He fell in love with Shi Ying's mother but was unable to get with her so now is teaching her son. And protecting him from evil while also trying to make him conquer the world lol. Idk but he got the Professor Snape look down lol.
Chong Ming is hilarious lol. This man really was all in tears because he got emotional with how devoted Zhu Yan was in saving Shi Ying (believing he was to be dead). While in tears this man really said " I am going to test her again and if she doesn't give up he is going to KILL her and bury her" LOL. Bro WHAT? Isn't he supposed to feel for her and give up on killing her lol? He still wants to kill her after hearing all that lol?
Got to give it to Chong Ming his friendship and loyalty to Shi Ying so strong that even though he got moved by Zhu Yan he still wanted to kill her LOL. Man didn't care 1 bit lol.
The fact that u watch The Boyz just makes u even cooler now, to me lol! That is a great show.
Me too lol. I just wished Jensen Ackles came back lol. I am a huge fan of Supernatural as well so when I heard he was in it last year - it was the best season for me. And Ackles did a great job as well!
Yea it seems like the first half is where they build up the world and the relationship between ML & FL along with the other relationships. But in terms of like action it seems like we might have to wait - like u said until the shark dies which I am guessing is played by Alan Fang.
I really hope Xiao Zhan does play an evil character. It will be interesting to see. I know in another drama they also had the ML play both the good and evil counterparts of their character. The ML also had an ancestor was bad and he played both parts. So lets see

I do wonder if Xiao Zhan will play his ancestor as well since u said they looked similar in the novel. I feel like the interesting part of the story (like the action) wont happen until like episode 20ish or something.

That is the case with many costume dramas though in my opinion lol. The princess/prince would be told to marry someone their parents have picked for them - but they are unhappy with that choice because they already have someone they like or want to be able to pick the person they prefer. So, they do some weird things to get themselves out that marriage - always ending up with some over thought out plan that tends to make the situation worse lol.

Understandable. Not everyone can enjoy the same things. I don't think the motivation is that ridiculous though - she was a child when she met Shi Ying who pretty much saved her. And now imagine believing that the reason he died & his mother were injured and the consort in question were killed was all coming from the fact that the FL had an argument with the consort. In her mind she thinks she is the reason for his death - not something someone could easily forget in my opinion. Because she thinks she owes her life to that person and also feels a ton of guilt. But that is just how I see it.
It is a prequel to Mirror: A tale of twin cities. But it can be considered a stand alone because different characters are involved - they just are of the same universe. If that makes sense lol.
