Probably due to the government clean up thats going on. A lot of celebs & dramas are staying low right now. A lot of new rules & regulations are being released in how celebs should act which is causing a ripple effect in a sense. They probably don't want to release such a popular drama just 1.5 weeks after these regulations went up - it probably will also hurt how they are promoting it. Since promotions are also being scrutinized right now.
Well, it has been officially postponed. I am disappointed but it is probably for the best. Right now China is going through a MAJOR clean up. Rankings are taken down, shows are being taken down & everything is being looked at with a magnifying glass. And this just started getting implemented a week ago. Probably best to lay low.
Probably the reason it isn't getting released because they can't do proper promotions without getting into trouble by the government or getting a lot of heat that could cause issues. So, I guess we just have to wait a little longer 😭😭😭😭

Yea I prefer this way and to be honest I feel this way protects Xiao Zhan more. People aren't going to go off hurting him because he is popular. And they are cracking down on yxh accounts so they can't do what they used to do either (instigate fan wars). Last year when Weibo did their supposed clean up it was a joke - they did nothing & said they were cleaning up. This is way better.

Xiao Zhan's acting as WWX was just perfection. Oh . . . .the crying/smiling scene - I think we are talking about Episode 33 which whenever I rewatch the show I always skip that 1 episode because it is painful. The way he portrayed his hurt & how much pain he was going through u definitely felt heart break for him. Especially when you knew he didn't do anything wrong & all he wanted to do was protect those that were getting bullied by the other powerful clans. But no one spoke up for them so he had to. Just thinking back on it - reminds me of how well Xiao Zhan did in his portrayal because u really felt every ounce of emotion that WWX had.

I was really hoping for another costume drama 😂 even though I know Xiao Zhan has complained about his hairline whenever he does do them 😂😂. That is so true. I honestly don't know what is happening to other artists until it gets big enough that almost everyone is talking about it & it's all over weibo hot search. Than again I barely know the drama that is happening in Hollywood lol until it becomes big enough to be on multiple channels. Way too many arists to follow every news.
I also saw XK & YY before I saw Xiao Zhan but for me they were okay - nothing that really stuck out to me I guess. And in the beginning I also just though Xiao Zhan was just really attractive - but it wasn't until I started watching interviews that I started liking him. And I love the fact that he is "normal" - like he went to college and changed career paths. Idk why that kind of normalizes him to me - like he chose 1 thing and than changed.
The way he speaks is really eloquent & he never comes off as snobbish or rude. I feel I have seen way too many artists/sports players always come off as "I am too cool". Xiao Zhan never acts like that. Even the recent Li Ning "variety show" type of video that came out - he acted so normal and cute. It never seemed awkward for the Olympian that was with him. Sometimes I see artists always put on a big air around them which just makes it super awkward.

To be honest, I don't think anyone would want to put their face on KW's body - I feel like that is asking to get their careers killed. But maybe ur right & Tencent will just reshoot it again - but that is also a huge waste of money. They are going to need someone BIG to make up for the loss - yes YZ is a big name but to reshoot it twice ur going to need someone just as big. I looked up the "Army of the Dead" and ur right the character wasn't a major character that they had to replace. And plus I think they have a bigger budget than Golden Hairpin does. From some posts I have seen - there was a supporting character that was replaced through AI in a past drama but it looked really bad & it was obvious. I saw the pictures - and it was bad lol. At that rate I wouldn't even release the drama & just take the loss. Because we all know that the drama is going to get a lot of negative publicity regardless - it's best to just let it go. I always thought the whole idea that people actually thought Xiao Zhan fan's got AO3 banned was strange. Like if reporting actually cancelled an entire site than why is weibo still around? Yea I have seen his name a lot on the hot search - it's like deja vu during KW's situation. But ZZH definitely got cancelled a lot quicker - but I understand the reasons. It has to do with politics & war crimes which is a sensitive issue & I feel others shouldn't undervalue it just because they are not part of the situation. ---- I noticed a lot of people comparing it to XZ's sitation & I am like NO! But the pandemic gave me a lot of free time lol that I ventured out to try other dramas. I started with a k-drama & just kept browsing through netflix. I only wanted to watch modern dramas though because I felt costume dramas felt like anime live adaptations lol. And we all know how bad those are so I avoided it like the plague. I saw TU a lot as I browsed but always ignored it. Finally, I was about to give up on c-dramas because they just weren't interesting to me but I decided to give TU a chance & WOW. In the beginning I was ready to fast forward it like crazy but the moment XZ smiled I was like ummm maybe it won't be that bad. And it was really good - story was nice but XZ's portrayal of WWX just captivated me. Of course, this didn't make me a fan because I just enjoyed the drama but after a few weeks I decided to look him up and saw a lot of his interviews & WOW! He felt so down to earth & completely different from the celebs we have here in America. I always found the "I am too cool" attitude a bit like they are showing off too much or coming up with a fake personality. Xiao Zhan felt more realistic - like how a normal person would act in my opinion. He smiled when he was happy & laughed when someone told a joke - he wouldn't be like oh no sorry I am famous I have to hold it in & act cool for my fans. I hate when celebs make up a persona for their celeb lives - but Xiao Zhan just seems different. Like the man acts professional when doing his job and acts like himself when he isn't doing interviews/dramas. So, it was the interviews for me that made me his fan - just loved the way he talked & worded things. Never felt like he thought he was better than others. So, I am the same as u actually. I never was a fan of others before - I thought some people were attractive but that's it. I wouldn't really care about them or know any details.

Well. I heard YAMG has a shorter duration per episode. It's like 35 minutes rather than 45 minutes - which is a 10 minute difference. So that's like 8 episode of a difference I believe lol (having to do math). So in the end that drama does end up to be about 24 episodes. Which I feel is a good amount for modern dramas. I always feel dramas dip in quality when they start trying to make a drama longer & don't care if the content is good or not. So, I really hope OOL is about 29 or 32 episodes. I don't want it to be longer though.
