Chong Ming really is my favorite character lol. The dude is a complete mess but so funny lol. The way he out there taking care of his skin more than I do lol - dude is in love with himself.

MDL used to be credibile but I agree it feels like its becoming douban in a sense. I wished there was a way for them to make it so you have to verify your account or something or make it so that ur account has to be active for a while before you can actually rate.

I stopped hoping that MDL comment pages are about reasonable discussions - most of the time its just people fighting or unhappy about the ratings. Or just competing with how many comments a drama can get compared to the other. I feel everything is just a competition that it kind of gets toxic at times. I still love coming here and talking to people because I actually found a considerable amount of good friends on this site. But it does get harder to want to comment when all u sometimes read is negativity. I think people forget that negativity and criticism are 2 different things. I am cool with criticism but people often aim for negativity.

Lol, u know I am the same. I also love spoilers. I tend to wiki things a lot but since c-dramas and k-dramsa dont have wikis I have to scroll comments to find the spoiler I am looking for lol.

Yea I noticed the J-dramas are also rated pretty low. C-dramas are okay if the person doesn't have haters (which is rare but does happen lol). But most of the time everything with someone popular will be rated maliciously.

Probably better to wait until it finishes lol. I like binge watching more comparatively than the waiting game. I also feel like c-dramas are more bingeable since their shows are so long some times the plot doesn't get to where its supposed to until 5+ episodes later.

Well of course. A 1 rating is always really hard to balance out because if 5 people give out a 1 even if another 5 people give the show a 10 - it would just end up as a 5. Which of course is a horrible rating. But sadly we cant stop people from making those fake accounts since they are so easy to make.

That is why I don't put much weight on reviews. Too easy to manipulate and too many poeple willing to manipulate because they want to see the drama do bad.

Shi Yu is cute but I can't imagine him doing well as a crown prince and the future emperor. He seems too introverted for that role.

Idk if he is a God or just an immortal (don't ask me what the difference is lol). But he is definitely the best side-kick. I need one like him - who is always loyal lol. I feel he cares about Shi Ying more than Shi Ying cares about himself.

Rofl, I am kind of the same. I did that with a few movies where I heard they were horrible but still wanted to see to check for myself lol. Some of them I actually enjoyed while others I kind of understood the negativity ROFL (ahem Human Centipede).

Yea - I mean dont get me wrong I think there are people that will not like TLP because it isn't their cup of tea and they have their right to their opinion. Like I saw some people who said they didn't like it and gave a reason behind it which I can respect because that is their own opinion. BUT than we have people who come here and say they hate it and just give it a 1 - and sadly when u go on their account its an inactive account that only rated 1 work which was TLP. That is why I feel we shouldn't put so much weight on ratings because people will go out of their way to downvote it because they know it will hurt the people watching it the most.

Had to look up Gong Li - and she was in Memoirs of a Geisha. Watched that movie so long ago that I forgot who she played lol. It was a beautiful movie though

I am a firm believer of not believing in ratings lol. I think its all about a persons personal taste. What others might rate a 9.8 - I might despise. While on the other hand something else that got a 6.5 I might love. Everyone has different tastes so might as well see for urself.

The emperor is a complete idiot - everyone thought Shi Ying was the future and he would bring the empire to great heights but of course being a sore loser he condemned his son because he couldn't get what he wanted - childish. Another emperor that thinks only of himself over what is the best for the empire he is running -_-

Agreed! Idk why she being so evil for - I understand she comes from a poor background but her sister did nothing wrong but she is constantly bullying her because she is weaker in demeanor. Just not cool!

So, from what I gather - the Grand Priest saved Shi Ying by creating a body double. BUT in order to hide his faith of still being alive from the world he casted some magic to hide it - astrlogical signs. However, at the same time he was doing that Zhu Yan was making a sacrificial rite in order to honor Shi Ying's death. It coincided with what the Grand Priest was doing so in a form of fortune telling he believed that the person to block his pathway to success is the same girl who made the prayer for him as well.

My best way to explain it is if u watched Alchemy of Soul - they hid the astrological sign of the King Star for the ML because they didn't want anyone to know his strength and faith. Same kind of concept I believe.

Love made him a bit too stupid in my opinion. Why be an emperror when ur going to base ur decisions on the fact u love a merfolk whose clan hates ur kingdom -_-. I understand love crosses all borders but that doesn't mean he should throw his own flesh and blood son out the window to do so.

Really hoping he gets his though. His incompetency annoys me.

I think Chong Ming is my favorite character lol. Found him super talkative in the beginning but he growing on me lol. And the fact that I have a baby parrot just makes me love Chong Ming more lol.
