I keep thinking there's a bug on Calvin's neck in ep 6 but it's just a beauty mark lol
Because of your comment I went back just to examine his neck lol. And now I look like a weirdo examining someones neck to see what beauty mark lol. Am I blind? Or just not looking at the right place lol.
Your comment for the win! Your explaination is the main reason why I tend to not watch a lot of fantasy type dramas…
Yea I agree. I remember with the Untamed I was also confused with the story in the beginning but it was still captivating enough that I continued watching it. And eventually after 10 or so episodes the story really picked up & I started loving it. That is why I think it is ridiculous to make a drastic opinion on a drama after only 7 episodes. Like how much can you honestly tell within that time span - besides for maybe the foundation. Even when you watch a 2 hour movie you can't tell if its good or bad from the first 25 minutes (7 of 40 is about 18% so 20% of 2 hours would be approximately 25 minutes lol)
Looks like a lot of people had a bad feeling when he revealed that bit of information to her.
OHHH that is actually interesting information. I did not know that about the Xuan Tian records - I guess they really had to pass the censorship board & did their best to find an alternative to get those record in without using reincarnation. I think they did a good job than getting it in with the limited alternatives.
Yea I figured she would have a secret - since she was able to get to those soul beasts and obtain power from them. I thought maybe because she was raised by soul beasts herself lol. But I guess I will find out as the series progresses.
Thank you for letting me know about the differences from the novel & drama though :). Appreciated.
I loved that scene as well. And that she was the one who kicked one of the dudes made it even more funny to me.…
Rofl that is definitely true. The way Tang San portrays his "bad assery" just makes it even better though - like the way he said "she isn't going to go". I was like okay BAD ASS we see you. Please do tell them who is Boss lol.
One of my favorite scenes so far from this drama is in Episode 3 when the bully decides to harass Xiao Wu & Tang San just smoothly walks in between them. Asks Xiao Wu if she wants to go & Tang San with some extra attitude goes "she doesn't want to go with you". At that moment I was like "COME AT HIM" - give Tang San a reason to knock you on your butt.
Okay so there are alot of trolls here. A few people especially are spamming the comment section like crazy. Anyways…
It is funny you say that about the book thing. I thought the same thing as well when it happened. I was like STOP don't do it - she might be a big mouth & just tell everyone. I honestly preferred it if he told his Master & not her because clearly he seems to care about him. Yes he is trying to prove his theory but he has protected him on several occassions even at the risk of his own life. So I think he deserves to know some of his secrets - especially since even his father trusts the Master.
1 episode per day for free and 2 if you have vip access
Viki surprisingly is going the same pace as Tencent VIP members. So you also are getting 2 episodes a day. Only difference is that they take about a day to get the English Subs up compared to Tencent VIP which is the same minute it gets released.
• The World of Fantasy : the world building doesn't get explained properly in the beginning, fast paced and…
Your comment for the win! Your explaination is the main reason why I tend to not watch a lot of fantasy type dramas because they tend to never explain anything properly or they do it in such a muddle type of way that it goes over your head.
I am grateful that the production/story writer decided to take their time & actually explain things to the common audience. I understand this drama has a loyal fan base from the novel/anime but not everyone is going to be from that group (like myself). And I really don't want to watch a show blind without any type of foundation. And this type of show you need to know at least the basic concept of the world or your just gonna keep going "HUH".
I also think it is just 7 episodes (& 6 of those would be considered world building episodes) so it will be hard to get a concrete answer to "Is this drama good?"
Isn't that the truth? I honestly have to skip those emotional scenes from XZ because he does it too well. And this time he is voicing it which I feel makes it even more emotional.
I feel that he grabs a script & sees a scene with tons of pain & goes "yes this is the one I want".
I have to disagree about TS being a coward here. Sure he wasn't all calm and collected, like he supposedly is…
Yes I love that they added comedy into the show - it doesn't seem forced but organic which is better for the transition of the story. I hope it doesn't disappoint you lol. I know so far the first 6 episodes were about world building - so I haven't really cared about the plot because I been too focused on how everything works. But I guess for someone who has seen it all probably wishes they moved on with the actual plot. Totally understandable.
I hope the "new version" of douluo is to your liking :) or at least shows you something different from the actual novel.
Are you talking about the departing scene from his father? Because if you are, I totally understand - I swear Xiao Zhan loves giving pain. When he started crying I was like yup - this is about to hit me in the feels.
I just saw a BTS clip of Xiao Zhan acting like he was getting electrocuted during the cage scene. He was literally holding air & acting like he was getting electrocuted while he was holding onto his plants. That is . . . . just amazing! I really thougt he would be at least holding onto something, like a fake vine or something.
Okay so finished with my first five episodes and lol I had no clue that china believes in dropping so many episodes…
This is nothing lol. A certain drama actually released all 49 episodes all on the same day. Having only 5 episodes in a span of 3 days is actually a quite slow release in my experience. I usually see shows release like 4 episodes a day!
I have to disagree about TS being a coward here. Sure he wasn't all calm and collected, like he supposedly is…
I like your understanding of the drama - since it seems you have seen/read the original source. Clearly you seem to be disappointed at certain aspects but are still willingly to look pass it & give the drama a chance :). I personally can't compare but I think the pacing is done well & it could be fillers for a original source person but I feel for someone like me those episodes are required since I might be lost without them lol. Hopefully you like the drama as the series progresses :)
