Sadly because this drama is supposed to air on Hunan TV - it will probably take a while because they have their own schedules & probably a huge list of dramas waiting to air just like Oath of Love.
For reference, there was a drama that aired on Hunan TV at the end of January 2020 but was filmed from September 2018 to November 2018 (Oath of Love finished filming November 2019). So, this isn't anything new - we just have to patiently wait when it is Oath of Love's time to shine. (Also, the pandemic probably caused a lot of delays as well)
Overall, I think this drama will be amazing because of the beautiful performance by Yang Zi & Xiao Zhan at the Tencent Awards. :D Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIU61IEZydQ
I heard the douyin for Oath of Love was verified. Usually when that happens it means the show is going to be released soon(-ish). So hopefully we will see Dr. Gu & Mrs. Gu in the very near future :D!
If you can't wait until the coming up Tuesday for Youku - there are some really nice people on Twitter that took…
What is with new content like 4 times a week lol? I am not complaining but it is getting difficult to catch up to all the updates. I also follow that person on twitter XD!! She is such a sweet/cute xFx - I love her comments on Xiao Zhan (very informative!).
I don't want to wish for anything else - might jinx it lol. Should quit while I am ahead. But let's get ready for new content today :D!
ICYMI, Xiao Zhan's Weibo update from 1/12/21 had photographs of his hometown Chongqing and a beautifully written…
Reading the essay he really is intricate with the way he weaves his words together. The way he describes things in such a beautiful tone and capturing the feelings he has for his city in order to convey it to others. This is what makes him different from others & breaks that conventional mold, at least for me. As much as I enjoy his acting/singing & how much effort he puts into it - I love the insight he gives others in what those roles mean to him. It truly shows that what he is doing isn't just a job but his passion.
Grateful to those that translated his words so international fans can also have an insight to those moments.

It was definitely an amazingly detailed episode - learned a lot about the city & how intricate the landscape was & how they used it to their benefit. Definitely wished it was longer though!!
I just finished watching the Chongqing episode & it was so beautifully illustrated. I enjoyed that they used true Chongqing-er's in the documentary to show their daily lives.
They also showed sites that maybe not even a lot of Chongqing-er's knew about, while living their. Sometimes when going to a specific city people tend to visit only sites that are "main attractions" but never truly dive into what makes that city; such as the areas which are off the beaten path. This would include the railway bookstore - which was an absolutely intricate site. It was a site that was inviting to all those that came. Be it if you were a stranger or even a stray cat or dog - all were welcome & had a place to stay & have something to do. The people there were so kind & open - they would sometimes just come to feed the stray animals that would reside there.
The city had different kinds of terrain from the mountains to the underground area. The underground portion was absolutely fascinating - especially the way they used it. The underground used to be used for air raids but since that is no longer a threat during the current times they converted them to an underground mall.
Overall, I think they did a great job showcasing Chongqing within an hour time frame. I wished it was a bit longer so they could include more information but within the limited time capacity you definitely get to learn a lot about the beauty of Chongqing.
Aint nobody here have the link to his episode in Marvelous City?
If you can't wait until the coming up Tuesday for Youku - there are some really nice people on Twitter that took time out to sub the episode for us. I think @XiaoZhan_tv might release the episode today so just wait for them to release it :D.
Very true - now I don't even know anymore if it is gonna be today or next week but I guess we will wait until it does air. I really hope it is today because I really want to watch it :D!!! They released all those teasers just for us to wait weeks to get the content - that would be cruel (lol)!
I might also just watch his episode - if I have time maybe I will watch the other episodes but at a later date.
does anyone know when any of his new dramas are coming out??
No, sorry :/. The negatives of all Chinese dramas is that there is no set date, EVER! Which can get annoying but you also get used to it lol.
They tend to drop shows either the same day or tell the air dates a few days before. There are of course rumored dates but they tend to be wrong; very rarely are they ever correct. I had to learn that the hard way lol.
However, if not just come back to this page - and post a comment. A lot of the people on this page are very kind & will most likely be able to find where you can find the episode. :)
It's a show on Youku that will start airing on January 5th. It will showcase multiple cities - for example Chongqing - and kind of show you around the area, culture, etc. of the specific place. I believe each city will get 2 episodes. I don't know which episode Xiao Zhan will be on - I don't think they stated it just yet.
Seems like a documentary in a sort of the city itself - because they will also include the history of the city for the week. I hope I was able to explain it well.
It is rumored Xiao Zhan will be on Dragon TV New Year's Eve Performance - So if anyone wants to take the chance & watch, it will begin at 7:30 pm (China Time)
If you have CCTV app you can also watch it there - just make sure to click Dragon TV (they have multiple channels for the NYE celebration)
Also on Tencent/Wetv app. There is a big banner with Xiao Zhans face when you open the app - just click it :)!
Take it easy. Bo Wang has his reason. A very good one.
Your perspective actually makes sense. I think you have to have a different mind set to understand the love story & it might not be for everyone. That's probably why the comment section is divided between liking Prince Bo & disliking the approach to his methods of affection. I personally thought there was chemistry when they were being affectionate but the numerous times they were being toxic with one another just was too much. It made me just think MZX was okay with anything Prince Bo did to her as long as he never left her - which in my opinion is the definition of toxic.
Definitely, sometimes it's cute to end up with your first love but other times the Second Male Lead might be the better option. I feel like its bad story telling if your reasoning behind your love is that he/she was the "first". This is the main reason why I also dislike romance genre - because you already know who the person is going to end up with so where is the suspense in finding out who ends up with who.
Take it easy. Bo Wang has his reason. A very good one.
I agree with your comment! Exactly how I feel about the whole Prince Bo & Emperor situation. He knew that what his father was doing is wrong and hurting the woman he loves but besides for trying to fight the true issue he tries to push MZX out hoping that maybe she would stop loving him. Which I feel like is no longer possible the moment she found out he was Wolf Boy. And his concept of trying to help her seemed really weird - how are you helping her by pushing her out the door. You are making her fend for herself with the Emperor trying to kill her or manipulate her - so whats the goal exactly? Like okay fine your helping her fend for herself but then why capture her in a prison with no way of getting her out. It shows a lack of undestanding when it comes to the term "help" because she has no way out. Only with the help of Ji Chong did she truly get out & escape - & there is no way Prince Bo knew Ji Chong was going to do that. If I had to pick who helped MZX more - it would definitely be Ji Chong. She obtained help from the Ji empire because of him and found out her true identity due to him. Prince Bo just kept pushing her away - unsuccessfully at that.
I feel the relationship between Prince Bo & MZX is just toxic - I understand you love each other but there should be a limit to how much a person can over look before they realize they are not a good fit. I really hate the concept that your first love has to be the end goal - that is not how real life works. Seldom does anyone truly end with the person they "fell in love" with first - but yet movies/dramas show that first loves are ever lasting.
Take it easy. Bo Wang has his reason. A very good one.
I know he does. But I feel he is sacrificing everything - but he could just talk to MZX & maybe resolve the issue together. After all they do have a common enemy - so why not be together and work towards eradicating that enemy.
Prince Bo at it again -_-. This man really is the King of Misunderstandings, it's like he prefers to use action over words. He saves Ma Zha Xing from the battle in episode 37 & takes her away. BUT besides for explaining the situation to her he tries to keep the facade of yea "I hate you" but for some reason I am trying my best to protect you but I hope you don't catch on. And he really loves trying to assault her - why did he have to force her to take her clothes off besides for just stating "hey the heat is bad for your body, maybe take a layer off". Instead he psychologically scars Ma Zha Xing into thinking the worse - like someone face palm me because I am tired of face palming myself.
Ji Chong! Thank you for being smart, because between Prince Bo & Ma Zha Xing there is really a lack of common sense in the show. Ji Chong telling Prince Bo that his act is really bad & he should stop acting like he hates her when he truly cares for her. He also caught on what Prince Bo has been upto without any explanation.
Also, why is Prince Bo telling everything to Ji Chong, who is his rival - like he is so open about his feelings to him. Excuse me, you aren't in love with Ji Chong - it is Ma Zha Xing you should be telling all this to. She deserves an honest conversation besides for the constant misunderstandings you keep throwing her way. How is he so open to a stranger but can't say a word of this to MZX.
