Rofl, ur comments are so straight & to the point that I find myself laughing because its just so honest lol. But I agree. JNZ did do the same and right after she said she would stay with him and do whatever it took and all that. But than sort of left him out of the blue without a real explanation or tried to see his side of the story of what they should do.

I prefer Hu Yang lol. Still hoping that in an alternate film that it might happen lol.

RIGHT? That annoyed me soo much. Like was it necessary to spend almost more than 50% of screen time for episode 25 just blowing rainbow farts about how great Gao Liang is. U could have spend that time on GYY's story which is practically the only thing carrying this drama. Most people are interested to know what is happening between GYY & A Xiu at this point. I don't think people wnat to constantly hear how great GL is by people who have an extreme bias.

It's disappointing because we had to find out major points of the story through actors posting out edited scenes such as the letter. I feel that letter would have helped us understand what kind of life GYY was living when he was a new recruit. Like how people were treating him & how he was sort of isolated from people because they felt they couldn't compete with him. But he never complained. It just is upsetting they removed those scenes but kept hours of footage of people just praising GL. I feel that could have easily been edited down to like 2 minutes and we would have gotten the idea pretty easily.

So, now, the few scenes that are left for GYY do tell the story but like u said its because of how great Xiao Zhan did acting him out. But I feel I would have liked to see more because the character GYY is very interesting and I would have liked to know more. Like how did he handle the situation with A Xiu all those years he was in the academy. How did it progress? But instead we get a short 5 minute clip of him reading letters explaining it all. It just isn't enough for a situation that is that complicated.

AHHHH, I forgot about that for a good minute lol. Fair point actually & ur right. She did just break up with him for no reason but to say we should concentrate on our careers. She didn't really allow him to make a decision to see if he wanted to work through it. Just sent him a letter saying it was done. So, yea u got a point. That is a good opportunity for him to know all the details and than decide together and see what u want to do or at least let him have a choice.

I think the break up initiated by GYY had no need for further discussion. Like I feel no matter what JNZ wanted or said he just wanted to break up so he could look after A Xiu. Thats why I said I don't even think JNZ has a decision to make in that circumstance.

Yea, idk it felt kind of like she walled herself off from everyone in a way. Definitely strange because it isn't like she had no feelings - since she is in love with GYY but even with him she kind of wanted him to just get over it and move on. So, maybe she just likes to get over things quickly and move on.

Very true. I mean I do feel JNZ & GL are kind of the same in a way. They got past the war and the affects of it really quickly. I don't think any of them really were that upset or felt any kind of depression or that much sadness compared to the other soldiers.

I agree that people should be allowed to make their own decisions and in most c-dramas I hate it when they break up because they think they are doing the right thing or protectign them. But in this situation - I just don't see what decision she has u know lol?

Like, the most she can say is "that I dont want to break up". But he has already decided to be with another woman and take care of her out of duty so her choice isn't really there u know? Like it isn't like she can wait until the situation resolves itself - because he is going to be married. So, is she going to wait for them to divorce if that ever happens? Thats why I said its just complicated because what kind of decision does someone have when the person falls out of love or wants to marry someone else. Because I feel the decision has already been made by 1 party there isn't really much room for discussion with these kind of things.

It would be one thing if like say he was going to jail and he decided to break up with her because he didn't want her to be waiting for her. Than I agree he should let her make her own decision if she is willing to wait. But when someone chooses another person - I feel there isn't a choice anymore lol.

Yea, sadly it has to be his own decision and he can't rely on someone else to make it. I commend him for following through but I would never be able to do that. I just dont see why I have to sacrifice so much but I also know our situations are different and we are different people. But it is frustrating to see that he is the only one that has to suffer while others are moving on.

JNZ father was so busy blowing rainbow farts about GL I just starting toning him out lol. But I see the similarity between the 2 and proabably why he disliked GYy because he saw himself in him. They both kind of sacrifice their own love for duty and obligation.

Well in my opinion, I understand where you're coming from. Honesty is important but I feel because the circumstances are so unique that if he did tell the truth I just don't think she would have been able to move on.. I think she would have done her best to help him as much as she could and he would than worry about A Xiu and her at the same time and I feel like he just couldn't take it anymore. So in this situation I think it was best for him to lie to her so that she could have a clean break from him and be able to find her own happiness. We did say that that she is similar to her mother that she would have stayed with him but then eventually GYY would have divorced her because of the guilt and duty that he feels for the other woman. So, I think it was best that he lied so that she could still have herr own life and not constantly wait for him and hope things become better. It's practically him saving her future in a way.

I think GYY has always just tolerated GL to be honest. I just was lost in how GL has now become the love expert. I feel at this point the directors are just giving every kind of achievement to GL even when it doesn't make sense lol. While making GYY look like he is nothing but yet he achieved better results. I guess people still hating on GYY, even now in the army.

Not surprised really. I think just way too many scenes of GYY have been cut at this point. I barely saw much of GYY in episode 25. It was like maybe a total of a minute.

So, won't be surprised if we don't get much of A Xiu and GYY interacting. I mean we haven't seen them at all yet. I am still hoping that GYY gets some kind of happy ending or at least a resemblance of a love life.

At this point no one is officially married or together as for I know lol. I do think JNZ and GL are heading that way though probably by episode 30 I think.

As for GYY, I think he will eventually ask A Xiu to marry him since it seems like 3 years have passed since Zhang Fei's mother died so the mourning period is over. So, I think we will get official relationshops soon.

I sort of agree. I think he needed to break up with her if his decision was to end it with her so he can be able to take care of his fallen brothers wife and child. But than I get a bit conflicted lol.

I understand he should have told her the truth and in most cases I would agree. But knowing JNZ she would have waited and wanted to find a way to help A Xiu and still be able to be with GYY. I think she needed to get over him before she could be willing to be okay with his plan. I think at that time there was no way she would accept his solution. She pretty much told him that she would wait if it was because of his grief so he had to lie and say its because of her father. He wanted her to move on and just be free of him.

But agree I really wished he wasn't self sacrificing. Understood that some soliders are like this after a war and believe that they need to take care of the family members of those who died but still. I just wished he wasn't the only one. Why doesn't he deserve to have what everyone else does? How come he is always seen under a microscope?

Yea, whoever did the editing needs to find a new job lol. Like its so confusing - just write the year or date on the bottom. Rather than constantly put 6 months later or 3 years later. No one understands because they did it like 30 times in 1 episode. In this situation its just better to write the date so we understand.

That is true but we still have to see lol. AHHHHH!!! I feel so bad because I am still not emotionally ready to have them end up together. Don't know what's wrong with me & why I just can't find myself rooting for them. Maybe when I see more episodes and them actually being together I will be more accepting of it.

Well, I am glad they skipped most of it because I don't think I would care how they do in school and just have people praising GL as well. I felt even in 26 it was just a bunch of praising and nothing more. So, don't mind the skip just wished it was more cleaner so we could know how much it really was lol.

Oh u never saw arsenal military academy before? I liked it but I think it also fell short due to censorship and stuff. Wished it had more but still really enjoyed it since it does have more romance and all that lol.

I am trying to see if I can watch other dramas but just been busy with Ace Troops & work ROFL. Talking about Ace Troops while at work too :X lol. But idk for some reason most of the iQiyi dramas just don't talk to me like that. And as for Tencent I got the 1 year VIP when I thought OOL was coming out (& Xiao Zhan became brand ambassador for WeTV) - bad mistake on my part lol. Should have waiting for that first episode to drop :/. Now that subscription is just catching dust lol.

OOoooo he was watching One Piece and pretty far into the anime as well lol. It looks like the Wano Island Arc from like the mini second we saw it lol.

All the fights in the Wano Island arc are amazing. But I enjoy watching the anime more because the aesthetics are just so visually pleasing - OMG. It just looks absolutely beautiful. I personally still love the DressRosa arc because of the coliseum and so many new characters that joined that I absolutely fell in love with lol. My favorite still being Barthalamew - dude is a complete fanboy ROFL. When I saw his ship - I was like CRINGE! Rofl, but it was just so funny lol. He really had luffy on his helm rofl.

Idk when they keep mentioning God Usopp - I am just like I feel Franky did more u know? Like he fought so hard and didn't get the recognition that Usopp got just for getting lucky in a situation.

YES! That entire thing with Merry got on my nerves. Because it was a hard decision for Luffy to make but he knew that Merry couldn't go on any further and he needed to move on or else his dream of becoming King would never happen. But Usopp getting all emotional and thinking his feelings are the only ones that matter when everyoen is having a hard time. I was so glad that Zoro put his foot down and told them that if he doesn't apologize we are not bringing him back. Because I would have honestly been pissed if they brought him back without a word and everythign was just normal.

The way Oda connects things from like episode 20 to like episode 500 is just crazy. It's like u forgot all about it but than he mentions it again & ur like WOW that is so smoothly connected. ---- I am more interested in Zoro after seeing that samurai that looks exactly like Zoro in the wano island arc lol. I want to know whats the relationship.

I am ready for disappointment lol. I am not giving myself any hope that GYY will end up with anyone else but A Xiu. And I know Hu Young is going to appear again and I am just not ready for it!!!

Lol, understandable. And I do agree. I still can't bring myself to like Gao Liang after all the things he did. But I am just glad he can finally act like a friend & not just constantly argue with GYY over JNZ every few minutes.

But the fact that he did start an argument wiht him in 24 and practically told him to commit suic*de when GYY told him he couldn't live like this anymore. It really made me disdain his character at that moment. No one should ever say that to someone when someone's mental state is already at the border of going over. I mean for all he knew - he could have honestly have done it. I mean GYY has been depressed and filled with grief for so long with no one helping him. But GL saying that to him was just not right - and that too over a breakup that isn't life or death.
