Could someone explain to me what JOF people are talking about in the comments is? PS: I cannot wait to see Sean…
I haven't really seen JOF but from what I can tell people are saying because it shares a vague concept - in this example being a master & disciple relationship - it means that it is plagiarized. Which, honestly, I feel is a bit of a weird take because we all know there are many movies out there that share a concept but are completely different.

I mean every zombie movie can be seen having the exact same concept - group of people + zombies + killing zombies + finding a way to survive lol. They are the same, but the movies are still VERY different from each other. No one would say its plagiarized just because they share a commonality in one aspect.

At the end of the day, it is whatever - I mean we can all agree that watching a movie or a drama at one point or another has reminded us of another movie or drama; hence why MDL has recommendations because people might like the concept of the drama and want something like it. I don't think it's anything really that it reminds people of something else. It's very rare seeing an original work and JOF isn't the only drama that has done master & disciple - if am not mistake Eternal Love is another one which is SUPER popular and has that same kind of relationship of master & disciple. And honestly, I think the whole master-disciple relationship is quite popular for c-dramas because I have seen it in others. I can't name them all but another S+ Tencent drama called Ancient Love Poetry also had a master & disciple type of relationship. There are a lot of them - its a popular idea just like zombie movies lol.

There's also one very important thing people forget about, when throwing blame around. They've known each other…
Right? I was okay with her getting angry even though I understood both sides of the equation but my thing was AFTER the fact. Like u told him to come to him after he fixed everythign up so why make it harder on him than? ANd go on this goose chase of how u want to break up - I just felt it wasn't that big of a deal for her to do all that especially since she knew what kind of trauma he was going through. A lot of people don't have any idea what they would do in that situation. I just felt it was wrong of her to make it harder for him after it.

ROFL, right? I was like this is the first time Gu Wei is meeting her parents and they are like so . . . . . when u getting married 0.o? Am like what? They just started dating can't he at least have some time before that question pops up? Maybe like the 2nd meeting if anything lol. But its the 1st time and he wants a promise from him. Like maybe its a different cultural mindset but that was just too much for me lol.

She does care about LXZ. She even seems to really care about GX as well. She seems to be a knowledgeable business…
I am glad they don't get that much screen time to be honest lol. I feel if they did I would want to throttle someone lol. But I am satisfied with how things ended for them so it is fine. But I am 100% on the guys side. I personally do not like clingy people because I feel I have my own things to do and if I am afraid to tell someone that I am going out with friends or just want to be alone than I feel that relationship is not the one for me. I would have wished they didn't get back together because I feel the girl was a bit crazy for not thinking she did anything wrong but it is what it is lol.

Well u only have 6 episodes left. And hahah don't worry I am not the type of person to force anyone to watch a drama. Especially since I drop dramas if I just don't have that feeling that it will be good lol. Idk how to explain it but sometimes a drama just doesn't click for me and I drop it. So, if it isn't calling to u that is completely fine lol.

Ur upto the medical incident - that part was a bit upsetting to me because I didn't understand why he was getting punished but apparently a lot of people stated that it happens a lot in China. That people call doctors quacks and than ruin their reputation as well. But I find it a bit weird they would since they are the ones treating people. I kind of wished Gu Wei sued those people. They deserve it!

Yes I agree it is still wrong but I also feel there should be somethings people should let slide. If you fight with somoene over the tiniest things it just becomes a bit tiring. I feel LZX should have let it go and just been helpful in Gu Wei's time of need rather than make things more difficult. It's like if I found out a friend lost his job and I just start telling him how how useless he is - I feel it would just hurt him further rather than help him. I just feel there are some moments that u could let things go and I felt that was one of those moments. LZX blew it a bit out of proportion when it wasn't such a big deal in my opinion. But that is just what I believe lol.

It was fun talking to everyone on this page. It is going to be strange not constantly coming to this page to see if this drama is going to air one day lol or coming to talk to everyone about our GuLin couple. It was fun reading peoples comments and discussing. Just an overall enjoyable experience watching the OOL. Hope to see you guys on another drama page 1 day and hope you guys find another new drama to enjoy :).

I really appreciate the ending we got for this drama. I was a afraid they were going to do a typical c-drama romance ending where they shoved everything into the last 10 minutes and were like - Yea Happily Ever After? But they actually spent 2 episodes just on the main couple with maybe touching up on the side couple here and there. Which I am perfectly fine with because I don't care much for the side couples in any drama lol and prefer it this way. Also, since many c-dramas tend to just give a happy ending for the side couple but than have an open one for the main, which never makes sense to me, so glad the directors and producers went this route.

Honestly, it was beautifully done with how the father helped her daughter with her wedding and made sure she was well off because he knew his time was limited. Even though it was a bit sad I feel the fact they didn't show his death on screen made it better in a way because it showed how Gu Wei & LZX were able to build their home but still remember her fathers words. And it just felt like realistic in a way because having a family member diagnosed with cancer there is a very high chance for the cancer to come back. The actor for LZX's father did an absolutely incredible job in the last 2 episodes - like WOW. I really felt he made those last 2 episodes so much more incredible

Sometimes I wonder which I love more: the drama or the behind the scene clips lol. Like the BTS clips just makes the drama experience sooo much better lol. They are so funny!

Well, the mom I won't put too much on because I feel out of everyone in the family I can understand her the most. She actually just cared and was worried something would happen to her husband which is completely understandable. And it seemed like it was more of a playful hit than anything else - it wasn't like she was aiming to hurt him but more just tapped him. Idk thats how I saw it.

But I agree. I feel the FL runs through things by how she feels and doesnt really try to understand things from the other persons perspective. And I mean I know her family situation and how she is more of an extrovert and all that. But I hope it does make her realize that she could have handled it better. I know married couples go through a lot more than what she went through and they have to find a way to get through it. Not like everyone can go through a divorce after every argument they had.

For me, I feel the ML didn't do anything too horrible. He told her he needed time & space - yes he said it in the wrong way but I feel she could have tried to be understanding at the moment and see what happens later. But to than find out about everything and just blow up - I don't even blame him for not telling her. She practically told him he was a useless bf. I just can't imagine that helping anyone. Like I know some people said it was a wake up call but in reality that doesn't help anyone going through grief hence why so many people see a therapist who are willing to just listen to what htey have to say.

I have noticed that the men seem more willing to just accept that it is their fault while the females believe they are not in the wrong. That is why I am so glad that the 3rd couple is not getting back together because I want the guy to not apologize - it should be her that comes to him. But lets see what happens. I feel I am just way too invested in these characters at this point lol. Maybe because they feel realistic in a way

That is very true - it does feel like though that they seem to just be so in love that they are already are talking about marriage so idk entirely either lol. But I do agree people do need time to build relationships and see if they can put their trust in that person. That is why I can't say either one is wrong really but I more had a problem with how LZX acted after the situation did get resolved. I feel at that point it was over and she could have just taken him back especially since she said come to her when he solved everything. But she kind of just gave him a hard time when he was already having a very bad time. Why make things harder on him? It didn't make sense in that sense to me lol.

The law you mentioned; doubt they have it in Asia. But the rest is spot on.
YUP!!!! So that is why Gu Wei should sue them lol. That family was ridiculous in my opinion. Doing all of that and still staying at the hospital that ur defaming. Like move him to a different hospital - bet money another hospital wouldn't want them because of how they just treated those doctors. People will be afraid - like they made matters SOO much worse.

Been waiting for you. My comment is 3 hours below if you can find it lol.
Yea I agree. But like I have said we don't know how a person would act when they lost everything. We can only sympathize with his situation because he not only lost everything but people are bullying him - his number was leaked (most likely by that trash patients family) where he is just being constantly harassed. I mean I know when I get into a fight with someone - sometimes i just like running away and cleariny my head. For others they dont mind taking it head on - its all about what kind of person u r. We are all different after all. But at least his colleagues were able to help him in his time of need. Super respect for them!! I do wished he sued that family though!!!!

Well Good Samaritan law only is for civilians so that they are more likely to help someone in need. But I was just using it as an example that people like the patients family are the reasosn for why those laws need to be implemented. Because people take advantage of others kindness. Rather than being grateful to a stranger saving ur loved ones life they aim to sue them which is atrocious behavior because it prevents people from than wanting to save someone who would be dying in front of them. Who would want to knowing they could lose everything? Gu Wei should sue them!!!

That part I do agree with. Hence, good looks to Dr. Yan & Dr. Gao for helping him out during that time. However, I was confused because they said he was suspended from work but still wanted him to go in? Strange but lol things must work differently over there compared to here.

I mean I know a lot of peopel are saying it has to do with the age difference but there is only so much I can personally sweep under the rug due to age. It just feels a lot of ME ME ME. But never about the other person. --- U know what is weird? I dont even know when they broke up because when she found him in the middle of no where she didn't say lets break up. She said "find me when u deal with ur stuff". SO, idk why she changed it and said they did break up. It was like she wanted to get revenge for him ruining things with her dad or something - idk. Just felt deliberate like she wanted him to have a tough time because his situaiton wasn't bad enough already.

To be honest, it seems liek all 3 couples the man is always there to give assurance and apologize. The 3rd couple is like the perfect example. Where the girl doesn't even realize she is at fault and wants the male to apologize and jus go back to being her clingyself. It is really weird.

I actually looked it up and China is one of the countries that implemented the Good Samaritan Law. Honestly, they need to do more to protect these doctors.
