Communicating nicely is not a trait of Bo Wang. He's not supposed to be a nice person. He's a war machine.
I think I comprehend what your saying - he might be nice but he just can't communicate those kind words in the correct way so it is perceived unjustly. But, the man knew he was being cruel to Ma Zha Xing lol - he purposely said & did those things. I just think it wasn't really a miscommunication error but more wrong decision making on his part. I only watched upto episode 20 & I am sensing there is going to be more wrong decisions as well lol.

Oh, I see. You might be right about that then. I guess I didn't perceive the hostility that kind of environment could have on someone. Well you just made me rethink things, lol. Best part about conversing with people with different perspectives lol - you can have a different view from before.
AvenueX YouTube channel of reviews is boycotting XZ.
I don't know who that is, but from a quick google search & looking at her facebook post - she stated she would stop posting about XZ so she won't get hate from trolls. However, even if she is boycotting him - that is her personal choice & is allowed to do so. She is her own person & can make choices that best suit her but it has nothing to do with XZ. Her not liking him or talking about him should not affect him in any way. If you like him - great; you don't - also great just be mature and don't be a bully.
Yeah, with a promise she will owe him forever. What a man !!!LMAO; ))
Lol, the way I interpreted was that he was never going to see her again so that was why she was going to owe him forever. He probably was also just being petty lol.

I understand the idea of mentioning his upbringing as a wolf. But, remember that for 8 years he was brought up to be a noble and a soldier. His hobby literally is calligraphy, which is as civilized as you can get. Prince Bo is no longer Wolf Boy - yes he might have some attributes but it is quite obvious that he is no longer that person.

I don't agree that he isn't a nice person. Being good in battle and being nice aren't directly correlated. I think his personality is nice. I think episode 19 (or 18, i forgot lol) proved that as well - when Ma Zha Xing said there was no way Prince Bo would abandon the 1st Prince because he is not that type of person. He kept a secret from the 4th prince just so that he could protect him from emotional pain. But his communication skills are definitely bad. Dude needs to stop making decisions that impact both him and Ma Zha Xing - like please talk to her. That is all I ask.
Let me get this straight this man went through this entire plan of trying to get her to hate him. BUT, the plan backfires so badly she finds out that he is her lost friend "Wolf Boy". So, you practically were a total jerk to her for absolutely no reason - exactly why communication should have been his first step; not the "let me get her to hate me, so she will stop loving me" plan. If you’re afraid she is going to find out the truth about the assassination plot then just keep your distance - out of sight out of mind, absolutely no reason to be emotionally abusive. The relationship in general is a total rollercoaster ride - Prince Bo resents her, then loves her, then "hates" her, and now back to loving her again. However, when Prince Bo does show affection towards MZX I think it is quite cute & romantic – wished it stayed like that.
I still like Prince Bo’s character because even though his choices are wrong you know he is having an internal conflict with each choice he makes. I just wished he learned that the decisions he makes never go his way.
Now my favorite part is in episode 19 - Ji Chong why u so petty lol. This man went out of his way to trigger Prince Bo & then just walked away lol. I do like that he realized that he could never compete against Wolf Boy, so he stepped aside & let his love for Ma Zha Xing go.
Like you, I normally hate it when a protagonist being mean to a beloved in the name of "for-your-own-good". But…
You would think he would have learned after he misunderstood her in the beginning. When he believed she betrayed him and got his wolf pack killed & him seriously injured. But yet he is doing the same thing just a few episodes later by believing in a dream & making her life difficult AGAIN. Like talk to her so that you don't make a decision again all by yourself that will affect both of you.
To your 4th point - I do agree. The love portion makes no sense to me. I could say they had a great friendship…
ROFL, your so funny. Electric prices lol. I totally agree with you - I feel that Prince Bo is being cruel to her (of course in his mind for a good reason) but Ma Zha Xing shouldn't just lie down and take it. Especially when Prince Bo was forcing himself on her - it was her that was apologetic (GIRL!!). I am grateful she has Ji Chong because he tells her straight up that she is being delusional. The cave scene is perfect example - he "lies" and says Prince Bo is here and she of course gets excited. But he tells her "why are you so happy, after everything that has happened?". I feel that he is a great friend for her.
I also agree, he definitely is helping those villagers for a reason but that probably will be explained later on. Money is definitely not his priority because in episode 16 he dropped the sack of money at Prince Bo because of how he was treating Ma Zha Xing. I love the duality of Ji Chong - he is funny but also cunning; kind but also manipulative. This could also be just a bias of mine, since I love Xiao Zhan lol. But Ji Chong definitely made me smile/laugh in the little bit I have seen him so far lol.
I agree with you. Bo Wang went way too far with it. I was somewhat surprised Zhai Xing didn't just straight up…
I haven't watched far enough to comment on this lol, only on episode 16 (cries internally lol). It is sad though that it had turned out so toxic because they were doing so good in the beginning. I feel his decision just made both sides hurt and unhappy.
Like you, I normally hate it when a protagonist being mean to a beloved in the name of "for-your-own-good". But…
I feel like most characters are flawed - that is why they have character development. But I just don't think his methods as of episode 16 are right. And the major thing that did bother me is that he wanted her to love him in the beginning (and he knew that his stepfather killed her father). So, why change course and decide that he doesn't want her to love him anymore after she already did. Like why not stop yourself from the very beginning so you wouldn't have to be so cruel to her. That is another reason why I feel that he should have just explained the situation to her & see what happens.
By episode 14, these are a few things that should be mentioned: 1. Xiao Zhan is freaking tall. I thought (from…
To your 4th point - I do agree. The love portion makes no sense to me. I could say they had a great friendship where they trusted each other. However, friendship does not mean lovers overnight. That part is definitely weird. But, I let it go because she loves Prince Bo and she doesn't even know that he is the Wolf Boy (even though they look alike lol). So, her love for him is mainly due to present feelings & not the past.
I also agree, Ji Chong looks absolutely amazing :D. I personally love his facial expressions, especially when he keeps saying "no . .. unless you give me MONEY". We all know what he loves lol. I also thing Ji Chong is a very interesting character. He is known to love money but he is seen giving food & other things to the villagers, so he doesn't love money for himself but to help others. On top of that he is cunning and manipulative when he needs to be.

Right? Prince Bo is trying to distance themselves by being as harsh as possible. And I feel like she almost did try to kill herself by going into the mountains without even telling anyone - she would have died alone even Prince Bo didn't come & find her. Also, if it wasn't for Ji Chong helping her get back on her feet and not wallow in pity & despair she probably would have just given up.
Like you, I normally hate it when a protagonist being mean to a beloved in the name of "for-your-own-good". But…
I understand your perspective - but I believe he is doing it wrong. Because he is literally saying "I know what is best for you" while not even telling her about the situation - she can't even make a choice with her own LIFE because he is making all of them for her. Also, why can't he just tell her the assassination plot & how he was not involved. Then they could join together in getting revenge. Her chances of getting revenge would be more successful if she had Prince Bo & the Ma clan army behind her. But pushing her away so they could hate each other - that makes no sense. But maybe if I watch more I will understand his reasoning better, but as of now I think it is illogical.
I semi-understand why Prince Bo is trying to distance himself from MaZhaXing but I honestly feel like he is doing…
After watching episode 16 - I am truly testing my patience not to watch the rest of the series on a 3rd party site. It is getting really good now that the story is truly picking up. I really want to know what happens next!
I semi-understand why Prince Bo is trying to distance himself from MaZhaXing but I honestly feel like he is doing it the wrong way. Like episode 15 was just cruel, there was no need to disrespect her like that. I am grateful she has Ji Chong though - he seems like a great friend. The type of friend that tells you to keep moving forward even though your heart got broken. Why wallow in despair? And he has a point - if someone is being that cruel to you (even for a reason) then why stick around and take the abuse. You need to stand up for yourself. And to be honest I hate the - you need to be hateful in order to protect someone, that plan never works.
P.S. I still utterly despise Ma Jing. For once can she stop making that dumb face. I honestly like every character except for her's. Thank god she was not in the last 2 episodes (15 & 16) or I would have abused the fast forward button. Actually I forgot - I also hate Chu You Gui but not because of the acting but because he just mean lol (part of his character).
