Did she? Idk she seems a lot older and the fact she is always taking care of YGH just seems more like something an older sister would do compared to a younger sister. I would have to rewatch and pay attention to find out lol. Because ge could just mean brother in general and when HJ calls GH as his older brother in law it could just mean CHJ is older than YGH. But who knows lol. It is all confusing - wished they gave us their ages and stuff.

Yea but if Ye Fang went to military first that would mean she would be older. YGH is 1 year younger than XCS which would mean in 1975 YGH is 17. But to join the military u have to be at least 18 years old to join but Ye Fang was already in the military at the beginning of the drama which means that she has to be at least 18 years old and she never calls XCS with the ge which means she might be the same age as XCS.

There is no way she can be 1 year younger than Xiaomei either because that would make her 16 and she definitely cant be in the army at that time.

I don't think she moved on entirely from that decision- I think she decided that XCS was no longer able to be hers so she forced herself to move past him and married YGH. However, I still think every now & then she regrets marrying YGH. I think she has multiple regrets but the only one that she can maybe fix is being able to get pregnant. And that is why u see her drinking those herbal medicines. But everything else is just too late and no longer able to be changed. Even now u can tell how much she regrets not being able to play the violin - but she has lost that opportunity since there are probably younger more talented people now in that field that she cant compete with at her age.

With XCS - I think she also still has regrets. But not those kind of regrets u think about everyday. But the regret that if someone asked u "if you could go back in time would u change it?" and I think her answer would be yes. She would make a different choice and not the one she had chosen.

Yea I remember CHJ was at the wedding but ChunXiao was active and doing really well in terms of business. And we know YF works at the company so its strange that even during that time they never had a conversation fo what she did or where she worked. And with YGH - its like he stopped talking to hsi own parents and his sister. Dude just fell off the map and only talked to CHJ and that is it 0.o.

Yea I understood that the reason why they set up XCS was so it could be easier to smuggle goods because he was probably hindering them from doing it as much. I still can't believe CHJ would work with LSY - like he knows what a scummy person he is. But I guess he reminded him of himself lol.

Well I dont think we ever had that many scenes with XCS & HHL lol. They were never really sweet together - it was mostly just more episodes of them being in a relationship. However, the majority of the time it was HHL not even admitting if they were in a relationship or them hiding it. Its even weird even calling it a relationship to be honest lol.

YGH is weird. He got the girl & a business & a house. But dude still jealous of XCS. Like he doesn't even care about him or his life but dude just cant help but compare his life to XCS. Its not his fault tht HHL never loved him - she married him out of convenience and nothing more.

Was he? I thought he wanted the equipment that Xiaomei had because of his hand. That was why he was showing his hand shaking to Qi Tian. He thought it would help him or something. Because he was willing to pay a huge amount of money for it - I cant imagine him getting a profit from it when he is selling it for more than Xiaomei got it I think. He said he would give them an additional 3000 yuan on top of the money already.

I don't think she is carrying a torch but I do think she regrets not picking XCS for sure. I think she realizes that yes YGH can provide her with more but with XCS he would have allowed her to continue her dreams of playing the violin. While with YGH - his mother pretty much stopped her from continuing when she tried so hard.

But in the end she made a choice in the hopes that she would be happier abandoning XCS. But in reality it turned out that it was never about how much XCS or YGH could provide her but how far she could go with playing that really made her happy. It was her own drive. I think if she didn't pick anyone - neither XCS or YGH - she would have been content with her life & maybe even happy. Maybe miss XCS a little but at least she had her love of the violin. But with YGH it all ended. She has the money but the one thing she always wanted - her violin - was gone and hidden away in a closet just collecting dust.

Do YGH & CHJ not talk to Ye Fang or something? Ye Fang works for ChunXiao and owns shares. If they talked she would have easily told them that XCS owns the place. I guess it shows how estranged Ye Fang is from her own brother and her husband.

Dude miserable for sure. He is still living in the past and can never let things go. Idk why he married HHL if all he is going to do it bring up XCS every minute. He reminds me of Heizi in that regard. Always thinking his wife is cheating on him or something. While YGH thinks his wife is constnatly thinking of XCS. He isn't stupid - he knows HHL never loved him and only loved XCS. But for some reason he is shocked by the information -_-.

And of course YGH cheating again to get ahead. Partnerign up with CHJ's (when he shouldn't because his job doesn't allow it) to get ahead. The shortcut route again but this time it is illegal.

Yea I think CHJ & YGH are the same age so both 1 year younger than XCS. But I think Xiaomei is also the same age as CHJ & YGH. It doesn't make sense if she isn't because I think HHL is also 1 year younger than XCS. So, it makes sense that CHJ, YGH, Xiaomei & HHL are all 1 year younger than XCS. I think YF might be older than YGH because she joined the military already and she was engaged. I can't imagine her parents making her get engaged at 17 or her joining the military at 17 or younger. I feel that would be too young. So, it would make sense if YF is older than YGH.

Maybe she regrets not stopping him from taking that job since the beginning. Dude really went from an innocent guy that everyone thought needed taking care of to some kind of villain that is just trying to manipulate everything. He colluded with LSY to get XCS in trouble, working with YGH to do business when he cant because he is an official AND he cheating on his wife. Dude was like let me be complete scum -_-.

I don't think we can have any more time skips though. At least not a big one. Because right now it is July 2001 and SARS happens in November 2002. Which means that it is a little more than a year until we get the end. I think CHJ will also get caught along with Heizi and LSY because there isn't much more time. Or he mgiht get caught a few months later but not by much.

LSY is scum for sure. Does he not have any original ideas though? He does the foreign money exchange thing that Qi Tian wanted to do and steals his connections - than he does smuggling and when XCS wants to do medical technology that loser also wants to do it -_- and steals his ideas. Dude just a parasite at this point

LOL - that is very true. He has his flaws but at least he loyal to Xiaomei and does things the right way. Someone u could be proud of.

YGH's expression was like "I was trying to avoid him, why is he here now?". He is such a coward that he can't even face XCS but always mentioning him behind his back -_-. I don't even understand why he is still so jealous of him either. He got the girl, has a great house, is making a lot of money and yet he is still jealous of XCS for some weird reason -_-. It's like he is never satisfied with anything at this point.

YF should have been left him and he is cheating on her? Like wtf! Dude really let the power get to his head and became a real villain of the story. I should have known he was only going downhill since he partnered up with the biggest dirtbag - LSY.

Looks like we are getting jail time for Heizi & CHJ. But my only concern is when is LSY being escorted to the gallows?

If I remember correctly XiaoMei was 24 years old during the time she was helping XCS rehabilitate. Which would mean she would be 1 year younger than XCS. I think when she told XCS tht she was applying for being a rehab doctor she was 24 but there was some time between the dinner that was on July 16, 1981. I think a lot of time passed since than & it probably was 1982 when she said she was 24. Idk it is confusing lol. She is either 24 or 25 in the year 1982 lol. Got the same issue as u with the Xiaomei timeline lol.

I think it kind of shows that the decisions they made in the younger years is what is making them have so much resentment now during their present life. The only one that is truly happy are XCS & Xiaomei well we can also add QT & XCS's sister. But everyoen else is kind of jealous or not content with their life because all they are thinking about is what they used to have or what they used to be or trying to beat XCS. They hate that he is successful while XCS was always happy when his friends succeeded. Just goes to show what kind of people they were.

I think the HHL & YGH are necessary because I need to see them miserable lol. With all the stuff they did - they need karma to hit them.

Yea that is the image I saw as well. Guessing they only have 1 child which makes sense since they have the 1 child policy

I think like 10 year old-ish. They didn't seem like toddlers or teenagers. So, most likely around 10ish.

Yea but that love has burnt out I think for YGH now. He used to look at HHL with love - like she was a butterfly he could never catch. But now that he is married to her - it seems like she is a trophy. But now that the trophy has sat on the shelf for a while he no longer cares for her or even dotes on her like he used to do. In a way it feels like he hates her because of the fact she can't have a child anymore.

It is funny how he keeps bringing up XCS - like dude jealousy is a bad thing but he is just obsessed at this point. I wonder if he wants to marry XCS or something lol. Like XCS has not once wanted to compete with him for anything - or said "omg look how much money YGH is making, I need to beat him". He just does what he needs to do and move on. Sometimes I wonder if the scriptwriter is letting us know that pondering on what others have will only weigh u down and u won't be able to prosper in life. It is only when u forget those things and continue forward that true prosperity will happen.
