL's extramarital affair look acceptable.

Gil Chae is a married woman in Joseon time and not in 2023. LOL!

haha. Agree. They dirtied the husband out of the blue so that the extramarital affair looks good. How I wish the husband was weak but died in battle.

For me ML wanted to teach sign language to his mom so she can communicate with people, make friends and smile. It does not imply that she will communicate with her dad. As for the step mom, she wants him to be isolated for a month and leave.

Big chances she is... Curious about how the brothers will resolve it if it is the case....

Logically Se Kyeong never came back to South Korea and the Spring festival she was talking about to her daughter when she fell in love with her first Love was another one. Also Ji Hwan her husband went to the USA and married her and they had Eun Yu as a daughter but her first Love, it is not clear what happened to him.

No it was not theory or interpretation. It was blatant they would not end up together. I am glad I dropped this. At least I did not waste my time.

If you do not trust me, rewatch it. Then you will know when the FL's daughter talks about ML like he is a stranger and he is her mom's friend but she knows her dad's face and name... and when FL's mom talk about ML like he is living his own life, you will understand from there..

ML and FL would not end up husband and wife and the girl is not their daughter. So for me, it was failed first love and I was right.

It's ok. Better break up than staying together for the wrong reasons. Plenty of fishes in the sea. Good luck to the both of them.

To me it was evident. FL's daughter in present timeline never considered ML as her father while she knew the content of her mom's diary and FL's mom in present timeline said that she recently met ML randomly and he was doing something like he had his own life. From that it was clear ML and FL did not end up together. I dropped the show noticing this and its ending just confirmed what was evident.

If you pay attention to the FL's daughter, how she finds her mom's diary and how in her reality her mom's friend Baek Yi Jin is nowhere in her life and how her grandma talked about that friend of her mom... You can guess they do not end up together...
