Lol, I love the fact that he loves money. He kind of reminds me of Mr. Krabs from Spongebob lol. Like the way he talks about it - he's probably my 3rd favorite character. Master still is better in my opinion :) lol.
So, in an interview on CCTV, Tang Jia San Shao (original author of Douluo Continent) - said he wanted to present a different form of the novel. So, I guess that is why the drama differs from the anime/novel - the author gave his stamp of approval for it. And it seemed they never intended to make it true to source from the very beginning & actually wanted alterations.
I mean I still understand that people might be disappointed from the deviations from the original source even if the author wanted it. But their original intentions seems to want something different & not a true reenactment. The author even said its easy for an animation to reenact the novel but it's improbable for a live action to do so.
They start training & you get to see their powers more. I also love the Headmaster - like omg he is so funny. Especially when he was all teary eyed because FLAME ON! guy was talking about how to make money lol. I was like this man & money. Seriously you could see his eyes all watery - had me dying lol.
Okay, so episode 18 - 23 is available for advanced paid screening. But if your like me & live in the states - you can use a VPN (like Windscribe) & choose country as Thailand. Each episode is a dollar - upto you completely if you want to see it or just wait. Just wanted to put it out there.
I am really enjoying the subtle comedy in the show lol. Ou Si Ka, yes he is a complete fool, but this man had me dying when he starting throwing sausages & kiwi at the spirit beast lol. Like ummm are we now feeding the monster or fighting it lol.

I think your right about the cultural differences. Being in America - I tend not to see cute female characters but maybe like bratty or just MEAN lol. Overall most female characters in American shows have a good character & personality (in my opinion). But this cuteness character seems to be like the main persona for female characters in C-dramas. I have only just started watching C-Dramas so there could be some dramas which don't but from the one's I have seen they tend to really hammer in the cutesy stick. And also I feel like they get the same person to dub each female character - like how is it all these female characters got the same high pitched girly voice.
Tough female characters are the best - like even Rong Rong who isn't strong exactly but I am starting to really like her character. Even though she is bratty she actually stays by her friends side. I respect that in a character & she doesn't act cute really. Glad she doesn't act cute or is voiced by some overly bubbly character like Xiao Wu is. Like every time I think I might like her - she opens her mouth & starts acting like a baby. And I am like yup still hate her.

I don't really know how it works - but from what I see on weibo. Majority of the shows are on today - Beijing, Dragon, CCTV even has one again & I think other stations as well.
CCTV & Beijing are both prerecorded shows though but Dragon should be live. But let's see. XZ Studio already posted a lot of pictures of his outfits for those events lol. Besides for the live event the other 2 already have pictures up.
Those spider legs looked absolutely freaking amazing. Like dude!!! I love that there is so much mystery now - every character got some kind of secret. It's better to ask who doesn't have a secret at this point lol.

I never understood why so many dramas/anime have females being just this cute like character. Like I am a female & I do not act like that lol. And almost none of my friends act like that as well - so it's just weird seeing it portrayed on TV. Zhu Qing is a great female character - like I love that she just wants to have a hand in her own life & not have someone else choose her path. She also knows that she isn't that strong but is trying to make herself stronger by working hard. Xiao Wu - is just . . . . I don't even know lol. Like she is strong which is great but then she talks like a baby - especially around Tang San. That is why I am like please let there be no romance between these 2 characters (even though I know it is inevitable).
I have noticed that lol. A lot of people in the comment section don't really like Ao Si Ka - which I can understand but I guess we both just like the foolishness of him lol.
Totally agree his power is pretty amazing - aside for the chant lol. Also seems like he can cure multiple people at once since all he has to do really is yell SAUSAGE POWER (ROFL, I know that isn't it but let's condense it lol) & TA DA the person gets healed. I also think its cool he can allow people to fly. And the time limit of 15 minutes - like damn that is impressive. Usually it would be like 1 - 5 minutes before the power fades. Overall, he definitely is a great support. Rong Rong's support is also impressive for like direct fighting. Overall the group has 2 great support people.
Yea like when they were leaving the forest - she was actually really reluctant even though she knew she was a support. Kind of showed me that she isn't a bad person & she did care for them - she is just a little too spoiled, probably from all the years she has been babied by her parents lol. Like even now she is just being pampered by Ao Si Ka - which that man needs to quit it. Like let her carry her own things or she will never learn, no one else is treating her like that except for him.

To be honest - this is just me but I didn't think the CGI was that terrible in the Untamed lol. But I guess since I watch a lot of old horror movies - I am probably a bad person to ask about CGI lol.

That incident had nothing to do with him directly - like I have seen scandals before with celebrities that actually directly did horrible stuff. And they haven't gotten the amount of hate he has. OJ Simpson literally killed people & the man still got book deals. The whole thing is ridiculous to me. But I am going to stop - like you said let's just ignore haters. I think its the yelling that gets me lol - maybe I would be able to handle the sausage but why must you yell about it. Like the scene where the Wolf Guy is also in the forest and he just randomly hears him scream about his sausage (*face palm*) even he is like what kind of monster is that lol. I was crying lol!! Oh jeez lol. A big & a small one - yup I probably would prefer death lol. Especially after he whips it out of a weird container.
I kind of realized it was because they were supporting branch people that she seemed found of him because she mentions supporting branch like A LOT lol. But I thought because of her personality ( a little snobby/princess like) she would still want to make fun of him. But I think I started to realize that she is snobby but her personaltiy isn't bad - like she isn't mean in general. Just likes to be pampered.
I agree, the plot needs to move a little faster. I understand they need to kind of introduce all the characters…

But Daphne still is annoying lol - except for maybe the live action (at times!). Dude! Scooby-Doo was also my favorite cartoon & I also have a plush pillow of Scooby but I bought it rofl! The plush I won at Dave & Busters was a stewie doll from Family Guy lol!!
Yea I think I stopped watching before the SML got revenge so I didn't see the turn for the worse lol. Like I said kind of was off putting when I found out that the relationship between FL & SML was just going to stay stagnant or just disappear altogether. I didn't dislike the ML but just thought the SML did a better job & his story was definitely more heart wrenching. But ur saying he went all Darth Vader on everyone - probably would still be on his team lol. I just didn't see a huge character development for the ML to make me invested in him.
That is global warming for you - climate has turned really bad so can believe it. Especially with like the forest fires in Cali. But that is cool that your a scuba diver - I am getting images of Jaws/Deep Blue Sea now though lol. Hopefully you can book a flight this year for your birthday.

I completely understand what you mean by not used to social interactions. I kind of realized that she was raised in the woods & away from the human world - but, this is just my opinion, I don't feel like you have to be cute & perky just because you had no human contact lol. Like I think of Tarzan - I don't see him bouncing about & stuff if anything if your away from the human world I feel you would be less talkative (but again my opinion lol). I just feel like this has been a troupe for a lot of C-Dramas where they make the female lead extensively super cute to the point where she is just annoying.
But again, I have a total disdain for cute characters lol. So that is just a weird preference that probably will hinder me from having an open mind about her lol. I do like Zhu Qing though - definitely one of the better female characters written.

I completely agree! Some C-dramas have a bit of a lack luster performance when it comes to CGI - but it is understandable since their budget is probably not that high. But Douluo definitely as an impressive CGI team - none of the designs made me cringe or go that looks a bit off. I am glad for that because I feel like these types of shows kind of bank on the CGI.
