So, from what I heard Li Qin was actually in lockdown during the filming of this drama. I forgot what city she was in but once she got there it went on lockdown for a few weeks. So, they had to change the story so her scenes probably got cut because they couldn't wait for her and had to continue filming.

I still think her character is great though and I am actually loving Xiaomei (1 of my favorite characters along with XCS & QT). I think we will have more than enough time for development since it seems like she will enter midway in helping him . But lets see.

I agree she has said some right things but her behavior just doesn't settle right with me. It just feels like she has a tendency to use people and throw them away - which I am not a fan of.

And yes he can take a shortcut but that also means others can question if he is fit to be where he is. It's like if a doctor decided to take a shortcut - no one would want to be a patient for them because they would want the best care. They wouldn't trust that person because of the said shortcut. It is one thing if u take a shortcut but ur fit for the job but how would someone know that unless u proove urself. And HHL didn't care for the 100 other soliders that also wanted an opportunity to be elite. Ur depriving those people of an opportunity just because u want urself to succeed - as a viewer I would have to say that is the definition of selfish.

No she is hateful. She literally told XCS to take the shortcut and called him selfish just because he was unwilling to take a shortcut like she has. Other people in the army do not have those same opportunities but she wants him to cheat so he could progress faster - that is UNFAIR and the absolute definition of selfish. And she had the audacity to say he was selfish when he was actually trying to be selfless while also not losing face in front of the other soldiers. She thinks that she got where she has without any connections but in truth she has only got there with connections. She makes me mad lol.

I appreciate HHL for never beating the hateful allegations. She hasn't let me down yet. Stays true to her character of being the most hateful - making sure that I was always right about her so appreciate that.

SAME! And I keep thinking I wouldn't be able to dislike her more than I already do BUT does she surprise me. I just dislike her more & more. Especially after the new episodes - this girl said take the shortcut -_-. Funny how someone from nothing said that and only took shortcuts so I guess it makes sense since that is how she got to where she is. But not everyone is like that - willing to step on others just to obtain their dreams.

Saw the most funniest thing. Apparently one of the hooligans in episode 13 is actually the fake WWX from the Untamed 🤣🤣.

I agree. Wasn't very happy with XCS falling for YGH's love interest especially since he said he would help him. However, to his credit, he was willing to back down and let him have her because of his friendship. But YGH was the one that told him to have a fair fight - really wished he didn't though. Wouldn't have to deal with HHL and her crazy behavior of being a user.

But I don't blame XCS for that situation only because he can't help who he likes & he was willing to step down. The FL should have more of a story as the story progresses - XiaoMei is a very sweet character.

Now that u say that - ur right. Should have seen the signs early on. She practically just used everyone around her and tossed them away the moment they lost their value. I don't mind if someone takes help from a friend but to turn around and just forsake them is weird to me. At least be appreciative of the sacrifice they made for u. Like once she found YGH & XCS that is when she was able to let Qi Tian know that she didn't need his help. But before that she would take it -_-.

AGREED! They are a match made in heaven - YGH at least has his moments. But HHL is just terrible with each passing episode.

1. Romance is strong and there is romantic feelings from multiple couples but be warned it takes a while before the main ship begins. The ML is interested in the 2nd FL before he gets interested in the FL.
2. Hard to answer - they meet in the very first episode but if u mean like when do they start liking each other? Well, I can't answer that. The FL likes the ML since early on but the ML still needs to get there.
3. If u like period dramas/history I would say the storyline is very interesting. The 70s is a very different time and u can tell when the drama starts so it isn't just about the romance but more about hardships that occurred and how a lot of young people were unable to fulfill their dreams because of the laws of the time (no college exams were happening meaning people couldn't go to college - hence a lot of peoples futures were on hold). Honestly, it was interesting just learning what people went through during that time.

NO you dont! Lol, very true as well I didnt even think of it that way. Not many people actually marry their 1st love or even the 2nd or 3rd one. People tend to date and break up. I know it is the 70s but some relationships even back then weren't forever. After all people also do get divorced - it is just the way the world works.

OMG so true! If he was a man and didn't look so scared XCS wouldn't have stepped in and we wouldn't have this ridiculous romantic relationship that no one asked for. With the most selfish 2nd FL characters

With the previews it seems like episode 18 will be the turning point.

Qi Tian really is the best friend that XCS deserves. He is really going above & beyond taking care of XCS sister and dad.
