Oh definitely. That emperor is so stupid. I understand he loved her and he was in pain but Shi Ying is his own son. He didn't even give him any time to defend himself - just stamped traitor on him and let his name disappear. He didn't think it was a little odd that his son who is like 12 years old would want to kill his consort over a tiny argument -_-. His motive wasn't even reasonable. He is a crown prince at the end of the day so why would he care about some consort. His dad is dumb and idk how he got the throne.

That is what I thought as well. Most of the time the masters would be like "you must let go of hate and move on" but he is LIKE YES GET UR REVENGE lol. Like way too different. I don't think he wants to hurt Shi Ying but like u said - he wants to use him.

I dont think she was. I think she conjured up the sand demon so that way it could kill her double that she made. Because u can see her from far away (the real body) doing the spell.

Exactly! Everyone is going to like something or hate something completely different lol. Can't expect us all to love the same things. And the difference of opinions give us a different perspective to look at which makes it more fun as a viewer, in my opinion.

Honestly, I think it is fine if people don't like the FL or her voice. It just not for everyone we are after all viewers so we of course like some things and dislike others. One of my favorite movies is Batman the Dark Knight - and I cant stand the FL in that one as well lol. But still love the movie.

Idk why but I really feel the mother didn't commit suicide but was killed by the Grand Priest Da Siming. My Reason? The actor plays bad guy roles in every drama ROFL. Jokes aside . . the mother promised that she wouldn't commit suicide and I understand she wanted to protect Shi Ying but she had other options like running away. So . . .I feel like that flashback was false and the Grand Priest killed her maybe? It just feels like he wants Shi Ying to get revenge really badly

Sadly the voice is a common feature of many FL's in like 75% of costume dramas. Idk I think they find it cute or something hence why they keep doing it. I have gotten used to it after watching several so I can bear it lol. But I can understand as well since in the beginning it was my biggest problem with these dramas.

I think she was a spy or something send by the mer people or idk some other group. I can't imagine someone killing their own unborn child just to get back at a child unless they had ulterior motives. I think because the emperor is purely incompetent the enemies probably prefer him in power besides for Shi Ying who is known for being pure and strong. After all it is easier to fight a dumb emperor rather than a smart one. And that is why they targeted Shi Ying. But just my opinion lol. Could be an entirely different reason.

From what I understand is that Shi Ying is destined to do great things, however, the FL will kill him which will bring calamity to the ML. They don't really explain why she would kill him but just that he should kill her before she does.

Didn't read the novel but I agree - she doesn't seem to be evil but more scheming. I think because she came from a poor background she wants to be able to become something but doesn't seem to want to hurt anyone either.

I like the bird when he is smaller - he looks so cute lol. But I agree it looks pretty good - especially the transformations and everything. Ahhh, Shi Ying really just looks ethereal it is honestly unreal at this point.
